Ahh, pizza. Everyone loves it, and Seiko, of course, was no exception. While he wasn't exactly fond of everything, pizza was one thing that had always been his favorite. What wasn't to love? Mozzarella cheese. Thick, flaky crust. Perfectly cooked so as not to burn, but to have a hard edge to it. The perfectly cooked pizza was a divine experience, once one had it, and after having one, you never went back to any others. Which was why Seiko was here, at this restaurant, ordering his favorite, and his Pokemon's favorite, half cheese, one quarter Hawaiian, and one fourth Canadian bacon. Cheese for him, Hawaiian for Alexandria, and Canadian bacon for Anthony.
Walking outside, as it was a rather pleasant day, Alexandria and Anthony picked out a table, while Seiko was busy considering what drink to get. It was serious business, getting the drink. You couldn't pick just any, otherwise you would ruin the flavors, and destroy what would otherwise be a great dining experience. Or at least, he liked to imagine that was what took him so long. In all honesty, it was trying to get himself to twitch, so he wouldn't have to worry about it. Which apparently wasn't forthcoming, so he decided to risk it. One had to take chances no?
So he did just that, filling up his pop, putting the lid on, and attempting to carry it back to his station. What would seem ordinary to some, could turn out to be completely ordinary, or the most eventful thing of the day for Seiko, considering his chance of twitching, and sending the contents of the soda out flying in who knows what direction. It had happened once, luckily the person hadn't minded all that much. Still, he could refrain from ever making that tragic error again.
Which he did, with aplomb. He made it all the way back to the table, and sat down, drink safely deposited on the table, as he sighed, looking at Alexandria on one of the chairs, and Anthony underneath it. Now it was just time to wait for the pizza to arrive. He had a number, so he wasn't worried about it not arriving. A few moments of lounging, and then he stood, grabbing his drink and sipping it, as he waited. As he heard his number, he grinned, and went to walk over, before a disaster befell him.
His hand, finally deciding to do its evil work, twitched, violently. This threw the pop out of his hand, and onto a table, in which the thing seemed to explode pop, spewing out over the unfortunate person and Seiko, who luckily got the brunt of the soda bomb. Still, the other person, a girl, it seemed, had gotten a good amount of it, and he winced, face as bright as it could be, as he said "Oh. I'm so sorry! I didn't mean to do that." Great. Now either she'd think him some jerk, or if he explained it, she'd think him some weakling. He just couldn't get a break with soda in this joint. It was like cursed.

((Sorry it took me so long x_x I meant to post it last night, but at like, seven my dad was like "let's go out to Starbucks :3" And I was like "..mmkay" xDD So here it is xDD And lol. Valentine likes his hat >3>))
“Skie. Skie. Skie. Skie. Skie.” The girl shifted in her seat, trying to hide her smile as she gazed about the restaurant, looking everywhere but the little purple Rattata that was trying so hard to get her attention. “Skie. Skie. Skie. Skie. Skie.” She apparently had a wicked sense of patience today. Skie was actually surprised the little purple fuzz, lovingly named Valentine, hadn’t just clambered up her arm and stuffed her nose under Skie’s neck. That was usually how she got someone’s attention, and not just Skie’s either. She would nuzzle up under Gregory or Kaine, or even a total stranger. This sort of attention-getting didn’t last very long. Even though she’d gone a good three minutes of only repeating her trainer’s name, Valentine was sure to crack and tackle Skie at any moment now. Two other small Pokemon occupied the table as well, sitting on the opposite side in the booth seat together. Ace, the Growlithe and Truffle the Poliwag. They were talking about this and that, from Brute’s antics this morning when he almost caught his bean bag on fire when he had rolled over in his sleep to the pizza that was on its way. Quarter meat-lovers for Ace, quarter veggie-lovers for Truffle, quarter extra pepperoni for Skie, and quarter plain cheese in case anyone decided they needed a break from toppings all together.
"Hey, Skie," Ace peered at her over the tabletop, "Skie, when's the pizza going to get here. I'm sort of starving over here." "I'm hungrier than him," Truffle spoke up. Skie laughed because the little Poliwag needed to jump up to see her over the table, only appearing for a little fraction of a second at a time as she hopped. "I am. I'm so hungry I could eat Brute!" Valentine clicked her tongue and looked at the water Pokemon from under the table. "You couldn't eat Brute," she said with all the seriousness a young Pokemon could muster. "Brute would eat you." She smiled and tapped her paw on the seat. "He said so himself." "He hasn't eaten me yet. He likes me too much."
"Brute is funny," Valentine added.
"And tall."
"And orange."
"And he's got really big teeth!"
Ace's ears were flattened to his head by that point. What was this, a moron-dragon praise-fest?
Skie leaned her elbows onto the table. "I dunno. Soon?"
"Wonderful answer," the Growlithe said slowly, rolling his eyes.
It was a regular day, though it'd taken them quite a bit of time to travel from the base all the way into the Pizza restaurant they loved so much. Rawk had been the one to take them, Valentine and Truffle tucked safe in her jeans pockets while she held Ace to her chest, clinging to the huge Aerodactyl at the same time as he soared over the open space between the Ranger Base and the Citadel. They didn't plan on spending the night or anything, and Rawk didn't mind flying them back at night anyway. Skie had really only brought enough money for the food, because they were all. Craving. This. Pizza.
Sad thing though. Aerodactyls were perhaps too big to come in. The fossil Pokemon was humongous. It'd be silly to even attempt it. He was in his own Pokeball, tucked in her jean pocket like Truffle and Valentine had been. But now the smaller Pokemon were all out, excited and happy. Skie was planning on bringing a box home anyway. Rawk could carry it in his teeth (she'd have to make him swear not to eat it, box and all) so she could still hold Ace. Brute and Engine would want some too, though the two of them didn't want to go on the trip.
Skie stretched her arms over her head, grinning. "Sorry, buddy. I dunno. Haven't been here in a while. But they usually take like, forever. Remember?"
"I wish I didn't like this pizza so much. Otherwise I'd never come here again."
"Aw. C'mon." The girl grinned again. "This is fun. And we're only here to pick up the pizza. We won't be staying too long. I wanna get back home before its too dark."
"What. So you can go see Kaine?" Ace's mouth quirked up in a knowing, teasing grin while Skie huffed and turned a little red. "So you can give him his 'pizza slice' right?"
"Omigod, Ace. I'm gonna just..." She laughed though, despite whatever sort of innuendo that was supposed to be. "Sure. Sure, think what you want."
"...My God."
"Shut up Ace!" she laughed again.
"Skie. Skie. Skie. Skie." Valentine started again, all of a sudden, pawing at the girl's side. "Skie. Skie it's important."
"Wha-"
And then something sort of unexpected happened. She yelped, feeling something cold splash across her front, freezing drops of something wet hitting her neck and a bit soaking through her black hoodie and chilling her. She'd jumped, and pressed her back against the back of the booth's seat, blinking back her surprise. She glanced up, seeing the perpetrator of the whole ordeal.
She heard him apologize; really, though, she'd never been the sort of girl to get angry over something like this. It was just....soda, right? Yeah. This was soda. It smelled like it, at least. All carbonated and frizzy.
"No, no, it's okay," she said, reaching for the pile of napkins at the center of the table. She was trying her best to speak over Truffle and Ace's laughter on the booth's other side. "It was an accident," she grinned, wiping the soda off her hands. Gah, she'd have to wash it off. Otherwise her hands would feel gross and sticky until she did. "Ah," her eyes darted over his own shirt. "You got it worse than me. Here," she held out a bundle of unused napkins for him.
"Skie. Skie. Skie." Man, she was still at it.
The girl glance down at her Rattata, heaving a sigh. "What is it?"
"It was about him," Valentine pointed a little paw up at the boy. "I wanted to tell you something about him?"
"..Uh? And?" Skie looked back up at him, her hand still outstretched.
"I wanted to say that I liked his hat."

Anthony smiled as he relaxed under the table, watching Seiko’s progress, and hoping for him to spill soda. Why was he hoping he’d spill soda? Because in the ensuing chaos, he could steal the pizza, and they would be none the wiser! Maybe he’d even pop over to the people he would inevitably spill the soda on, open the box, and then start eating, nonchalantly. Seiko wouldn’t even notice. At least, that was his mastardly plan. The chances that it would actually work though, were about zero. Turns out, he wasn’t the greatest at these things. But hey, a dog can dream right? But then, it happened. A twitch, and soda went everywhere, spraying the poor hapless girl, and himself, in root beer flavored beverage. Understandably, Alexandria was over in a flash. Now, to put operation overlord into action.
Alexandria had been watching Seiko the entire time, and when he spilled was over there in a second. One had to make sure he didn’t get pummeled into a pasty substance by some boyfriend eager to show his overly testosteroned nature. More meat than brain, in most cases sadly. Still, this time, it wasn’t actually a guy, but a girl! Not much of a relief, considering twitching made fighting a living nightmare, but at least it wouldn’t be some man with more steroids in him than an Olympic sprinter the week before drug testing. Next to him in a flash, she was taking care of him, cleaning up his wet t shirt, making sure his precious fedora was okay, and generally making the over worried mom act in Pokémon form.
Seiko was still redder than a beet as she said that it was okay. Simply an accident, even though if he hadn’t had this stupid disease, it would have never happened, much to his delight. Still, he decided not to enlighten her to the fact that as of right now, he still had a few twitches left in him, as he normally did it three to four times a day, that was his second. “Yeah. Still, I feel terrible.” Last thing he said before Alexandria swarmed him. Managing to push her away, barely, but not before she’d managed to at least clean up his face, he said “I’m used to it.” Main reason why pop was such a treat, and the foil to many a good outfit of his. “Uhh, thanks?” Seiko said, feeling the brim of his hat and blushing, or at least he would have, if he hadn’t already been the color of a lobster primed for the buffet table. Surprisingly, his hat was seemingly well liked among the population, but then again, who didn’t like a fedora in any case? Smiling, he said “Tell you what, I’ll pay for your pizza, make it up to you. Okay?” He had to do something to salvage this situation.
Anthony, meanwhile, was panting in excitement. The pizza man was here, and ready to deliver their pizza. Grinning, he saw it approach, and then as he set it on the table, Anthony grinned widely. This was just too perfect. Grabbing the edge of the carboard, he secured the pizza box in his jaws, in the corner specifically made for pokemon to grab, and trotted off, towards the beleaguered Seiko. Zipping in under the table, he managed, somehow, to weasel his way into the booth, and plopped it down, nosing it open then saying to the growlithe next to him “You want some?” Might as well be friendly in his moment of triumph. He couldn’t wait for the look on their faces. It’d be priceless.
Alexandria looked around, realizing Anthony was nowhere to be seen, and wondered at his location, but pushed that aside, saying “I’m sure you wouldn’t mind free pizza! We’re waiting for ours in fact.”
“Speaking of which, shouldn’t we have gotten it at our table by now?” Seiko stated, turning to look. “Huh. Guess not.”
“Weird. Normally, they’ve gotten it by now.” Alexandria said, having reserved a pizza. Reservations and all were a great choice if you knew you wanted some pizza early. Shrugging, she said “It’ll get here. Seemingly you guys got yours.”

((Again xD Sorry it took a while xDD)
Valentine was making her way up Skie’s side while she and the boy who’d caused the soda-spill talked, her little claws pricking into her sweatshirt lightly to give her the leverage that let her scramble up onto her trainer’s shoulder. She was quiet as she listened, eyeing the boy curiously, her wide pink eyes shining. She’d grown used to familiar faces; ones she’d seen around the Ranger base daily, or at least once in a while. Really, with all the wandering around she’d done, it was no surprise she recognized everyone in the base. Now remembering their names was a different story, but she had enough time to do that as well.
Truffle was almost in the same state of mind, though she was a tad older and therefore more used to these outings into the city. She’d watched the rootbeer-drenched events unfold with horrified eyes, however. Holy crap, did they know how much sugar was in soda? And now it was everywhere. Wonderful. What if some of it got on her pizza? Then it would be ruined.
Still.
She got over that little problem rather quickly, the same way little kids do when something new is waved in front of them. Her attention switched from the soda on the table, to the boy with the hat (and she had to agree with Valentine: it was a cool hat.) to a newcomer at the table. Another Growlithe, like Ace. She blinked, puffing up a bit in partial jealousy when she wasn’t offered any. But then again, Ace was larger than her, and more than likely blocked her out. Or at least she thought so. She was a girl who didn’t like to be ignored, per say. But she listened to Ace.
He had just about rolled over laughing. Sure, a bit of him had gotten a little angry when he saw some of that soda splash onto his trainer (he was an overprotective little puppy after all), but still. It was funny. And from what Ace could get out of looking at the boy who’d spilled it, he never meant for it to happen, or meant harm at all. So Ace let his attention switch over to his other side when another Growlithe hopped up onto the seat beside him in the booth.
He eyed the pizza box suspiciously. He wasn’t a rude Growlithe, really; just the opposite. He was about as polite as you could get as a puppy. But still. Where had…the pizza come from? His goody-goody side told him he shouldn’t touch it. One of his ears was still rotated back a bit, listening in on his trainer and the other Growlithe’s trainer’s conversation. Their own pizza hadn’t arrived yet, right? So, what? Did he snatch this one from another table? Or maybe-
Ace’s stomach growled.
…
And he grinned, his tail wagging. “Sure,” he said cheerfully. “Thank you. And I’m Ace,” he introduced. Manners, manners. And forget where it came from, his stomach was growling. He leaned up, placing his paws up on the table and took out one of the sausage slices. Gah, he loved sausage. It was so damn good.
“Where’s my slice? Aaace,” Truffle started, nudging the puppy. “Is there a veggie piece in there? Is that our pizza?”
“Heyheyheyhey!” Valentine’s turn, and her little outburst made Skie jump. The Rattata scrambled down her side again, hopping onto the table and eyeing the pizza with bright, happy eyes. “Ooh! Hey, can I have a piece too? Please? Can I?” She wasn’t one to ask go into details on where food came from, apparently. Her little stomach rumbled too and she just saw the pizza, splayed out on the table.
Skie snorted, amused. “Oh, um…” She glanced back up at the boy. “I wouldn’t,” she laughed, smiling at the Combusken. “But…ah, that’s alright. You don’t have to pay. It was an accident and all.” She took half the napkins and began wiping the soda up. She glanced back at all the Pokemon. “And…is..I don’t know,” she almost started laughing. “That’s not our pizza. There’s no veggie-lovers on it.” She raised an eyebrow but didn’t say anything else. Instead she looked back up at the boy, realizing something.
“Pfft,” she smirked, “I’m Skie, by the way,” she said. “Skie Loon. And I’d shake your hand but…” she looked at hers, wiping them dry with another napkin now that the table was more or less wiped up. “I’m sort of a bit sticky. And…you don’t have to pay for our pizza, but would it be alright if we moved to your table?” She eyed their own. Sure, the soda was dried up, but hell if it wouldn’t be sticky and bleh.

Seiko saw the ratatta look up and down him, and eyed the rattatta curiously. What was that pokemon looking at? Was he really that interesting? Shaking slightly, he decided to push that to the side, for now. He probably just had a bunch of soda on his shirt and stuff, and he’d have to fish out of his back a new one. At least he had it on him. Would have been worse if he’d gotten to his apartment before coming in, and left his bag. He did not want to have to wear this t shirt much longer.
Anthony nodded to Ace as he introduced himself after saying he’d love some, and Anthony said “Good! I’m sure everyone wouldn’t mind a piece.” As he grabbed one of the meat lover sides, Anthony did the same, grabbing a rather meaty slice and munching on it, still mindful to eat nicely, since Alexandria would likely scold him in front of everyone if he failed to. She was so annoying like that.
Anthony nodded as the purple puffball wandered down the girl’s shoulder, and laughed, saying “Of course!” There was always leftover, so he could budget a few slices, lord it over the two in having finally succeeded in his dastardly plan, and then left them with enough to eat. It would work perfectly. He’d get his laugh, and they all would have pizza. Then he saw the girl remark it wasn’t there’s.
Alexandria looked surprised as she said it wasn’t there’s, and then realized with a jolt, there were two growlithes now. Two of them? Maybe the second one had been hiding when they’d first arrived. Then she thought for a second. That second one looked familiar. As the girl introduced herself, she puzzled it. Could it be? She then realized what had happened. Anthony had taken the pizza! That’s who it was! But as she turned, she realized it was too late.
Seiko looked at the girl curiously, then shrugged, saying “Oh. Well, its nice to meet you skie! Yeah, it probably is a bit too sticky to shake hands. “ He said, commenting on his own soda covered appendages. Well, at least she wasn’t mad. She then asked if it was alright to move to their table, and he nodded, saying “I’m sure its fine. Our pizza’s still yet to come tho-“
“HAH! I WIN! FINALLY!” Anthony yelled, as he finished his slice, interrupting Seiko’s words and barking, grinning like a maniac as he said to Seiko “SEE?!? I told you I’d win! And finally I did! Finally! Eat that!” He said, grabbing a victory slice, and munching on it, a triumphant smirk smeared across his face like the soda was smeared across the table.
“What? Wait. No way.” Seiko said, laughing slightly as he realized that he’d finally won. Good for him
Alexandria however wasn’t going to lose her record without a fight. Looking at Anthony, she glared, and said “Hey. He was having a twitch moment. That’s hardly fair!”
” I said anytime did I not? You agreed to it, take the rules!” Anthony said, seemingly not even minding as he munched his pizza.
Seiko just rolled his eyes as the two argued, shrugging slightly then turning to Skie, figuring he might as well attempt to explain their behavior. “If your wondering what’s going on. Anthony has been for forever trying to steal our food and snack on it. It’s turned into somewhat of a competition between the two, and eventually they bet on it. So yeah. That’s basically the reason why they burst out like that.” With that, he leaned over, and grabbed a slice, attempting to act cool, but his face was red. They just had to argue right now. Perfect timing on their part, as if to give maximum embarrassment.

(( *is shot for the post being so short* D: ))
“Thanks,” Skie grinned. Good, ‘cause this table was a mess. She laughed a little. “So, um, what was your name again? Sorry if I missed it,” she stood then, slowly, away from the messy table. Gah, she’d feel like an idiot if she did. She couldn’t recall if he’d told her or not. The girl watched her Pokemon go at the pizza, little Valentine just about doing a back flip out of pure joy as she slid a smaller slice towards herself, pulling it up and nibbling on it.
Skie laughed at her little Rattata. She always ate the crust first, back and forth as she nibbled away like a typewriter.
Ace leaned up again, leaving his slice for a second to pull out one for Truffle. It was a bit tough to get your own slice without arms, of course. And Ace was always the gentlemanly sort.
“You mean…that’s…” Skie held her stomach as she laughed out loud at the situation. So the other Growlithe, Anthony, right? had stolen their own pizza? Pft. Nice. “Good one.” Her laugh tapered off and she shook her head. Pft. “Clever puppy,” she smirked. “But, since my team is sort of…uh.” She looked over at them again. “Already gorging themselves on your pizza, when mine comes you all can dig into that one too.” She smiled.
“I don’t really even like plain cheese,” Truffle told them very seriously. “I like my veggie lovers better.” And yet she turned and continued munching away at her slice anyway.
“That’s my Truffle. She’s a health nut, but she loves the pizza here.” Skie grinned, shrugging. “And so-“
“Uh, s’cuse me?” rang another voice. Skie turned to see a waitress, holding another large box. “The pizza for table 13 is ready…uh…would you like someone to come and clean this up for you?” she asked, eyeing the napkin-drenched space, with the little purple puffball typewriting her pizza away on the tabletop.
“Oh cool! Our pizza’s here,” Skie chirped, clapping her hands together. “Oi, Truffle, Val, Ace. Ready to move on?” the girl glanced back over her shoulder for a second as the waitress rested the box in her outstretched arms. Her trio of small Pokemon looked up from their meals, nodding and shifting around to move to another spot.
Skie turned back to the waitress. “Thank you, ma’am. But we’re going to head over to my buddy’s table. Sorry for the mess here. Just an accident, you know?” Her smile was apologetic.
“It’s no problem,” the waitress shook her head. “We’ll take care of it.”
Skie nodded at the same moment her team surrounded her around her ankles, peering up at the two humans, waiting for guidance because they had no idea where this boy’s table was or where they’d be going.
“We’re going to his table, right?” Valentine asked curiously. “We’re going to your table?”
“Yeah, Val, we’re-hey, wait a second, Valentine!” Skie tried, really, but the little Rattata was just too damn…ugh. Touchy sometimes. The little purple Pokemon took to her usual affectionate-self and clambered up the boy’s pant leg, up his side; up and up until she scampered along onto his shoulder, pushing the top of her head up under his chin as she nuzzled him. “Thank you~” she sang cheerfully.
“…Valentine.” Skie sighed. She would have snatched her little Pokemon if her hands weren’t full with the box. And she sighed again when Truffle and Ace started laughing. “I’m sorry. She does that. It’s how she says hello. Or how she says she likes you.” It was a bit embarrassing, but the girl shrugged it away. “So. Which way’s your table?”

He looked at the table as she said that it was a mess, and sighed. Of course it was. No thanks to him, she’d have to come with him and invade his table. Wait. Why was he complaining about that? That was a good thing right? Still, he felt bad for having to disrupt her so. It wasn’t exactly what he wanted to have happen, spill soda all over him and her. Still, at least he could offer her the use of his table! That was a plus. Made him look slightly better, though a change of clothing would help too. Least his hat wasn’t soaked. Didn’t want his hat to be ruined. Again.
Seiko just sighed slightly as Skie put together the interesting pieces that had led to the events of Anthony’s gloating. He nodded at her as she said he was clever, and added “Too clever. I’m sorry for his outburst.” Gah. It was like they knew just how to perfectly screw up any chance of this girl thinking he was normal. He’d already ruined that sure, but a guy could dream right? Looking at Anthony, he glared, even though he had to admit, it was an anytime anywhere deal.
Anthony just ignored Seiko’s venomous glare as he watched them eat the pizza, also ignoring Alexandria who was busy chirping away at him. He’d won, fair and square, and they both knew it. They were just jealous. “Ah. That’s interesting. I wouldn’t think eating Veggie lovers is any better for you though, since the vegetables lose all their nutrients in the cooking. “[/b] Surprisingly, he knew what he was talking about, since he was what some would call a food wiz. Ask him about food, he’ll know something.
Seiko saw that her pizza soon was arrived, and she grabbed it, holding it in her arms. He did the same with their pizza, grabbing it firmly with both hands, not really worried he’d twitch out, he had a little time, but still, he’d rather be safe than sorry at this moment. He saw that his cheese side was pretty good, but the bacon was almost gone, and the Hawaiian halfway there.
Alexandria meanwhile, decided the best retort was to ignore him. She had tried argueing with him, but she couldn’t reach him, and she wasn’t able to get him to respond, so she’d just ignore him. She refused to admit that it was her being childish, but there was another reason for this. She didn’t want to say anything really mean, and this way she wouldn’t have to worry about it. She’d simmer down then she’d probably just ignore the situation. Well, she couldn’t with him, but she’d try at least.
Seiko was about to go when he was assaulted, in a sense, by the presence of Valentine. She was soon up his leg, to his supreme discomfort, and climbing up him, as he wiggled. It felt so weird! Not to mention it was not the most pleasant thing she could be doing. Soon she was nuzzling his neck, and he said “Umm, your welcome?” How embarrassing, he had a purple fluffball at his neck, and he hated things at his neck. He was just a hint paranoid about that.
Still, he nodded to her next question, and said “Just follow me.” With his pizza box in hand, he soon was over at his table, which by adding several chairs, since not many others were in this area, he managed to make enough room for everyone. He sat the pizza down then, and grabbed a slice of cheese, biting down and eating it with relish. Ah, at least the pizza was still good! He loved cheese, its was by far in his opinion the best flavor ever. It was just the best. It had to be.
Anthony followed him to the table, staking a chair and smiling, grabbing a slice of Hawaiian, which he ate grinning, while Alexandria glared, saying “Hey! That’s my pizza slice and you know it!” Soon they were bickering again, Seiko just sighing. These two just couldn’t get along at times. Still, Alexandria was the unofficial mom of the group, and he was the rebel, it was only natural they would clash.
“So, Skie, what do you do around here?” He asked, wanting to ignore his pokemon for the moment.

(( Gah >.< Sorry this took so long xD ))
Truffle looked absolutely horrified.
“R-really?” she gasped, eyes wide as she stared at the other Growlithe. “Vegetables lose…all of their nutrients?” she blinked before turning and looking up at Skie. “You never told me that!”
The girl held up her hands, as if to defend herself. “I didn’t know!”
“How could you not know?”
“How could you not know?” Skie countered.
“I’m small!”
She grinned. “I’m a little small too. You know. And you shoulda asked Greg. He probably would have known that. And hey,” she looked at Anthony, “He seems pretty smart, why don’t you ask him stuff you don’t know. Gah, why am I the encyclopedia?”
“Because! Because I said you are!” Truffle actually stomped a little foot. She couldn’t believe vegetables really lost all their nutrients! What had she been eating all this time? Oh, the horrors!
Valentine, the boundless little ball of energy, let out a n excited sort of chirp when Seiko moved for the table, chattering happily about a ‘ride’ or something. It made Skie smirk and shake her head. Sure, the Rattata could get a little…eh, trying, sometimes, but hell if she wasn’t cute. And she was just a little girl still, to boot. You could hardly get angry at her for being friendly, even a little overly so.
Skie shook her head, and scooped up Truffle from their table bench with one arm (making a show of balancing the pizza box in one hand) before following after Seiko as he moved away, and Ace trotted along after her.
She sat down at the table, placing Truffle on the bench beside her. Ace hopped up as well, watching the bickering argument between Anthony and Alexandria with some interest. But when Skie placed their own pizza box on the table he was quick enough to nose it open to get some more; he was a bit on the hungry side still.
“Val, get off his shoulder,” Skie waved a hand, smiling. “C’mon, you’re buggin’ him.”
“Aww!” she hung her head. But she did, however leap from his shoulder to the table. Her little claws and pads kept her from sliding, but Skie still let out a little “Careful!” as she jumped. Valentine scampered back over to the pizza, looking down at Truffle on the bench. “You want any?”
“I dunno. It’s not healthy. Not anymore. I thought it was. But it’s not.” Truffle seemed to sigh.
“Aw, but it’s good! C’mon, just one? You gotta eat somethin’.”
“…Alright. Just one.” Well…she’d been eating the veggie pizza for this long, thinking it was better for her…what was one more piece?
And as Valentine dragged a piece out to give to Truffle, Skie looked at Seiko from across the table, leaning on her elbows over the table. Their whole table was a bit crowded; not that that wasn’t something she wasn’t used to. She had a family with some pretty big Pokemon after all.
“What do I do?” she smiled, laughing a little as she glanced down at the table. “Well, I don’t live in the Citadel. I actually live pretty far from it. I’m a Ranger.” She looked up at him. “You know where the HQ is right? Pretty far off. I dunno how many miles.” She shrugged.
“I flew here,” she explained, realizing that he might ask something along the lines of ‘how’d you get way over here?’. “I’ve got my Aerodactyl with me. Rawk,” she moved an arm, pulling the small Pokeball out of her pocket and showing him. “We flew over; Aerodactyls are pretty damn fast,” she laughed. Man, she loved flying with the big guy. Even when he tried to be funny and drop her.
“But…yeah. I’m a Ranger.” And an Agent at that, though she, of course, never said that particular bit out loud. “The vigilantes of Remoor. But…we’re not as goody-goody as our rep says we are. Promise.” She smiled. Bringing up the basis of your allegiance could be a risky thing. If he was any sort of Pravus follower, even if he wasn’t enlisted, she had just made herself an enemy.
But she doubted he was one, unless he was some sort of errand boy. He didn’t seem…gritty enough to be one of them. Pravus were the bad guys, right? Bad guys were usually jerks; or so said the common stereotype. And so said her stereotype.
She grew a tad uncomfortable then, shifting in her chair.
“What about you?” she asked slowly, her lower tone maybe hinting that she was a bit more cautious now. “What do you do?”

Anthony nodded grimly as she looked at him horrified, and said “Well, more of most. Since they bake these in grease, any added goodness would be lost anyway.” The Growlithe figured it was his duty to disillusion anyone who thought wrongly about food. Food was a serious thing, you know. It could ruin your life if you weren’t careful about it, and that was something he wouldn’t even wish on his worst enemies. A life ruined by food was a life not worth living, at least in his mind. As she said that he seemed to know a lot, he puffed out his chest, trying to look smart. Well, he was, but he might as well try and look the part too! Strong, proud majestic, like any good Growlithe should.
Seiko was not nearly as happy about the ball of fur on him as it seemed to be, but he bore it anyway, knowing that whatever he said would likely be ignored by it. Oh well, it was a Rattata, not like it knew better anyway. He walked to the table, pulling up a few extra chairs as she brought the pizza box over, Anthony and Alexandria already sitting at a table, while Jasmine was busy relaxing in her spot, as she had been the entire time. Seiko smiled at the lot as he pulled up enough chairs for their new guests, since luckily they hadn’t yet been put off by his odd twitching, quite a feat in his mind at least. Finally, the rattata did leave his shoulder, scampering across the table, and he said “Well, you want some pizza?” Opening his box, and grabbing a slice. Taking a bite, he grinned. It was delicious!
As she talked about what she did, he grinned, saying “A ranger? That’s got to be a tough job. Putting Remoor back into shape is a tall order.” He knew that for a fact, just putting his own life back together was a herculean task. But since she lived so far off, it did beg the question of how she got here, until she enlightened him to this fact. She had an areodactyle, which was pretty awesome, he had to say. Those Pokémon had always been rather cool. She then said that rangers weren’t as goody goody as their reputation stated, and he laughed ”I don’t think that’s a bad thing really. Its nice to know someone who will do the right thing instead of the easy thing.” Lord knows he’d met enough of those kind of people.
Jasmine, interested in the conversation some what, got up, and stretched, walking then jumped quite acrobatically onto Seiko’s shoulder, her favorite perch. He nearly jumped, but was getting used to her new habit of perching there. ” Seiko’s just a traveler. He doesn’t have a job at least not right now, but he is thinking of joining the rangers.” That last bit was something she added, more of her wanting to get back at Pravus than Seiko wanting to join them. Seiko however, did want to join them, he just wasn’t sure what he’d do there.
“Heh. Yeah, she’s right, but I don’t know about joining just yet.” He stated.
“Of course you want to join!” Chimed in Anthony, just picturing Seiko in a cape, saving the day with his proud Pokémon, and then getting the girl, before vanishing off, to do some other good deed. Who wouldn’t want to do that? “We’d be hero’s! and I’m sure hero’s get free food!” He grinned, finishing his pizza. Free food made everything better.
“Scruffy has point you know. You’d be perfect for the job, if not for your affliction.” Alexandria said, nodding.
Seiko however, winced at her metion of affliction, and said “I don’t know if they’d accept someone like me.” He’d have to come clean about his seizures, and that could be dangerous.

(( Here you go! 83 One Skie post for yah xD ))
A tough job?
Ha.
“It is a little tough. A little rough around the edges. And it’s not cool when you’re trying to help and everyone decides to be ignorant to what we’re trying to do, and does the name-calling and degrading crap. Everyone apparently thinks Rangers are sissies. Like we’re all a bunch of goody-goodies who want to just put a big, rainbow band-aid on Remoor and that’ll be it.”
She snorted, leaning back in her seat, actually smirking. “Well this goody-goody could probably kick just about anyone in this place’s ass from here to Kanto and back. Le’s see them call me a goody-goody pansy then.” Her grin was playful though. “Kidding.” Sort of.
“But…thank you,” she smiled. “It’s nice to find someone who agrees with what we’re doing. And I would like to help. The rebuilding stage…yeah, it’s gonna be tough. And like you said it really is a very… very tall order.”
Her trio of small Pokemon were gorging themselves now, though she paid little attention to them. When they started eating… Boy, did they freaking eat.
Her eyes moved from the boy however, to his Kitcia as she jumped lightly onto his shoulder. Skie blinked at the Pokemon—jeez, Kitcias were pretty things—and listened intently as she spoke.
“Really?” she grinned at her words. “You want to be a Ranger? You should join!” She nodded. “We need all the help we can get.”
She leaned over the table, placing her elbows on it casually as Anthony spoke up. “Yep. Superheroes.” She smirked. “Minus the glamour and spandex of course. But it’s a rewarding job, a lot of the time. I mean…I love it, personally.”
Her ears perked up though, as Alexandria piped in. “Affliction?” she blinked. “What do you mean?” she looked from the orange Pokemon to Seiko again. “I mean…ah, don’t want to sound nosy or anything.” The girl’s eyes narrowed a bit at the worry in his voice.
“…Pft.” She crossed her arms. “We wouldn’t turn you down. Unless you’re ‘affliction’ is codename for the plague, or that you’re a serial killer in disguise, you could join no problem.” She paused. “But…well, I mean, if it’s like, something serious anyway, you might not get the same missions or jobs as the rest of us really. There may be drawbacks…but honestly, unless it’s really something bad, I can’t imagine you being left out of much, really.”
“I think you would fit in just fine,” Ace’s told him, joining into the conversation. “Whatever is wrong. From what I know about you right now, there are plenty stranger at the Ranger headquarters,” he murmured, giving a playful grin towards his trainer.
“Shut up,” Skie laughed. “But really,” she continued. “I mean, if you’re really interested about joining…I could help with that.”

Seiko nodded as she said that it was tough having people think they were goody goody, and he nodded. That or they thought of them as vigilantes. "Well, its better they think your goody goody than dangerous vigilantes. You know how the police consider them to be dangerous criminals." They were often reports on the news about how never to trust a ranger, even if they seemed friendly, as many of them were convicted felons. The likelihood of that was something he questioned, but he couldn't deny many people bought it. What reason did they have to think that the police would lie to them? Seiko wasn't even sure they were lying himself. He just found it unlikely.
He couldn't help but smile when she said that that this particular goody goody could kick someone to kanto and back. Well, he would have to remember not to get on her bad side. He believed her too, she had no real reason to lie to him, and besides, he liked her. She seemed honest enough, and besides, she was one of the good guys. Or, maybe, one of the better guys. No one could really tell right now. Just had to pick a side and hope that whatever may come, you got out of it alive. A rather sad state of affairs, but one that was his reality. Best get used to it.
She then said that he should totally join, and he laughed, saying "I'm sure they dont' want me in their ranks. I'm not the most atheletic of them all." In fact, he would consider himself rather low on the physical fitness scale, even though that was a complete lie. He thought it though, with his seizures and the like. You couldn't really work out well when too much strain could throw you into spasms, though he wasn't quite sure strain was the real trigger. Of course, his Pokemon didn't believe him, especially the Kitcia, which laughed, and set Skie straight.
" He just says that. He's rather strong really. He got martial arts training too. He can be a real threat you know!" She grinned and gave a mrowl of laughter after this. Oh, she knew Seiko would hate to be talked up like this. But it did him good. He always underestimated himself, and if it weren't for the fact she knew he was quite the skilled trainer, she wouldn't have stayed with him. the Kitcia family knew these kind of things, which trainers were good and bad. They were smart.
Anthony chimed in again as well, saying "Of course he's strong! He just has sei- He stopped himself mid word on that last part, face striken as Seiko unleashed a mighty glare in his direction. Whoops, almost let the cat out of the bag, and Seiko'd be mad at him. Didn't want him mad.
Her comment about superhero's minus the spandex made him laugh, hoping he'd distract her from the word Anthony had almost said. "Well, thats a relief, I don't think the world is ready to see me in spandex." The thought was worthy of a shudder, making him snort once more in laughter. Spandex and him would probably become a deadly combination, for both wearer and beholder. "Don't worry, I don't have plague, or am a serial killer." He nodded to her, smiling slightly.
"But hey, I guess I can tell you. I don't like telling people this, but...I have a nervous disorder. Its not too bad with medication, but I have seizures about twice a month. As well, I get twitches randomly, about once a day. Could be a hand twitch, or my leg could fall out from under me. Worst part is, after the seizure, I'm unconscious for about 20 minutes, and can't move any body parts once I wake up." He said the last part softly, embarrassed to admit this. He hated having this. He hated it with a passion. It wasn't right that he had to deal with this, or anything!
Alexandria nodded, and said "Normally he twitches alot before a seizure, so it can help with that. As well, Anthony's been able to sometimes predict them, something that's somewhat nice. Still, half the time their's no warning." She sighed. He was probably beating himself up about this right now. Oh well, he'd just have to get used to it. He'd have it his whole life really.

(( omfg I'm sorry it took so long D| And it's...lol it sucks D| I'm sorry for that too >.o ))
“…I guess,” she murmured, raising an eyebrow as her gaze shifted off. Better to be goody-goody, eh? Well…yeah. Like he said, police wouldn’t swarm a group of pansies, now would they? Not that the Rangers were, like she said before. But…pf. It still made her angry. “Yeah. But I wish everyone would just, you know, understand we’re trying to help.” She laughed a little bitterly. “Instead of falling into believing one stereotype or another. Are we goody-goody or dangerous criminals? It’s ridiculous.” She sighed. “We’re just trying to help,” she repeated.
The girl waved a dismissing hand when he admitted his athleticism. “Pft, yeah.” She snorted, and was about to say something when the Kitcia spoke up. And Skie grinned at the blue cat-like Pokemon. “Ha!” she laughed. “See? You sound great,” she shook her head. “Like the Karate Kid, huh? That’s cool. Why did you say…?” she shook her head. People and their weird habits of being way too modest. …Not that she wasn’t guilty of that, oh no…But still.
“Look, if you…ha, if you meant you were lazy…despite all your martial arts training I totally get that.” She shrugged, and was about to go on when Valentine spoke up.
“Yeah. She’s really lazy. All the time,” the little Rattata told Seiko and the others who were listening as she paused from nibbling on a bit of pepper she’d pulled from her new vegetable slice.
“Omigosh. Val. Shush,” Skie grinned, but did nothing more to stop her.
“She sleeps in until almost midnight sometimes, and sometimes even later when she’s with—“
“I stay up late, and I wake up late,” Skie interrupted before Valentine went on to say something embarrassing. Jeez. No need to talk about him here. Ah ha… “But I’m a good enough Ranger I guess. No one’s kicked me out yet, and I get missions and all. So if that’s what you meant…look, you’ve got nothing to worry about. As a whole, most of us Rangers are pretty…lax.” She grinned. “But…ah. Well. The ones that aren’t, like our boss, he’s like. Stiff. Totally serious about everything. And I guess that’s the sorta leader we need. He keeps things organized and under control and does his best to motivate us. I bet you’d like him.”
…But then again he might not. She wasn’t sure. Reid had…well. Changed. He was so damn quiet now. So drawn back and serious. She missed the old Reid; the one she used to easily call her friend. She still considered him a good friend now, but..with his new attitude, she wondered if he still considered her in the same way. He treated everyone a bit harsher now it seemed. Made her a bit sad.
…
She grew silent, listening carefully.
…Ah. So that was it. Well.
“A nervous disorder, hm…?” she thought for a minute, really thinking about how that might affect him if he were to join up. “…” She smiled at him, resting her chin in her hand. “That must be…hard, I bet. I’m sorry,” she shook her head. “I can’t even imagine…hn. It’s a good thing you’ve got your team to take care of you. There for you when you need them, huh?” She knew she could always count on her team. Without them…pft. She didn’t even want to think about it.
“…But in all honesty,” she began slowly. “I…hm. That might…make some drawbacks, really. If you went on a mission, you could end up in danger if a seizure comes along, you know? You may just need a partner or two. So maybe take the missions that need numbers so you don’t just end up having tag-alongs. You’ll all be on the same mission, you know?” She tapped her fingers on the table, thinking. “You’d make a great Ranger, Seiko. You seem like the strong time. The sorta guy who…well. You know. Who’s strong-willed enough to make the right decision and push through with it. And your disorder sorta seems to prove it. From what I can tell you, in no way shape or form, don’t seem like the type to just curl up and give up. You’re dealing with it. Right?” She grinned. “That’s strong.” She admired him for it.
“We would accept you. And we would help out too. If you were to pass out after a seizure in the base, you wouldn’t wake up surrounded by a bunch of strangers. Us Rangers? We’re like a big family, really. We’re always there for each other, in some way. Friends are hard to come by…and trust is hard to build.” She looked down at her hands, surprised to see they had laced together tightly, squeezing to a point where her fingers almost ached. A subconscious wince at the trust that was broken—no, shattered—between she and her parents. But she ignored that.
“I still think you’d make a great Ranger.” She continued, smirking. “I meant that.”

Seiko nodded as she seemed to vent about the fact that everyone was either thinking they were a bunch of pansies or dangerous criminals, and said “Well, just think, you can surprise both of them!” He smiled at that, and added “Besides, trying to get people to believe things they don’t want to is a waste of time.” He sighed slightly at that, knowing his own experiences with that. People thought his disease would spread, for no reason other than they were afraid it would. It really was disheartening even after explaining it how people would either pity or think he’s crazy. Normally they would do both.
Seiko blushed as he heard her say that he was great, stating “Nah. She overstates my abilities.” Still, it was kind of nice to have someone think he was cool. Though he had no idea what this Karate Kid business was, he was sure it was a compliment. “Your probably way stronger than me.” Which was a sad state of affairs, to be sure, but he didn’t feel like overstating his strength. Especially when anything happened, he’d be shown as the liar he was. Then the little Rattata starte to speak up, saying that Skie was really lazy, much to Skie’s amusement, then went on to say something more, before being cut off.
Jasmine watched this exchange, and when she saw Skie rush in to cut off her Rattata, she grew interested. So, something was happening that she didn’t want to tell them about? What could it be? It definitely intrigued her, so as she continued to yammer on, obviously changing the subject, she stored it away, careful not to forget this for later. Who knows what interesting details she might uncover. She went on to talk about her leader, who seemed to be stiff, and wondered if they would get along. Seiko seemed the stiff sort, and she stated such, saying “They sound like a pair. Seiko himself is very stiff!” She gave a mrrowl of laughter at that, while Seiko attempted to pretend he didn’t hear that.
Seiko was blushing red after Jasmine’s comment, and said “Well, yeah, leader types are like that. Overprotective and all, wanting to make sure everyone’s okay.” He smiled at her, then shrugged his shoulders.
Anthony chimed in now, finishing a slice and saying “Well, a noble majestic leader has to lead the good guys! Nothing less would work!” He nodded sagely, as if this was the most obvious thing in the world. The good guys had to have a noble, smart leader, because they were the good guys, and the good guys always won. Sure, there were setbacks, but they always won in the end.
She seemed to grow quiet after his explanation, and then said that it must be hard, at least he had his team. He had to admit, she was right there, his team was invaluable. Without them, well, he probably wouldn’t be out and about. No, in fact he’d be at home, tending to his mother and running up her bill. Which he had to say, he needed to work on. His cash flow was seriously lacking at the moment.
She then went though and said that he would probably have to have some provisions made for him, but that he would definitely make a good ranger. He had the stuff, basically was her point, that made him a good guy. It was nice to hear that she didn’t think it was impossible, but he just wasn’t sure. They wouldn’t want some seizuriffic guy on their team, no matter how good he was right? Or if they did, maybe they were a bit too desperate. Still, she was on the team, and seemed on the up and up. Alexandria however, liked what she was hearing. If he passed out, at least he would be surrounded by people that would help, and he wouldn’t have to deal with this on his own. That would definitely take the strain out of her day, knowing that he was surrounded by people that would help her if she needed it. Still, it was his choice, she wouldn’t say anything. It didn’t matter what he did, she’d be there to take care of him. It was hat she was trained to do, and she would do it, come hell or high water.
Jasmine, however, had no such qualms telling him her point of view. ”Honestly it would be in our best interests to work with them. Its not like it would hurt us at all, and besides, it wouldn’t hurt to get some experience with them.” She always liked training, and getting back at Pravus? Well, that just sealed the deal for her.
Anthony agreed, saying ”She’s right you know! You’d fit right in, I’m sure, and it would be a good way to make some money! A steady cash flow is a good thing right?” Surely he wouldn’t say no to that! Especially with how often he groused about his lack of money.
Seiko couldn’t help but smile as he heard from his entire team, save one, and said “Well, I just don’t know. They do make sense. Still, I’m not sure what I should do.” It was a big decision, he didn’t want to just make it on a whim. Another thing came to him, and he asked “What does it take to sign up anyway?” That might be a problem, or would at least give him time to think.

“Surprise them both?” Skie drawled, resting her chin on one hand as she leaned over the table. “…That’d be awesome.” She grinned. “What I wouldn’t give to show ‘em..how wrong they are.” She swallowed back a laugh. “But yeah, that’s true. That’s gotta be one of the hardest parts of the job, I think. You tell people you’re a Ranger, and their first instinct is to freak ‘cause…yeah. Everyone thinks we’re criminals.” She blinked, staring at Seiko. “Do I look like a criminal to you?” “You told me you shoplifted once,” Valentine started, staring up at her trainer before looking back at Seiko. “But she—“
“That.” Skie raised an eyebrow. “Was a pack of gum. And I was eight years old.”
“…Okay.” Valentine rubbed a paw behind one of her ears, suddenly bored with the topic.
The girl raised her eyes when Ace started laughing. Jeez.
But she smiled and shook her head. “Well, I dunno if I’d be stronger or not,” she said honestly. “Depends.” She shrugged. “I mean, we should totally have a sparring match sometime. If you’d be up for it.” She smiled. She meant that too: the offer was real. It would be another chance to strengthen this new friendship too. And allies? Yeah. Everyone needed more of those.
“His name is Reid.” She said. “And…pft, maybe..you’d get along?” She thought for a moment. “He’s not so bad. And you don’t seem like a stiff.” She laughed, shaking her head and running a hand through Valentine’s fur, fingers gentle and careful. “He’s really not so bad. And he really is a good leader. …I love his Lucario,” she grinned. “Jeez, she’s awesome.”
Skie drew her hand back from Val, who was cleaning her whiskers then, ridding them of some pizza sauce she’d mussed herself up with. “Overprotective? I guess. He does care about all of us though. Makes sure we’re safe.” She liked him for that. Respected him for it too. And she grinned almost proudly at the ‘noble’ comment from Anthony.
And she was proud of it. Of being a Ranger. Very proud, actually. They were the good guys, no matter what the dumb, regular public thought. Gah. It was so frustrating. Every time she came into the Citadel, she felt a weird mix of emotions. She was trying to help these people, but if they knew she was a Ranger? Man. Yeesh.
…
“We would help,” she said. “Like I said, we look out for each other.” She smiled. “And the pay isn’t… awesome to be honest, but yeah. It’s..alright I think. You get by, plus free stuff at the Lesterfield. This coffee shop thing there. Thank God for that place.” Skie sighed, grinning. She loved that place and she’d be damned if she wasn’t grateful. “You’d be fine. It’s harder if you have a big team of course. But…you’d be good.”
She paused, thinking for a moment. “…You’d have to talk to Reid. That’s for sure.” She nodded. “He talks to all the new recruits. Gives them the run-down and a little ‘welcome to the team’ or something. At least he used to I think. Like I said he’s gotten…” she hesitated. No need telling Seiko about…about Seriyah (she fliched a little at the name in her head—she had liked her) anyway. He really didn’t have to know.
“I’ll talk to him for you first, if you’re nervous. I’ll recommend you.” She grinned. “What do you think?”
“Make—“ Valentine coughed, mouth full of pizza.
“Swallow it, girl.” Skie raised an eyebrow.
She coughed again, but did. “I think. You should make sure to tell him about the see-shurs,” she nodded. Like she knew what she was talking about, despite her little struggle with even saying the word. “That would be important right?”
Skie stared at her. “Well. Uh, yeah.” That was sort of a given. “But Seiko, it can get dangerous. I should warn you. …It’s…hard. And…it really can put your life in danger sometimes. I don’t like to sugar coat stuff. Not things like this. I almost lost my life. …Hell I came really close to it, actually. I’m…really lucky to be alive right now.” She didn’t notice how her Pokemon quieted, watching her.
“It’s terrifying. One of your Pokemon could get hurt. You could get hurt. You really have to think this through. The Rangers were created to basically become the Justice League of Remoor. Keep people safe and…” she paused, looking up at him, gray-blue eyes flashing. “…I probably don’t sound like the best advertisement for joining the Rangers do I?” she looked down at the table, twisting her fingers together as she laughed a little quietly.
“But I’m being honest,” she almost whispered. “Joining the Rangers. Is like. Putting. A target on your head. Be it a target of something as easy as just irritating teasing and taunting or…or something worse.”

((Of course I'm done, I've never not been done. thats a completely silly notion, me not being done!))
Seiko couldn't help but smile as she said that it'd be awesome to show them what's for, he laughed. "Well, most people don't tend to look beyond their noses that much, so its understandable. And no, you don't look like a criminal." He snickered slightly as Valentine brought up a transgression happening when she was eight, and said "Though apparently, your a flagrant shoplifter! What would your mom say to that?" He chuckled to himself at it, finding it slightly funny her Rattata would bring up something like that. Worth a little chuckle in his mind at least.
He shook his head vehemently when she offered to spar with him, embarrassed at the mere thought. He wouldn't want to look like his weak self in front of her, it wouldn't do at all! She seemed sincere in the offer though, so he felt he should grace his refusal with words, even if they weren't very good ones. "I wouldn't want to hurt myself, or you with a random hit." He didn't want to her either, which was a possibility, should he twitch, fall, or seizure and strike her. He could hurt people, and that was the last thing he wanted to to do to someone he was getting along well with.
The entire gang listened as she described her leader, staying quiet until she finally finished, at least for the moment being, and nodded as she finished, saying he was simply overprotective. It made sense when things were like they were, and he simply commented "Well, I thing it make sense for him to be a little concerned, since you know, you aren't the highest on everyone's list." He felt he would be completely paranoid if he was the leader of a revolution. Though, it made him wonder what he was exactly revolting against.
"Thats just how they work. They're the mysterious do gooders on the edge, fighting valiantly against evil while fighting off the evil inside them! Its in all good superhero plots." Anthony nodded sagely, as a self professed movie buff. Seiko had a habit of being stuck around doing nothing, and movies were a good way to pass the time. However, Anthony was a little too into it, having an almost encyclopedic knowledge of movie plots, and believing that they could really happen in real life. "Don't worry, he's bound to find the main villian soon, and challenge him to a duel, winning by the skin of his teeth!"
Jasmine, ever the pragmatist, just shook her head. smiling slightly at how naive he was acting. She knew he wasn't always like this, but he always had a way of acting like this was some story. Just a little to naive for her liking. "Yep. I agree, because everything works out like in movies you know." She shook her head slightly, snorting lightly through her nose in laughter. Stretching out lightly, she wondered if perhaps that was a little too harsh, but figured he'd just ignore her. Thats what he normally did after all, and besides, he needed a little realism put in his fantasy world.
Seiko nodded along as she then talked about ranger benefits, and figured it had to have some good parts to it. It wans't like he didn't expect to get paid, right? Well, to be honest, he didn't, considering they seemed like the strapped for cash kind, but hey, any pay was better tan what he got right now. "I figure telling him would be the first course of action anyway." It wasn't like he could avoid talking to the leader of the rangers if he ever joined. Reid, what kind of guy was he like? It was a curiosity that was for sure.
Alexandria nodded slightly, and said "I figure that would be the first topic that was brought up. It's not like he could hide it anyway. He'd find out." Stretching slightly, she took another slice, munching on it while she watched the two converse. They would be a good match! She needed to get him a girlfriend. Who was that girl he'd talked to? Needed to get ahold of her again. Seiko was horrible about relationships, he needed to get into one.
Seiko listened intently as she talked about the simple fact it was dangerous, and that she was lucky to be alive, and not only that, but you could get hurt, your pokemon could get hurt, and joining was like painting a target on your back, and prancing around asking people to hit you. "Its not that unusual to me to be in danger. Wouldn't be the first time I nearly died." He'd been hanging by a thread since he was born, he was used to such things. Gave one a sense of mortality, it did.
Anthony shrugged, saying "Can't be any worse than the kidnapping right?" Anthony had been young enough to forget parts of that, though he did remember that it hurt.
Alexandria shuddered, saying "Lets not...bring that up again." She didn't want to remember that. It was not what she considered a bright moment in their lives, for Seiko or them. Scars still hurt from then.
Deciding he did not like the way this was going, and had no wish to explain what the kidnapping incident was, Seiko shook his head lightly, munching on a slice as he stated between bites, ever mindful of his manners, "Whats this lucky to be alive thing about? Is it really that bad?"
