The day so far seemed to be running ok, though, some clouds had moved in over head to block some rays from the bright sun in the bluish-gray sky. The morning dew had left, but left the vegetation surrounding moist and lush, the wind keeping a gentle breeze intact to go along with the flow of shallow movement. The grass gave a gentle wave to the shuddering tree branches, allowing many leaves to dance about in the flutter of the breeze.
A shadow seemed to jolt across the clearing, it's tiny master quickly springing into the brush. Another blur, this time caught in the color of white was seen again as it scurried out of the bushes and onto one of the tree branches that laid out on the path off to the side of this mountain trail that seemed to go on forever to a small Pokemon like this.
"Now.. Where to find a nice snack around here hmn..." A small voice murmured, though seemingly untraceable. Blue eyes flashed from the shadows as to detect some sort of bright colors marking the place of a berry.
'I haven't been able to find good place away from wind and rain storms in weeks, maybe I'll have some luck with that in the Mountain Region.' His thoughts however, had been interrupted. Kiko's large ears twitched in reaction to the sound of the breeze forcing a pine cone to scratch slightly across dirt and rock. Looking around through quick glances, the little Cerebus couldn't help but catch sight of a berry just above. Laughing lightly to himself as he pounced up with both paws out for the swipe, he ended up hugging the berry for, both, him and it to fall. Instead of landing back on the branch though, he had taken a small tumble into the open path again. Grumbling slightly, before shaking it off and grabbing his berry, lunch was served. Not bothering to hide back inside the brush again, he perched himself there and nibbled on the berry.

Seiko was not very happy at this very moment, for several reasons. The first reason, and the least of them to boot, was the fact that his shoes and socks were wet. This irritated him to no end, as the slight slosh of his feet in socks and shoes was not something he enjoyed having happen to him. The second issue, and greater than the first, in his opinion, was that his medication was running low, which meant that he would have to start rationing to get back to a city, which meant he was far more likely to seizure soon, something he despised. To top it all off, the third, and most worrying thing, was that at this point, he could not find his Growlithe, Anthony, and was worried sick he wouldn't find him at all in this forest, and this worried him most of all.
Taking his damp shoes and sock, and continuing along with Alexandria and Jasmine in tow, he called out his Growlithe's name, several times loudly, hoping that he'd hear at least a bark, or something, to clue him into his errant Pokemon's position. No such luck had come upon him however, and he was starting to get frantic. "What if he's out of hearing range? Or what If he's been captured?!?" Were two of several thoughts running though his head, and as he trudged on, he just wished he'd figure out where in the world that pokemon was.
Alexandria as well was worried, but not so much for the Growlithe they were searching for as for Seiko. The young man was getting older every day, yet showed no signs of making many friends, or even living his life. In fact, the most recent encounter was with Skie, who had seemed nice, but was probably already taken. He needed a lady friend, someone to pull him out of his comfort zone, and actually do something with him. He needed something like that. But who in the world did she know who would work? This question was the one she was busy pondering as she absently called out Anthony's name, trying to puzzle out who Seiko should date.
Jasmine, his Kitcia, was on his shoulder, and showed no signs of actually trying to help the search, just taking a ride on his shoulder and purring contentedly in his ear. She liked this trip so far, and it was only getting better. She got to enjoy the outdoors, she got to ride on his shoulder, and best yet, she was complicit in the stunt to worry Seiko! Yes, she knew where Anthony was, which was actually along the path ahead of them. She couldn't wait to see the unholy rage on Seiko's face when he found him smiling stupidly on the side of the road. Oh, what fun.
Anthony as well was thinking what fun, as he raced along the path, trying to stay ahead of Seiko. His voice was faint in the background, but he wanted to put a little more distance between them, so that Seiko would work himself up into a proper worry. Besides, Seiko needed the work out, to stay fit and strong.
Thats when he realized he wasn't alone. Something white was up ahead, and looking at it, he realized it was a Pokemon he hadn't ever seen before. Curiosity immediately made him stop, and approach the white Pokemon eating a berry, as he hadn't seen one of his kind before. Could he have just discovered a new species? Grinning to himself at the prospect of becoming a hero to researchers everywhere, he strolled over, saying "Hello! Who are you?" Unfriendliness was not part of Anthony's personality, and it showed.

The light coloring of this blue berry set off a parade of sweet taste. Though, the after taste seemed rather bitter and sour. His ears twitched again, but paying no mind to the sounds around him as he waved it off as another pine cone. Though with his eyes shut tight and his smile curved into a grin from ear to ear, signs of the taste being more pleasant than any other before. But being as small as he was, it was taking a bit longer to devour this apple sized berry than he expected. His tail fluffed a bit into a slow, gentle sway, before having the sun light burst into his face. Making him give a small hiss before the rays cleared again, and he rubbed his eyes with his right paw. But his ears twitched again to a greeting. "Hello? Who are you?"
Turning on the spot in a bit of a slow speed, his ears fell as a large orange and white blob stood staring down at him. Blinking his bright, crystal blue eyes several times before the blurred spot started to form into a Growlithe. Looking around him with an O shaped mouth for his curious expression. Nothing else was seen but the dirt and rock path inbetween the grass and shrubs lining the trees overhead. Turning back to face this stranger, his ears lifted back up again into their crooked and usual poisitions.
"Chi, Kiko." He replied with odd curiosity repling in his tone. "Would you like some?" Hoisting his arms up with full grasp on the blue luxious berry, the smell lingered in the air of something sweet yet juicy. Still holding the berry up over his head to the Growlithe, his childish smile returned into full view. "And you are?"

Anthony eyed the Pokemon with intense curiosity as it seemed to stop eating the berry, then after blinking a few times, say his name, offering part of it and asking his own. Kiko. That was an interesting but nice name. Never hurt to know a wild pokemon's name either, since he seemed to be friendly enough. Shaking his head at the offer of a berry, he said "Nah. I'm good, just ate." He would have taken the berry otherwise, but he wasn't feeling hungry, and figured the other guy probably wanted it more. Or girl, as the case may be, he didn't know. "As for me, I'm Anthony! Right now I'm hiding from my trainer, trying to see how worried I can make him! Its rather funny really!"
Said trainer was right now starting to get very worried indeed, at his Growlithe's absence. This worry was mainly driven off the fact that Anthony the Growlithe had a too big of mouth, and that he was not nearly strong enough to truly face down the Pokemon here. They had gone this way as a quick detour, not planning on fighting any pokemon if they could at all help it, and if need be, he was planning on using all four in the fight, to even the odds. Still, if Anthony was alone, who knew what sort of trouble he could get himself into? and without a trainer to help him, he could get seriously mauled, or worse! He winced as his all too vivid imagination made him think up ways he could be hurt, but pushed it back. No, best not to think of that.
Alexandria was herself still mulling over the lady problem Seiko had. The real problem of the matter was that while Seiko was polite, and looked pretty cute, he was too quiet and scared. He needed more confidence, but that didn't work with his seizures and twitching. Now the question was how was she going to fix that? It was a real problem with her, and she couldn't quite get how she was going to fix it. It wasn't like she could just magic up a solution to all his problems. Still, it was something to think about as they trekked along the path, and she was glad that at least she had something to do. Wasn't like she was too worried about Anthony right now. They still had some time until she got really worried about him. Besides, he was good enough to take care of himself. She wouldn't hold his hand all his life.
Jasmine herself was wondering just how far he had decided to make poor Seiko walk. he was a already getting worried enough, and she didn't want him to have an aneurism or something. Though she doubted you could get that from worrying. That was ulcers right? Still, either one didn't sound fun, and she didn't want him to get hurt. Then a smirk ran across her face. Worrying about seiko giving himself an ulcer from stress, that was funny. It was funny, because he was about as likely to get an ulcer as anyone else was. There were far more pressing concerns with him. Such as the fact that if he seizures out here, they were going to be in some serious trouble. Then again, they normally were.
Seiko kept walking in his soggy socks and shoes, and called out Anthony once more, hoping this endless trek would soon end. It wasn't like he wanted to keep wandering around the path, and he had a sneaking suspicion that something was going to go wrong if he was here much longer. Then again, he got the feeling wherever her was. So as he picked up the pace, moving to a fast walk, he sighed. Why couldn't things go right just once in his life? Then again, that would be just too easy.

His long ears twitched again, not exactly sure what noise was being made to be picked up by his hearing. Snapping back into reality as he watched the Growlithe look him over, he couldn't help but feel slightly nervous to this. With his ears dropping down a bit, firmly behind his head, Kiko took one last bite of the berry before picking it up and making a run for the brush on his back feet. Hurrying into the bushes, he set the blue berry down in case someone other than him came across it. He turned around to have a stick jab him just over his right eye that caused him to squawk. Rubbing the spot in annoyance before forgetting all about it, he ran back out with the same smile and ears perked up.
Hopping over playfully, before perching himself in front of Anthony again he couldn't help but tilt his head to the side. "It's fun? Wow, I wish I had someone to hang around with. Being a tiny Cerebus all alone really gets lonely and dangerous. Hey, should we go surprise your trainer?"
He couldn't help but twitch his ears again, looking up the road where the Growlithe had came. The sound was becoming more and more clear. It was someone walking. Maybe more, right now Kiko was to distracted to decide. Batting away at a feather, he leaped up to catch it and leaped passed him. Sadly instead, falling and taking a bad somersault down hill where he began rolling like a little fuzz ball. "WHOOOOOOA!" He yelped as he hit a rock and flew spinning in the air. Landing back on the ground roughly to keep rolling. Thankfully, he was stopped by landing back first into something. Rolling off what appeared to be a foot spinning around in quadrupole vision, he stumbled up and looked up with squinted eyes. Going back and forth from side to side, what he saw was now double vision. Falling back into sitting, he pulled up his front paws to rub at his eyes, before uncovering them and blinking a few times. It was a human. His ears fell flat behind his head. He didn't look to be from the kind that hunt Cerebus or Cerberus. The big eyes and ears flat behind his head as a lightly grabbed onto his tail in being worried about this gave him quite an irresistibly adorable appearance. His eyes laid on the hat, then moved down to his eyes. Slowly figuring toward the Pokemon with him. "Ch-Chi?" ["A-Anthony?"]

Anthony sighed slightly to himself as he saw the pokemon leave, seemingly a little paranoid about having its berry out in the open. He may have good reason too, Anthony realized with a jolt, because he heard just faintly, the sounds of Seiko in the distance. Or at least he thought he did. Maybe he was hallucinating. Yeah, he had to be hearing things, he couldn't be here so soon. He'd ran too far to have him approach this soon. Turning back to the pokemon as it appeared again, he grinned, and said "Glad your back!" He didn't want him to leave so soon, he seemed like interesting company.
Seiko sighed slightly as he kept walking, decidedly worried for the well being of his Growlithe at this point. He could be anywhere, and not only that, he was in a dangerous land. He wasn't sure what strength the native pokemon were, but up here in the mountains, they were likely rock types, and rock and fire didn't mix very well. The last thing he wanted to see was a limp Growlithe body, fainted or worse. The very thought unnerved him, and his pace quickened, looking for him, and increasing the volume of his callings.
Alexandria was brought out of her romantic musings by Seiko's increasing pace, and matched his speed, saying "Why are you worried about that mutt so much? Knowing him, he snuck off to scare you!" Anthony could be aggravating at times, and what was worse, he didn't seem to realize it took quite to toll on Seiko. Ever since they'd gotten wounded, the pair, he'd been frantic whenever they were out of his sight, though heaven help it if the Growlithe would notice something like that. Anthony was not one known for his considerate thinking on how other people would think of his stunts. Which led to bad things, as usual.
Jasmine herself was letting out a faint mrowl of laughter, quite pleased with how this was working. They were working him up into a good worry, and when he found him, Anthony would definitely get a good tongue lashing. That would teach him to mess with her, or at least, she'd feel better for getting him into that mess. He wouldn't even suspect she did it, which would make it all the better! She wouldn't get blamed for tricking Anthony, and he would still get punished. The perfect crime indeed.
Anthony nodded slightly and said "That makes sense. I know I wouldn't want to be out here without my trainer. Luckily, He's not too far, so I could just run back to him if anything happened." He nodded happily, glad that he didn't have to worry about being on his own. Then the little Pokemon started to roll backwards, quite an alarming amount so, and in concern, he started to chase after him. Running after the rolling pokemon, he realized, suddenly, that Seiko was right nearby. Oh crap. Indeed, the little ball of Pokemon soon rolled up and hit Seiko's shoe. This wasn't good.
Seiko saw the little ball of fluff roll up to his shoe, then hit it, Seiko surprised at the impact. Looking at him with no small amount of surprise, he stepped back, the rest of the gang, Jasmine and Alexandria stepping in front of him protectively, both ready to strike if something happened. Seiko wasn't exactly sure if this pokemon was threatening, and he had a feeling he was far from it, but that didn't mean he wanted to risk it. It wasn't like he didn't know pokemon that weren't extremely threatening but cute.
