The great coils of Rayquaza's body began to fall haphazardly for the dusty floor beneath. It was a good thing that it was not far; the lack of height prevented the force it hit the ground from growing any and ensured that the rickety old floorboards would not collapse beneath the sudden weight that was piled atop it. The last vestiges of light faded from the legendary's throat in a few sparks of yellow, and then all was still. A few golden yellow currents of energy discharge did appear from time to time along the length of the dragon's body as it shuddered and heaved an almighty sigh of weariness, but other than that Rayquaza was prone and unable to move after its last expenditure of energy.
It seemed that the blast that had destroyed a bit of the Tower had given the few Zubat still lurking in the room cause to flee. The only thing that could be heard was the faint pattering of feet on the floorboards from the pokemon below and the faint whistle of wind through the cracks of the walls. With the part of the building further laid waste by Rayquaza's quick temper, a fresh breeze had began to permeate the musty, dusty room and so swept out any lingering scent of the human-scented pokemon that had irritated it so. However...
Rayquaza turned its massive head toward the moonlight lingering just above and out of its reach. The movement alone seemed to require it to exert an immense amount of strength and was something it would have just preferred to do without; but the sight of the stars shining down into the graveyard provided the legendary with a sudden sense of nostalgia that worked well to soothe the edges of its burning hatred.
At least, just for a little bit.
The thought that still there were humans lurking within the Tower [surely the blast would have frightened away such stupid creatures, but again, they were a rather foolish lot] had the edge of its fin-like tail snapping outward to slam against the nearby wall once, twice, three times in warning. It also served to help the legendary attempt to ground itself and gather up its tree-trunk sized coils in a vain attempt to force the need to recharge to speed up. It managed to lift its torso up a little bit-- but then soon after Rayquaza collapsed back onto the ground with a rumble of displeasure and slitted eyes. That it would be reduced to this after an attack, no matter that it did it to all pokemon... It was a disgrace.
With nothing left to do, a draconic rumble of sorts began to thrum along the length of its body, eyes finally falling still in abject lethargy. Since there was no more energy left to lose, there was no place to go but up; a faint twinge of adrenaline began to tear through its body and steadily built as it began to recharge, the effect seemingly sped up by its irritation at the situation.
