At the simple statement, the Swellow looked slightly taken aback. That bad eh? Why did no one stop things like this from happening? Where were all the Sir Lancelots, and King Arthurs of old? Rather then comment on the statement, the bird cooed in sympathy. Faces like that should not exist . .not ever.
At the verbal parry, the dragon leant farther forward, teeth seeming to double in size, as he slowly inhaled--puffing himself up. One could practically smell the annoyance on his breath--as a foggy mist of static gently flowed toward Seiko's face. Draped down near his feet, the dragon's ivory claws let out bone-smacking cracks, as his tail once again lashed through the air. "Heheh--Puddle duck--you'll be swimming pretty soon if you keep antagonizing me." The dragon's smirk had lost it's sadistic curve, but it was still quite intimidating. Reaching out with a three-pronged appendage, he gently laid pressure on Seiko's chest. "Now--What the hell are you doing out here." "Leave Sir Seiko alone . .Achilles. No need to start a fight--i already received a answer for that." "Whatever Featherbrain." The dancing gleam in Achilles' eyes seemed to taunt Seiko, an d dare him to once again be a smart ass.
Deep inside however, the dragon was writhing in disgust. Now his claws were covered in filth, and he was touching thus . . human. Ah --well. Achilles had gotten over that foolish fear after the Destinae incident; for the most part.
Why not here? What a impertinent, question. Hopefully this boy didn't decide to press the issue. "--You don't answer a question, with a inquiry--Duck." Straightening up, and turning his head snobbishly skyward--the dragon ignored Alexandria, and Seiko. However--as the reptilian rose another freak burst of wind seemed to appear, and blew toward the rim of Seiko's breath--the final exhale of the dragon. " . .Just keep that mutt away from Mouse--Duck, or you . Will. Pay." Mutt? Of course he knew. The dragon had a keen sense of smell--and to him, the smell of dog was a warning, to blindfold Aubre and stuff her in the nearest cellar.
Frankly . .all this was a show..he was not that much of a ass. Usually.
------------
As the Growlithe practically inhaled his food--the Swellow blinked; obviously shocked. "You are welcome . .sir . . .?" Soup dotted her breast in dark speckles, and stained her white breast feathers orange. Frankly, Chivalri was rather disgusted with his manners, but preferred not to offend the east. Bad manners hurt no one. Unless you were between the plate .. and the starving creature's maw. The bird was not doing so. "Leave the empty bowl . .I will pick it up later. Hopefully we can sneak you in the house." The bird offered helpfully.
--
The girl was forced to watch with apprehension, as Seiko's face seemed to clash with indecision. For the most part--this fear did not show, due to her urge to be polite. As Seiko spoke, the girl's stomach seemed to collapse, and her face fell as well. With a deep breath, Aubre quickly nodded. "Ye-yes of course. Walk through the barn, and into the hallway, and the bathroom if the first door on the left." The utter , or almost complete, lack of stuttering was a good ploy on her part--but it was likely helped by Achilles claw on her shoulder.
No need to start a fight . . .if one could be avoided. . no need to act scared.
--
Deep in the barn sounds of slurping still continued, as Aubre's stomach gave a little flutter. Rumbling growls then emitted from her midsection--and she blushed crimson.

Seiko faced down the brazen attempt to scare him with calm cool deliberation. He wasn't afraid. What had he to fear from this creature? All it was doing was trying to scare him, and that just wasn't scary enough to work. "Well, then I should have nothing to fear. I am a duck after all." He gave a slight grin at that, more of a smirk. Well, if he was going to try and verbally fight him, he would just let him be immature. He had other things to worry about. Like the fact he'd twitched twice in an hour. That was never a good sign, he realized, considering his last seizure had been in a while, which meant...he may just intrude on their hospitality longer than expected. He just hoped to dear god he didn't. They could do whatever they wanted with him if he had a seizure in their house.
As the dragon lost the sadistic smirk, but placed a claw, and put pressure on his chest, Seiko growled, and snarled "I'm out here because my father was murdered in the town, right in front of me, and I don't like remembering his death every time I walk somewhere. You happy now?" Seiko was mad. They kept asking about it. Didn't they understand that having one of the people who saved your life murdered in front of you, without you being able to do anything, was a painful experience? He was just mad at them. Still, he felt kind of bad after blurting it out. They didn't need to know.
Seiko ignored his next comment, he was too mad at the stupid kangaroo to do anything. He didn't care if he didn't want Aubre to see the dog, if he was going to let it out, he would do just that. Still, he was more mad at himself for slipping up and snarling out, for all of them to hear, that his father was murdered. Now they'd probably pity him, and think, oh the poor kid lost his father. He didn't want their pity. He'd already had enough of it from people who didn't know what it was like to have someone die.
Anthony looked up, and realizing he was a bit too messy for his own liking, busied himself by cleaning up. Soon, he looked much much more presentable, and said "My apologizes. I was a bit too messy there." He was actually rather embarressed. Sure he liked eating like that, but surely he didn't have to make that big of a mess. Made a bad first impression. Then he realized he was acting like Alexandria would want him too, and mentally sighed. Seemed she was rubbing off on him more than he realized. "I'd appreciate that, but don't work too hard. Its okay out here." He had to try and make up for his manners.
She directed him to the bathroom, visibly nervous that he had said yes. Sure she hid it well, but he could tell she hated that he said yes. Well, there goes any chance of winning the most socially tasteful award. Still, he really did have to clean up, so he just said "Thank you kindly." and walked on, hiding his anger at himself. Great. Now he'd not only made her dislike him, but he'd told them about his past. He was just doing absolutely great now. In his anger, he missed his last twitch, which was his wrist flicking. If he had noticed, he would have ran out. That meant that he was going to explode soon. Or at least was likely going to.
Alexandria followed him, nodding to them both and bowing, saying "Many thanks." She was then off, going to try and calm down Seiko. He got mad whenever someone learned of his past, not at them, but at himself. He hated to show weakness, and admitting it to them was like admitting it to himself. He hated that. So, she walked over hurriedly after him, as he was going rather fast. "Calm down!" She whispered, so they wouldn't notice. At least, wouldn't notice as much.
He entered the bathroom, and stripped out of his muddy clothing, closing the door and leaving Alexandria outside. He still had his decency. Cleaning off the mud, he was out in about two minutes, drying with a towel he had packed, then changing. Once he was dressed again, he got out, hat wet but not overly damaged from the exposure. It hadn't dried on, so it got off rather easily. Shouldering his pack again, he walked out into the main room, and said "Thank you. I'll be going now."

As Seiko replied with another verbal parry, an arc of static sparks leapt down Achilles' spine. The smirk seemed to shrink, as the dragon's body began to stiffen, muscles leaping to attention like obedient soldiers. The ivory claws splayed on the sick boy's chest twitched, and then curled into an angered fist, dirt encrusted fabric twining among his talons. Without so much as a huff, the dragon lowered himself to Seiko's level--and tilted the boy toward him ever so slightly. At this minuscule distance the dragon's breath washed over Seiko's face, carrying little sparks with it. The smirk magically reappeared, but this time the thin crack of teeth widened and extended, lips parting in a vicious grin. In an almost joking voice, the dragon mused: "Well Puddle duck--let's see how well ya swim, face down in the mud." The formerly topaz scales, began to turn a sepia color, as the mud and water on the boy's torso seeped into his pristine skin. As a glob of mud settled on the fist currently wrapped about the boy's shirt, the dragon's pumpkin colored eyes widened--as he flinched in disgust. With a snort, he gently pushed the young man away.
It was at that moment, that the boy went off on his little tirade. Even though the dragon felt pity--his response did not show it. "That has nothing to do with why you're right fuckin' here, at this moment. Plenty of holes ya could crawl into, and mourn. But if ya don't want to mourn the loss of that. . Mutt. .I'd suggest ya listen." At these cruel, sadistic, callous words--Chivalri spoke the following in a commanding tone: "I would oblige you silent Sir Achilles! Then in a much more mellow depressed tone, the determined little avian added: "I am deeply sorry for your loss Sir Seiko" Turning to stare at the bird sidelong, any hint of an expression in his tone the dragon answered: "Being honest--thought you'd like that" The bird merely remained in her former position, her beak slack; looking like a heroic statue--if not for the shocked expression on her face.
--
In the barn, Aubre's hand clutched at her chest; when Seiko's grief came to the forefront. The harsh words reminded her of her own pain--that for the most part had been glossed over; by the hectic chaos of war. The sight of flames tearing into the same wood where she had doodled as a toddler--and crinkling their happy photographs into black ash ricocheted through her mind. " S-o-rrr-ry . . Seik-ko." The girl whispered her words inaudible to those outside. No doubt, saying that stung like a fresh would--with salt rubbed in. . poor kid.
But, what a good reason to go homicidal. .then to be bludgeoned into it by a badmouthing dragon?
- Aubre now spoke to Seiko, her back crammed against the door’s support beam, the fist formerly grasping at her chest--was now limp at her sides. As the boy and the Combusken subsequently thanked her, Aubre stated simply: "Yo-ou are welcome." Then bowed slightly as the boy and entourage disappeared into the simple bathroom. After a handful of seconds--the girl let out a prolonged sigh, and allowed her terrified body to relax--as she slumped against the rotted door frame. As her head fell back, a rather loud clunk echoed about the barn. A few of the happily munching Pokemon glanced upward, as their much loved trainer's drew her arms up, and wrapped herself in a hug.
After a few seconds of this, the timid girl walked to the couch, and grabbed her own bowl of soup. For a few minutes the only noises audible were the noises of spoons clinking against fragile ceramic bowls.
Just as the girl laid her empty bowl on the smooth tabletop--Seiko emerged back into the room; not looking quite so pathetic. As the boy bid farewell, a pair of loud masculine voices ground out: "Good riddance" "Well good fuckin' bye Kid." Then Aubre's voice cut in--and asked simply: "Are you sure you don't want to have something to eat?" Once again, out of politeness; however her positioning made it impossible to see the terrified set of her eyes.
---
Chivalri, stuck her head deeper into the bush, and let out a little chuckle: "I have seen much worse." That she had. Surprisingly enough, the worse offender was not Achilles, but was instead the uncommon sight of Eden. That serpent practically spat out more food speaking then he ate. "it would be no problem at al--" Seiko's goodbye was caught by her keen ears, and the little avian shrugged. "But it would appear unneeded. " Scooting away from the bush, the Swellow bowed--and allowed him room to extricate himself from the bush, and go away with his trainer.

As his chest was grabbed, he just remained calm, and watched him. While he could have easily gotten a verbal retort in, now he was drawing far too close to the line for his liking. The dragon seemed to be priming up for something, but once dirt got on him, he seemed to be disgusted, and pushed him away, gently. He just stepped back, as smoothly as he could, and smiled. Still keeping from saying anything, he held it back, holding even back the giant smirk that threatened to split his face, leaving only a tiny one. He'd definitely gotten in his head. Well, at least in the mental side of the fight, he'd won, and easily. Of course, he didn't seem the most mentally prepared. Or caring, for that matter.
" Oh, it has everything to do! I picked the most secluded place I could find, just so happened you figured out it was here too!" It was true. It was surrounded by a heavy swamp, that took quite a bit of work to get though, and wasn't that close to the city to begin with. It seemed like the kind of place that people wouldn't mess with, simply because it was marshy, and the land in the middle wasn't big enough to warrant doing anything with. So, he'd picked it. Just turned out that it was a common idea, or at least, he hadn't been the first to think of it. Achillies next comment only fueled the fire of rage. He was threatening his pokemon. After he'd done nothing! Still, he held it back, fist twitching slightly, not out of his disorder, but out of rage.
Still, Chivalri jumped in and silenced the brute, while apologizing for his life. He just gave a nod, acknowledging her comment, not trusting himself to open his mouth, lest a stream of poisoned wit spew forth at the Kangaroo. He just simply walked in, and after she had said your welcome, nodded. Well, at least some people around here weren't determined to make every moment of his life a walking rerun of that one moment. He had the feeling that they were just being concerned for Aubre, but that didn't extend to paranoia for all of them did it? Maybe paranoia rubbed off on you?
After finishing with his wash, he'd left, and then came to say goodbye, when he heard them all say good riddance, or at least two of them did. Well, he wouldn't be that sorry to leave this place either really. Not realizing he was a ticking time bomb, waiting to erupt. Right now he was thinking he would really tick off those two by sticking around just a little bit longer. Really stick it to them. He didn't know, however, just how much this would cost him in the end. Walking over, he bowed, and said "No, I am fine. Thank you for your generous hospitality." He got up, and turned, aiming to go out the door. He never got farther than one step.
As he took the step, all the tenseness in him seemed to vanish, and he slumped down to the ground immediately, more like falling down. As he hit, his muscles started to twitch, and flail, uncontrollably, while his neck did the same. He might have smashed his head against the ground too, if not for the swift action of his Combusken. Which was because this wasn't in any way shape or form a new thing. Sure, unexpected, but she'd had it happen in worse situations. Like during a battle. That hadn't been fun.
She'd acted quickly, doing two things. First he was propped up on his side, so he would thrash and not hit the ground. Second, she held his head from thrashing against the ground. Beyond that, she just waited, holding down his arms as best she could for the seizure. It was upwards of a minute long. Still, all things must end, and this did in fact end. His flailing movements seemed to slow, then stop, as she laid him on his back, his eyes wide but unmoving, as he was seemingly unconcious. Alexandria closed them, then laid him down, turning to face the group and saying "Ahem. Seiko has had a seizure, and probably won't come around for a while. Do you mind if I leave him here? Its not safe to move him." It could trigger another one. Rare, but not a good thing.
Anthony sighed, and said "Aww. Well, I guess I'll have to go." He heard him say goodbye, heartfelt like, and then heard scuffiling sounds. Oh dear. Anthony winced, as he couldn't run in, that would be bad, but Seiko might need help! "Oh crap! He's seizing!" Anthony said hearing now the unmistakable sounds of one. Hard to not hear when a person was randomly thrashing into whatever was nearby.

The dragon shook his head, muscles bunching in his broad heavy back--as his talons tightened into clenched fists. The scales directly beneath his ivory claws blazed a sandy white--as beads of blood slid through the wide tunnel of intertwined appendages, and dripped slowly into the mud below. In a very slow, calm manner, Achilles finally ground out: "Sadly---look smart-ass , just do us a big favor, and when you leave--Never say anything about this place . . ." The quiet threat of 'or else.', hung in the air between the boy and the kangaroo-dragon; as Achilles turned flashing eyes toward Seiko.
Somewhere under all that violent exterior, was something deathly afraid of his home being taken away . .or someone hurt. This was not visible in his gaze at the sickly boy---that gaze was rage-filled, and fueled by a desire to protect.
This intruder was not the first . .but . .he was the only one to get a smart alecky mouth. Maybe Aubre and birdbrain were rubbing off on him, but this guy was obviously going to be trouble.
The dragon's fists relaxed, as a bitter laugh escaped--why the hell was he scared of Puddle duck? "Be carful you don't fall in the toilet duck----I'll hold ya head down." The first part was joking, the second part was hesitantly added . . he could not look like a humorous fellow to this stranger--otherwise he'd walk all over Aubre.
Judging by the way he barged into the bathroom, the fake cruelty hadn't worked. Then again--breaking Aubre of her servant attitude was like keeping fish . . any but Laan . . out of water.
--------
As the boy bowed to Aubre, the girl bowed back--her lengthy bangs, falling over her eyes like a curtain. "Y-you . .are welcome." The girl stated simply, as her hands retreated to a folded position in her lap. The girl's feet slowly waved back and forth like a pouting child's, as she watched Seiko turn to leave--his bowler shadowing his face. " . .sor-r-y . .about Achilles . ." Aubre whispered to his retreating back, just loud enough for the Persian beside her to hear. To most anyone else however, these words were inaudible--and meant to be so.
The Persian merely picked up his oval shaped head, nodded at Seiko, before dropping his curled body into his trainer's lap, and closing his eyes.
Then a loud thump erupted--as the boy collapsed into a convulsing heap on the floor. With a frightened yelp , Aubre rocketed to her feet, dumping the chubby Persian onto the floor. The storm of flying limbs held her eyes --and refused to let go. More then once the girl tried to rush forward and help. Each time however, a writhing appendage darted into her comfort zone, and forced her back.
As the combusken simply stated the situation--after heroically catching her trainer--Aubre's mouth merely hung open.
This was nothing like she was used to . . what to do!? What should she do?! When all else fails, allow your body to do stupid things on its on, or in this instance your gentle soul: "Okay..." The fish-imitation over, the girl gingerly picked her way around Seiko--and very gently prodded his side with her foot.
Was he faking it, so that when she tried to help he could take her hostage? A quick flash of memories, and the girl resolutely shook her head. The girl's knees bent forward, as she attempted to kneel next to the boy--just as her knees brushed the dusty, rough floor--a scaled, taloned hand wrapped about her shoulder, and gently shoved her away.
"So Chicky..we can't move him...or you can't?--He's blocking the door." Achilles grumbled, lleaning over; and peering critically at the Combusken. "bah!--Mouse go grab a pillowl his head is touching our floor!" Achilles grumbled to the girl sitting shocked beside him.
With a quick nod of her head, the girl strode toward the old broken stairs, and quickly climbed them.
In the corner of the room--Laan smirked, his beak like mouth stretching slowly. Big bad Achilles was such a softy. ---
"I hope you all find somewhere to st--" The Swellow began with a smile, which quickly faltered as a clamor arose from the barn. "Damn Achilles--he must have done something!" The Swellow murmured, before Anthony's evaluation made her pause; maybe that was not Achilles destroying things, the sounds were of struggles, and thrashing, not breaking. "I see---I will go see if I can help..any suggestions?" The bird knew a seizure was something in which the body shook .. however she had no idea what they did, or how to treat them.
Maybe Anthony knew?

Seiko ignored him. Why should he pay attention to the giant dinosaur, when he honestly wouldn't tell anyone anything to begin with! First off, why would he tell anyone about this place? It was as good as the rumors said, he didn't want to bring more people over to this pretty area. It would ruin it, and he liked being alone as much as the dragon seemed to be paranoid about it. A short walk to the bathroom, and he turned back his head, remarking to his comment about holding his head down, as it was just too open, with "So now you'll be watching me in the bathroom? That's really weird!" Snickering to himself, slightly less mad simply because of that comment, he locked himself in, lest the dragon get any smart ideas to come chasing after him.
The short bow to Aubre, and her saying thanks, was appreciate by Seiko, even though he didn't hear the next comment she had made. It would have made him grin to hear her say it, even if that would have been quickly wiped off by the seizure. It always gave a shuddering feeling to him, falling into a seizure. It traveled down from his feet, to his head, or it seemed to, and by the time it hit his head, he was gone. It happened in a split second, normally he couldn't tell, but a few times, he could, and it was the weirdest feeling in the world.
Alexandria had restrained him well enough, but suffered a few heavy hits herself, which had hurt. He was getting stronger, and it was getting harder to hold him in place. You never knew what appendage might sneak out to do something, and it never did end well, which was why when it was over, she sighed, and missed the fact that Aubre had poked him in the side, something that would have brought about her ire faster than water would have sent Laan running for the hills, or however he got around without water.
"We can't. Unless you want to risk major brain damage due to another seizure, or suffocating him with his own tongue." The later fate could be avoided with proper head tilting, and waiting for him to regain some form of consciousness, but you always had to be careful, as if he started to choke, no one would notice until he turned blue, a bad bad sign. She didn't remark, but they couldn't actually use the pillow, they had to keep his head back as to keep his airway clear. Still, it gave Aubre something to do, which was advisable, considering she wasn't likely to be much help.
Anthony thought for a second, then realized that since the Swellow knew Aubre best, it would probably be best for her to comfort the girl. Seizures scared people, and he didn't want him to have to leave the barn and stay outside exposed. So, he said "Try and keep Aubre calm, if she's freaking out. Oh, and try and keep Alexandria company, she can get rather frayed during these times, and freak out over Seiko." She'd once nearly punched a man's face in for insinuating he was faking it, and kicking him. Anthony had been afraid she was going to rip his face off.
Seiko body did not respond, at all, during this time, as he was out, unconscious. Sleep wasn't describing it, as you can wake a sleeping person. There was no way to rouse Seiko, save to wait out the time. During this time, he was extremely vulnerable, as he couldn't do anything to defend himself, and had no way to even communicate. Luckily, this time it seemed to be rather quick, and within ten minutes, he had came back around, looking around and saying "Whu...whut?" Before realizing he was staring at the barn room. Oh crap. "Oh. I had a seizure didn't I? Crap." This wasn't going to go well with things.

As the door slammed, and locked, Achilles lifted his broad shoulders in a shrug. Turning away from Seiko (and his likely quivering body), the dragon smirked. A whispering chuckle, emitted from his maw as he replied to Seiko's barb: "I don't need to see you falling in . .I can hear." besides, that door had to be at least half a century old--and therefore easy to obliterate. However, the kid seemed to have learned his lesson.
Achilles would never admit that he had likely lost that contest. When it truly came down to violence, and cruelty--he obviously could turn sickly boy into a quivering pile of fear. So--no harm done, if the bboy had gotten in a few more snide remarks.
Unfortunately no splashes resonated from behind the bathroom door, so Achilles was forced to boredom as the boy bustled about and dressed himself.
---
Out of the chaos in the lower level--Aubre's footsteps slowed to a leisurely pace. The girl's lungs slowly inhaled, trying to quell the quivering deep within her limbs. Using the shadows as cover, the rather short girl, poked her head over the banister--quickly checking on the situation before ducking into her bedroom. The girl however, in a manner very contrary to the norm, did not immediately dash to obey Achilles' orders. Instead, she lowered herself to a sitting position on the edge of her bed. The quiet creak of springs likely projecting a image, of grabbing a pillow to those below.
For the span of about ten minutes, the girl merely stared at the wall ahead--her legs occasionally swinging back against the bed frame. A few metallic thumps likely reached the eyes pf those below--but Aubre's Pokemon for the most part ignored them. The girl's fingers began pulling at the clinging fabric of her blue hoody, trying to make its embrace less tight--and more baggy. In reality it was a way to stall herself from going back downstairs. Something about thee way Seiko had fell . .and struggled reminded her of something . .something bad.
It would be better not to remember it.
--
Dropping her busy hands into her lap, the girl's palms curled into tight little fists. The sounds of Seiko's revival were easy to hear through the uneven floorboards--and brushing her hair away from her face, the girl turned back toward the staircase. No pillow in hand.
Hopefully, Achilles wouldn't notice.
--
At Anthony's suggestion, Chivalri nodded. With a single large hop--the bird emerged from the bush. With a loud 'snap', her wings unfurled --and with a push of her legs and a down thrust of her arrow shaped wings--the bird glided toward the large barn door. The warm air buoyed her upward--as she tilted sideways, and skillfully entered the dilapidated building.
---
As Alexandria answered his question, Achilles shifted position slightly, one of his fore-paws splayed beside him for support. The stiff, sparking tail slowly relaxed, and dropped back to the floor. "So . .you can't move him, or risk death--so the best option is just to leave him here until he wakes up, that's what ya fuckin' telling me?" Frankly, letting him lay here, on a dust laden floor--with no comforts seemed like a bad idea.
Then again--at least he had nothing around to smack himself into. The dragon merely sat there and watched as minute blended into minute--and the quiet creaking of the old bed springs went ignored. The dragon was trying to figure out how Alexandria's instructions made sense--and about to question the whole 'suffocate on your own tongue' thing. Before the question was properly formed, Chivalri glided in through the barn door--landing just beneath Seiko's armpit, and throwing up a cloud of dust.
The bird ignored the looming form of Achilles, in favor of hopping over Seiko's prone body, and slowly worming her way toward the Combusken. Gesturing a wing toward the boy's head--the helpful avian asked: "Do you need me to take a turn holding his head?" "With what birdbrain ?--your good intentions ..you don't have arms." The Swellow ignored Achilles’ comment, and turned to stare at Alexandria, nodding in encouragement. ---
When Seiko began to stir, Achilles' nostrils flared--and with a roll of his bright eyes, the dragon wormed his way toward the staircase. As soon as Aubre's head popped around the corner, he harshly asked: "What happened get lost on your way to the bedroom--or ya found ya little cubbyhole preferable?" The girl merely paused, quickly nodded--and then turned toward Seiko. "Feeling better . .?" judging by his words . .well . .probably not. --
"Oh crap. Is right--almost squished that little chicken of yours." Achilles muttered--taking a step up the staircase, gripping his trainer's arm, and roughly pulling her to the bottom stair.
Gone, was the concerned, well slightly concerned, Achilles of moments before--now he was once again, the bad ass guardian.
--
No one in the barn protested at the lie--Aubre being too scared, and Chivalri unsure of the truth of the statement to do so.
The rest of the pokemon were either too frightened of Achilles to draw his lashing tongue--or like Laan, could care less.

Seiko rolled his eyes at the dragon’s last comment, and shrugged. Well, let him be a stupid moron. He seemed to be rather good at that in all honesty. Besides, he wasn’t about to do anything that would let him even comment. Of course, that wasn’t too likely, but he could try couldn’t he? He was soon done with his very brief shower, and left, dressed again, after having dried himself with a towel he was carrying. Then came the events, including his seizure, but of course, he didn’t know what happened after that.
Alexandria held him in place, and wondered absently where Aubre had gone. Surely she hadn’t ditched them had she? That shadow of a doubt soon coalesced when the time passed, and she sighed. Aubre should have been back by now, obviously she was trying avoid things. Well, it wasn’t that uncommon, and she was definitely more timid than most, but she’d sort of hoped she wouldn’t have been as bad. It would have made Seiko’s life easier when he woke up, but alas, it was not to be. She just waited, hoping he would wake up soon.
Anthony looked at Chivalri as she left, and smiled. Well, she would take care of things. Right? He sat there, watching her for a moment, then realized something. What was he going to do now? He was kind of stuck, and while he could technically, he didn’t want to risk it or something. Aubre would have probably forgotten about him, and as such, he didn’t want to risk showing himself. Bad idea, that was for sure.
Alexandria looked up at him, and nodded, saying “Yep. That’s exactly what I’m saying.” She said, not paying him any mind. He wasn’t quite what she’d call an expert on this kind of thing, and most definitely had not dealt with it before. For now, she was content just letting him lay there, she didn’t want to risk anything. At least he wasn’t outside, where she couldn’t protect him nearly as well.
She smiled at Chivalri as she arrived, and as she wormed her way over to his head, holding it down, somewhat, she replied “I’m fine here. He should come round pretty soon.” She said, not sure if he would, but it seemed sufficiently long enough. She ignored Achilles once again, simply because if he wanted to make rude comments, obviously he would make them no matter what. “Only thing I’ll need help with is later, after he’s came to.”
Seiko groaned slightly as he stared up at the sky, or more accurately, the roof of the barn. He heard a voice saying if he was feeling better, and he said “Well, better than unconscious… I guess.” He’d never honestly felt unconscious. Which sometimes was nice, of course, but only when he didn’t have to wake up in more intense pain than normal.
“How long was I out?” He asked in the general direction of upwards, and waited for the reply, which soon came from Alexandria.
“About ten minutes, give or take a few.” She replied quickly, nodding slightly. That was about normal, most either were five minutes, or at most, an hour. That hadn’t been fun. Not at all.
“Ah.” Was all Seiko said, sighing slightly. Now came the hard part. Explaining the fact that he was mostly immobile, save for superficial movements. “Okay, I’m sorry for having a seizure like that. But…Umm…I have a problem obviously, and its rather annoying, but for about a day…I can’t…move. Well, beyond small motor skills. Like talking and twitching my fingers.” He did this now for emphasis, his fingers twitching in a jerky fashion. “Yeah. Its rather, annoying.” He hated admitting this. It wasn’t right that he couldn’t move. Well, he could, but nothing major, like his legs. This was kind of bad, since that incapacitated him.
Alexandria just nodded with him. Of course, she could carry him, but that would be a pain, and besides, she kind of hoped, even if it was a vain one, that he might be able to stay here. It would make her job easier, as she wouldn’t have to worry about watching over him all night, but they weren’t the most hospitable people she’d met.

At Alexandria's straightforward, obviously half-assed answer, Achilles mumbled something similar to: "Well isn't that nice . ." Before returning his attention to Seiko's corpse like presence.
---------- The bird listened as Alexandria, politely declined her offer to help--deep inside the knightly bird felt a piece of her armor dent. What kind of good guy was she if she couldn't be of any use in a situation like this. In a somewhat hollowed voice, Chivalri managed to render a half decent reply: " I do hope he comes along soon Lady Alexandria. Sir Seiko cannot be too comfortable on the floor." This whole idea of passively solving a situation grated heavily against Chivalri's nature of passion, and forward good deeds. However, if doing more then holding him would harm Seiko . .she would deal with it.
As the Combusken continued, Chivalri's shadowed face lightened--as the feeling of uselessness fled from her feathery body. In her normal, gentle tone, Chivalri questioned: "What exactly would this assistance entail?" At this much too chipper question, the dragon at her side snorted--rolling his eyes as he did so.
The eager bird did not seem to notice Achilles cynical behavior--and instead her bright eyes remained fixed on Alexandria' s beak--awaiting further words.
When Seiko began to stir however, the dutiful bird offered a clipped greeting, before turning to her waiting trainer on the stairs. The bird merely nodded, before turning back to her newest charge --the boy prone on the floor.
---
Aubre winced, what a silly--horrendous, rude question that had been. Hopefully, Seiko would not think her a nuisance, or a cynical bitch for asking. The girl knew very well what it was like to be asked questions like that ('Are you okay?', 'Feeling better?') until they buzzed around your head like so many flies. It was either openly lie to the concerned, or reply with a truthful comment. The second option, often being seen as cynical, or bitter.). To force someone to answer a question, when they were obvious , in no way alright . . .was wrong.
Underneath her hood--the girl's lips twisted, as her teeth chomped down on the bottom one--dry skin flaking into her mouth. Standing in a shadowed portion of the barn, it was hard to see her expression, but it was currently--extremely, ashamed. When Seiko answered however, the girl simply nodded, before dissolving into the woodwork. Every word in the room eventually filtered to her ears, and she listened with rapt attention. As Seiko admitted his new issue, the fearful girl felt her fear spike--before petering out.
One couldn't fake these symptoms . .right?
--
If it was her lying on the floor . . what would she want . .? The girl's breath exhaled in a shaky sigh--as one arm snaked about her waist, seeming to support her as she managed to squeak: "Achilles. . " The dragon paused--only now realizing that his rough towing had no real destination, and he muttered: "What Mouse?" The pair was now standing a few feet behind the fur covered couch--Achilles right arm tightly gripping Aubre's free hand--is face pointed toward the door. Sunlight glinted off the planes of his fangs, and the hollows of his face as he slowly turned to his trainer, annoyance now obvious on his face. Just like her to ask what I am doing now bah . . normally I could drag her to Timbakt-- "Can you carry Seiko upstairs . . .please?" These words were obviously a form of begging, and said in a hesitant--somewhat frightened tone. The words were not impolite, cruel, sadistic, or assertive--but that did not stop Achilles from reacting the way he did.
The large dragon's jowls dropped --as his claws opened, and Aubre's hand limply fell back to her side. Both of his eyes remained riveted on her jaws, as if a alien was about to rip it's way out. In all truth, before Aubre had spoken up--he had been planning on dragging Duck upstairs . .with some excuse about tossing his dumbass out a window.
This was Aubre . . asking him to help what she saw as a potential danger was as likely as the lion cuddling with the lamb. It could not possibly be happening. In a rather comical, questioning tone--the normally aggressive dragon murmured: "Whut Aub?" Maybe he had misheard her. . and she had asked the boy IF he wished to be taken upstairs.
" . .Take Mr. Seiko upstairs please . . ." The girl murmured, now beginning to regret having spoken in the first place.
--
So shocked as Achilles, that he actually began to walk towards Seiko, and knelt down beside him.
--
Chivalri and the rest of Aubre's Pokemon turned to start at Aubre--most seeming to look for a third head. Aubre asking Achilles to do something . . . it was a perversal of nature. Like flying fish--or meowing canines.
(We need to figure out what to do about Anthony..and this was horrid. It is three AM though .. . which might be a bit of a excuse. If you need anything changed, asked.)

Alexandria almost felt bad as she declined her offer of help, as she seemed to be rather sad to not be of any use. Still, Achilles did have a point when he said that she didn’t have any arms. As she said that she hoped he came around soon, she nodded, she didn’t like him passed out on the floor, he could be in danger and they would have no way of knowing. It was just not to her liking to have anyone helpless. Even If when he was awake he could be a pain, insisting on not getting help. So foolish, male pride was.
Still, Chivarli perked right back up, and Alexandria laughed, saying “I’m not exactly sure you’ll want to help me. I have to watch Seiko while he sleeps, and wake him if he stops breathing or anything fishy, so I was wondering if you’d stay up. It gets rather boring staying up all night watching someone.” Besides, she might notice something she missed, and they might even be able to switch on and off sleeping. Sure, it would be tedious, but someone had to do it, and she wouldn’t mind having some company. Of course, if she refused, that was fine too.
Seiko smiled at Chivalri as he looked up, seeing her nearby. He really couldn’t look anywhere but up, once again not able to move much of his external frame, but at least someone here was friendly. Aubre seemed to not say anything after her comment, and he wasn’t sure if she was still there even, at least until she asked Achillies to carry him upstairs. He was surprised at this, but due to his condition at the moment, he couldn’t really watch what was going on, though Alexandria could.
For her, it was amazing just how strong the reaction was. To her, it was something you did, if your trainer asked you to do something, you did it. Apparently, that was not the case for these guys. From their faces, seeing such a thing happen was like seeing Seiko start tap dancing during a seizure. At that mental image, she almost laughed, but contained herself. As Achillies walked over to Seiko, she was reluctant to let him carry him, what if he got wise and tried something, but what choice did she have? Carrying up the stairs would be hard. Really hard.
Seiko felt Achillies next to him, and deciding not to antagonize the creature while he was completely immobile, said “Thank you.” Still, he was hesitant to say anything. He might take it as poking fun, and he didn’t want to do that, considering the fact the claws were also electrically charged. Would not be a fun trip for him if he was busy being shocked the entire way. Heck, he might get shocked anyway, no need to increase those odds.
Alexandria nodded, saying “Yes, thank you.”
Seiko looked over at Alexandria, and said “Sorry about this. I know you don’t like staying out of the city, but hey. At least were here right?” Alexandria just smiled, and said “Don’t worry about it.” Of course, she didn’t like him being away from advanced medical treatment, but if being in the city was too hard for him, she’d take it. It was her duty as his caretaker, and friend.
Seiko, not being able to directly address Aubre, as he couldn’t turn his head that much, at least tried to, moving his head to the left and said “Thank you. I appreciate this.” Once again, she didn’t have to keep him here, it was her choice, he might as well let her know how much he appreciated not being tossed out like the morning trash. It was more than some people would do for him. He knew that from experience.

The Swellow let out a few confused chuckles--before gently patting the rather uncertain Combusken on her shoulder, and stating: " Why of course I will help Lady Alexandria--no need to lose all your sleep when others are willing to help." Chivalri sagely nodded her head--and gestured around the room with a large sweep of her banded wings. "Lots of people would be willing to do something like that." "Not fuckin' me--I need my sleep." "WE ARE GONNA DIE--I DUN' WANNA BE EATEN!" The bird then found herself looking at downcast eyes, and wicked smirks--it appeared no one else was willing to help. " I will help ya Chiva!" A chipper sing-song voice perked up, as the Butterfree slumped across the couch--turned toward Seiko and company with a pincer-formed grin. The many faceted eyes of the Butterfree crinkled with wrinkles, as he smiled. "See--now we have three people to split it up between. It no longer seems to be a chore." As Seiko allowed his face to slip into a smile, the Swellow gently patted the hat-wearing bow on his shoulder.
In the corner--the long forgotten Hoppip began to bump against the rough gained ceiling--occasionally letting out a yelp of sheer nonsense. With each shrill word, the single leaf atop his head shook. " Aubre, I do believe Sir Spazz wishes for his nap . ." " I'll give that little fool a nap--just let him scream again." (Achilles muttered that) " BANANA FACE IS GOING TO EAT ME!" A brief line of red shot across the room, before the damaged little Hoppip disappeared into a small Pokeball at Aubre's waist.
--
Achilles turned toward Aubre with one more searching glance, before kneeling down near Seiko. Muscles bunched in the dragon's back, as he slid his ivory-claws underneath Seiko's sickly body. With a deep-throated grunt, the dragon stood back up--his tail lashing behind him like a whip. Turning to glare at Alexandria, the Statodyle quickly shifted Duck's position in his arms. "Whatever--frankly, I would toss trouble makers like you to the curb." The Kangaroo-dragon muttered in reply to Alexandria's gratitude, covering his rampant shock with obvious bitterness. "Shush up Mouse--before I tape your jaws shut." With alarming quickness--and a swinging of Seiko's limp limbs--the dragon whirled toward his trainer, eyes narrowed to enraged slits.
Aubre's jaw hung halfway open, quiet echoes of: "Not a probl--" Dying, as Achilles sent her a withering glare.
--
The girl was forced to jump away, as Achilles steam rolled his way up the staircase--Chivalri gliding behind him, attempting to push a cushioning wingtip under Seiko. Aubre watched the scene with wide green eyes, as the bird harried him like a bee, obvious rage boiling under her dragon's scaly exterior. "Achilles--watch it . . you are going to hit his head on the stairwell." "Shut the fuck. Up. Before I turn you into fried chicken Chiva." With a gentle swing of his tail--he batted the annoying ass bird away, before jumping over the broken stair, Seiko's head bumping hard against his tense arms.
Here he was. Being forced to touch this nasty boy--and worst of all--lay him in his trainer's bed, and leave him there to be pampered over like some prince. Why did he get the bed? Where was Aubre going to sleep? Asshole probably didn't think of that.
Upon reaching the door frame--Achilles shouldered his way in, whacking his head on the low-lying ceiling, and throwing it back with a yowl. Seiko rolled off his arms as he raised them to gently rub his throbbing cranium.
Seiko's legs hit the floor with a thump--and with a rage-filled breath, Achilles picked the child back up, drug him the rest of the way to the bed- and roughly flung him onto it.
Blankets bunched, as Seiko's body hit the blankets--and Achilles leaned in close to the boy's paralyzed face, snorting--foam spewing from his mouth as he spoke. "You. Are. Lucky. Aubre. Is a pushover." With a final shake of his head, the dragon shoved his way out of the tiny room, and down the staircase--casting a furious glance at his shivering trainer huddling right outside the doorframe.
--
Aubre snuck her way into the room, the Swellow gliding to a stop right in front of her trainer's scuffed tennishoes. "Sleep well--call us if you need any--anything. I hope you feel better--and it is our pleasure to help." Why couldn't Achilles understand? Why did he always have to be angry at her?
Both of her hands slid into her pocket--as she backed out of the room. The door across the hall which served as Achilles room was shut tight--just like his motives.

Alexandria grinned slightly as the bird valiantly offered to help. Well, that made her job easier. It was important to pay attention to him, but hour after hour of watching someone sleep tends to grate on one’s nerves. With others, it got a lot easier. At least, he’d probably not have to stay here more than the night. It normally cleared up within 12 hours, though it could last up to 2 days. She hoped he wouldn’t, he not only hated that, he’d be seen as a mooch. That would be really what he hated, more than the stir crazy feeling he’d get. Which she had to admit, she’d hate too. That was not high up on her things to do list.
As Seiko listened to the chorus of no’s, and one insane rambling, he absently wondered who in the world was that. It warranted at least a question, so he asked “Who’s the crazy one in the background?” Apparently there were things more paranoid than Aubre, believe it or not. Of course, with this kind of atmosphere, maybe there was a reason everyone was paranoid. Seemed so charged, and not just because of the electric kangaroo over there. As the Swellow patted his shoulder, he turned, ever so slightly, trying to look at it. It really did suck to be almost completely immobile.
Alexandria nodded, and said “Thanks. I really do appreciate it. It’s a pain waiting all night for him to wake.” She could have potentially used Anthony, but since he was seemingly excluded from their happy bunch, she appreciated that she wouldn’t be alone in this long and boring task. Though then again, she felt kind of bad she’d had to drag them into this.
Seiko once again noticed the insane ravings, and wondered what had actually dishinged that Pokémon so badly. What could possibly do that much damage to one Pokémon? Especially since his own had been though plenty of bad things, and were pretty normal. Pretty, because in all honesty, how is anyone who’s in the service of a seizure prone master ever going to be normal? Though he had to admit, banana face was a good one. He’d have to remember that, should he meet again and not be completely at his mercy.
As Alexandria said thanks, and Achillies promptly acted like the kangaroo we all know and love. He seemed to be about to explode at the thought of doing one nice deed, and the temptation to rip into him was only refused by the fact his demeanor put him in serious danger of hitting his head. Luckily, he managed to avoid most damage, due in part to Chivalri’s effort, and due in part to a lucky few steps by Achilles. Nearly thought his eyes would be taken out by a pole for a second, before he swayed right on the step.
Still, he hit his head plenty enough on the kangaroo dragon, who had a body like a rock. He couldn’t even wince that well, as facial expressions were rather on the fritz at the moment, but it hurt. The worst part had to be though when he was dropped due to Achilles’ hitting his head. Rolling off as his hands went to his head, he watched the ground coming up with terror. His body was screaming to move, but his hands moved a total of two inches, not nearly enough to do anything but hit a little bit sooner than the rest of him. Which he landed like a sack of potatoes, Which hurt really badly.
Groaning in pain, he was picked up again, and deposited in his rightful resting spot, limbs luckily soon back to their numb nature, he looked on as the kangaroo electric attempted to intimdate him, and looked at him unflinchingly. Apparently he wasn’t too scared of him. A retort rose to mind, Seiko thinking I’m. Not. Lucky. You. Talk. Like. This. but he kept it in his head. He liked living, and he had a feeling that would put an adverse effect on it.
Aubre and Chivalri were soon up here, saying to call them if they needed anything, and as Alexandria hurried up the stairs, he smiled, and said “Thanks. Sorry to impose like this, I do feel bad. If you need anything sometime, let me know.” He had to do something to pay them back, since they didn’t have to accept him like this. He was grateful, even if he did hate imposing like this on people.
Alexandria just nodded, and said “We’ll be sure to let you know.”

At the rather. . rude . . question, Achilles let out a purring chuckle: "You talking about Aubre? Yourself? Or . .someone else?" A razor-edged wing gently buffeted Achilles' half open mouth with a 'smack' before returning to Chivalri's side. "Do not be so disrespectful to Aubre , Achilles, when she's doing something fine--but not when she is not in the room. That is underhanded villainy." The look on her face resembled that of a scolding mother, and was so humorous that Achilles barked out a cynical laugh. Then in a humor free voice quietly hissed: "Hit me again, and you'll be our Christmas dinner." Ignoring the threat, Chivalri leaned her torso into Seiko's range of vision, ap layful smile on her beak: "That is Sir Spazz, and he's not as crazy as he seems Sir Seiko; little fellow is just frantic is all." Heck. Half the time--his screams made sense. " . .but . .he didn't exactly come from a nice place." A shiver of rage raced down the young Swellow's spine, poor little fellow had drifted to them on the wind, untouchable, terrified, and worst of all tore into little bits.
At the reoccurring gratitude, Chivalri tilted her head to the Combusken, and shook her head. "Don't mention it . . .Lady Alexandria it is truly no trouble." She would be a noble-watchmen, and ward off the villains of night, and disease from Sir Seiko. It would in fact, be her pleasure.
--
Achilles stared down at Seiko, knowing that the bastard's little sarcastic mind was likely making fun of him. With the indignation, and bitter feelings already inside--he decided to leave it be for now. If anything happened to his trainer. . if she so much as got a stiff neck from sleeping on the couch--he'd stuff this lippy little bastard into a suitcase, and ship him straight to hell.
With a few deft hops, and a deep breath--the Swellow launched herself skyward, circling around the stale- air of the room, before landing on the bed knob a few inches above Seiko's head. Little muscles shifted, and leapt as the bird adjusted her talons to better hold the rather uncomfortable perch.
Aubre nodded as Seiko and Alexandria expressed the same thoughts. " I will . . .and don't worry about imposing . .some of us don't really mind. " The girl murmured, as she shifted uncomfortably in the shadows of the door. Her thin fingers began peeling the skintight fabric of her newest wardrobe addition away from her skin, a nervous habit.
Frankly. . she was one of those that did mind. Not, that she would tell Seiko that; poor kid already felt like shit, no reason to make him angry at her by saying something so cruel. "..Err...sleep well . . .I could bring up a TV if you want. Let me go get it." The Tv stand was covered in a fine layer of wood chips, and dust--the girl had moved it into the laundry room a few days ago. It would be rather easy to bring it up.
. . Aubre was not quite sure if she was allowed to leave, sure she knew dinner etiquette--but what etiquette did you use when you had a sick person in your house?
---
With obvious hesitance she backed farther out of the room, disappearing from sight behind the doorframe? Was he going to call her back? Oh god no.
--
Deep in his dusty, dimly lit room, Achilles stirred, both of his orange eyes closing--wrinkles crinkled as the dragon attempted to ward off his jealous thoughts. A cracked in the roof, allowed beams of light to scatter about the room, lighting up the little grey specks of dust that settled on Achilles scales.
Frankly, he was pissed--but not at Aubre. . but at . . .not Seiko either. . who the hell was it?
Raising one muscular arm, he slammed his claws into the rotten ceiling times, sending wood drifting onto the others congregated below. "Damnit all." Across the hall, Aubre paused at the doorway--before continuing toward the staircase.
---
With Aubre, hopefully, out of earshot, Chivalri turned to Alexandria: "What should we do about Anthony . .we cannot leave him out there by himself . .all night," It was chilly, no need to chill the poor fellow to death, when a solution could be reached.
--
From deep within the laundry room, the ancient washer let out a growl--before seeming to collapse inward, foam flowing out from new gaps in the welding. Seconds later there was a loud 'POP' followed by a "BARASH!" as a bolt rocketed out of the lid to the washer--and smashed into the termite ridden walls of the barn. A loud clatter followed as the little metal piece fell back to the ground, amid a pile of woodshavings.
A few terrified screams rose from the barn.
Ah--damn faulty appliances.

Seiko rolled his eyes at the dragon, or tried too, it wasn’t the easiest of things right now, and said “Oh, yeah, Aubre, definitely not the shrieking siren coming from the kitchen.” That was rather silly of him. Insulting your trainer was generally not considered the smartest idea you could do, mainly because if they wanted to, you could get shoved in a box for a very long time. Still, he couldn’t help but laugh quietly when he heard the smack of her wing on his face. Oh, if only he could have seen that. He did hear the threatening tone in his voice however, and had to admit, he was pretty frightening, if you weren’t used to being scared all the time, unlike Seiko.
As Chivalri explained what the noise was, he nodded, with his eyes. Ah. That explained why he was so terrified, something had happened to him. What could have happened to him? It was a mystery to him, and probably to the rest of them, but it did make him wonder what kind of person, or thing could do that to a thing? Of course, not everyone was as lucky as his Pokémon, to leave with only minor scarring. A miracle if he thought about that, since he thought for sure Anthony was not going to live long.
Seiko saw the circling bird, and Aubre saying that some of them didn’t mind. Seiko wanted to say to her that he knew she was the kind that did, but he held himself in check, since he was sure she wouldn’t appreciate being reminded that she was rather skittish around people. Surely enough people had given her grief about it before. No need for him to make it worse. “Well, if you don’t mind.” He said, knowing full well she just wanted to leave.
“ Its fine, you don’t have to tend to me. Alexandria should fit any needs I may have.” Seiko said, as she hovered. She wouldn’t even have to deal with him until tomorrow; he’d be fine up here. Watching TV quietly was something he was used to, since in hospitals it was basically the only thing you could do most of the time. Then the conversation turned to Anthony, and he smiled. Oh, that dog had to be having fun, laying out in the bush, wondering how next to steal the food. Hah. He could just imagine it.
Alexandria frowned, claw on her chin as she thought for a while. What indeed could they do? He’d probably burn down the house outside if he was left to his own devices, and that wasn’t something she wanted to have happen. “No, we should bring him in. Maybe later tonight, when Aubre’s asleep? He could stay under the bed, surely.”
” But how would we get him out?” Seiko asked, smiling slightly. That was the real problem.
Alexandria seemed to agree, once again putting on her serious thinking face. How were they to get him back out, once they got him in? Then a thought occurred to her, and she said “Wait, did anyone feed him?” She said, concerned. He was pretty crazy when he wasn’t fed, that being one of his stated rules, that he will do anything to get food when he’s hungry. She’d seen him in action too, she knew he wasn’t bluffing. Last thing she needed was him barging in and freaking out Aubre. Then she jumped sky high when a loud crash was heard, preceded by a popping sound.
Seiko too, would have jumped, was he able, and he said ” Whats going on?!?” He was understandably concerned that he was about to be caught in a barn collapsing. He closed his eyes, trying to fight off images of the last time. No, not again! He trembled, ever so slightly, eyes screwed shut.
Alexandria looked around, then when she realized nothing was happening, she tapped Seiko, who was still shaking slightly, and said “Don’t worry. Your not in any danger.”
Opening his eyes, he said “Really?” Seeing that things weren’t crumbling, he sighed in relief, before sighing in sadness. “I need to get over that. It’s a silly fear, to be afraid of buildings collapsing. Its not going to happen.” Still, anytime a building so much as shook, or made a loud noise, he was running for dear life. Stupid traumatizing past events, if not for them he’d be relatively normal!
Shaking her head, she said “Shhh, its fine. Just relax. Turning around, she asked “What was that?” This was addressed to no one in particular, not sure if Chilvarli was still there, or if she’d left to check on the noise.

As Seiko commented sarcastically, Achilles deemed it appropriate to answer. "I can't tell the difference sometimes." Achilles grumbled in high humor, batting the Swellow away with a claw, and smirking at Seiko. The boy may have thought insulting your trainer was foolish, but he did not have Aubre for his trainer. Since he was first picked up from the Professor, he had been insulting the girl--and had never once been reprimanded for it. Even if somewhere deep inside, he knew making fun of her was wrong--it was a hard habit to break.
Turning away from the prone boy, he glared once more at Chivalri--before the whole "carry him upstairs shit" hit the fan.
--
As Seiko gave her the go-ahead to leave, Aubre trotted down the stairs, slowing down to a crawl the instant her foot touched the bottom floor. The little TV lay quiet on a counter across the room, a simple matter to grab it, and run back upstairs. Yet, who said anything about running anywhere?
As their trainer reentered the Pokemon briefly glanced up at her--before turning back to the television. As the noise rattled the building, Aubre was the closest--and hit the floor like a sack of potatoes. Her hands laced over her head for protection, she lay on the floor gasping.
The other Pokemon lay in various states of disarray--the chubby Persian was wedged between the table, and couch--his tail waving in the air. The Caravay, had fallen from his perch atop a crate--and was now staring longingly at it . The Hoppip continued to bump against the ceiling, his words growing louder.
"Anyone wan-wanna . .go look?" Laan nodded--but held up his fins to illustrate that he truly couldn't, the Hoppip did not give a viable answer. The Persian on the other hand, raised himself onto the tabletop, and with gentle footsteps, drew even besides his trainer. "I'll go with you." With a nod, they both edged toward the laundry room--their eyes sweeping frantically back and forht, as the odd noises grew louder. Pushing open the door--Aubre's eyes widened. "Oh--shi . ." Bubbles covered the floor in a small layer--and the entire room stank of detergent. The bolt lay underneath a thick patch of froth, as did the next one that popped off with a loud "CRACK".
"Washers are just as evil as trees!": Arbori mumbled, before he and his trainer, rushed forward to turn the washer off.
Seconds later a bundle of feathers landed in the pile of soap atop the gurgling washer--her beak frantically trying to turn it off. "Help if you please." Aubre's hand wrapped around the knob, and quickly turned . a horrible whine came from deep inside the ancient machine, but it didn't turn off. "unplu-g- i--wait no!" With all the water on the floor..they'd probably all be barbequed.
--
Before the Swellow had rushed downstairs, she had managed to have half a conversation with Seiko. "I can fly Sir Anthony in . .whoever is on watch just have to get him out before Aubre wakes up though. . or wake me up so I ccan do it." Frankly the idea of flying a creature half-her size around was not pleasant, but it was required to keep the poor creature from spending the night outside. Ruffling her wings the Swellow answered the Combusken's question: "Right before I came back in..i dropped him off a bowl of stew--so yes, Sir Anthony has received nourishment." See, sometimes being her was helpful! Not a nuisance like Achilles claimed.
At the initial noise--the bird threw her wings up to shield herself. Then with a nervous chuckle, she muttered a quick: "Excuse me--maybe Alexandria should come along!" before gliding out into the hallway. The second she entered the main room, odd noises began to echo in her ears--and AUBRE WAS GONE!
