"387...388..." Soap grinned at him self, both eh and Hotaka moving in sync with each other. Soap was impressed, he was about to break his record for number of push-ups made with four cinder blocks on his back.
Hotaka was emulating his trainer, but using a pile of free weights on his back, around 650 lbs. worth. After all, to be that much stronger, you had to train that much harder. He smirked, happy to finally be doing some serious training after he had sent the last few days battling wimps out in t wilderness.
"395...." Jack said with a wild smirk. 385 was his record, sure. But he was gonna go for the solid 400 today. He felt that good. "C'mon Hotaka, we're almost there, buddy!"
Hotaka made some sort of affirmative grunt, smirking to himself even though rivers of sweat were pouring down his face. He was going to go for broke today, to make up for his last few days of doing hardly anything.
"400!" jack said as he flipped over, lettign the heavy bricks fall off his back. "Oorrah!" He said as he pumped his fist in the air, and slowly got up.
Hotaka made the same series of movements, but in the opposite direction. He didn't feel like dropping a pile of weights on Jack, that would probably end in pain for both of them.
Jack grinned, grabbing a towel from an earby bench and tossing a large body towel at Hotaka. "Wash up in this creek. after we're done freshening up, we'll try a little running, alright."
Mu smiled. "Good. Running I can do," the happy little hoppip said with a laugh. "Hard to do push-ups without arms."
Lucidia shrugged. "I'll float laps around you guys. At least I can practice my tangibility," she said with a shrug.

“I don’t wanna go!”[/b] was all Splash said over and over again as she wrapped her arms around the swing sets chains. Adara just rolled her eyes at her baby squritle’s antics as she continued to push her on the swing. “Splash don’t act like that.” was all Adara could manage to say without out laughing. Though a large catlike grin was plastered over her face as she surveyed her little family making sure they weren’t in too much trouble. Blitzkrieg was prancing around the sandbox as kicked up the sand around him. Rayban continued to pace the perimeters as if any minute a monster could come leaping from the forest and destroy his family, but as cat like ears pricked up she knew the only real monster out her was herself. So with a fake sigh she murmured “Well Splash you leave me no choice.” Splash in turn just stuck out her little pink tongue and continued to cling disparately to the swing set. With one fluid motion Adara sprung throw the two metal chains of the swing sent locked Slash within her arms flipped in the air and landed on her feet as cat would have done. With big eyes and plenty of giggles in between Splash squirmed from Adara’s arms. "Do it again! Do it again!” were the only words you could determine as Splash jumped up in down. Now now missy we will, but only after we get some training in. as all she said before she let out a high pitched whistle, and as if it were some fire alarm Blitzkrieg and Rayban both came running. Blitzkrieg lowered his head and allowed Splash to crawl on to her to crawl onto his back, but instead of simply complying Splash ran off into the forest. “I think I hear a creek its this way” She said as she disappeared into the undergrowth. Similar looks of alarm crossed Blitzkrieg Rayban and Ardara’s face, but Adara was the first to race after her troublesome squirtal, though Rayban and Blitzkrieg weren’t ones to be left behind. The three of them made there way through the forest as they franticly chased after Splash. Though with her head start Splash stumbled upon a work out session “Hello there” she said with a smile and a wave “have seen the creek?” she said as she nervously eyed the direction in which she had came. “ahh you gotta hide me” was all she said as she ran behind the large mans legs. It was not that she was scared no her stifled giggled attested to her undaunted expression. It was more along the lines that Splash was the biggest and most spoiled trouble maker this world had to offer. They stumbled up on the workout session just as Splash had done instead Rayban Blitzcrieg and Adara did he same. Though instead of a friendly hello Adara let out an inhuman growl as she quickly scanned her surroundings “Splash!” she demanded in a low dangerous voice. And in response came out a very sorry looking squirtal from behind the man’s legs. “How many times have I told you not to run off?” She questioned her voice still strong but relief still clear in her eyes. Then and only then when she knew her baby was safe did she look up at the man in which Splash contently stashed herself behind “ummm…sorry about that” was all she could manage as she tussled her hair nervously. Meanwhile, in people's heads....
Soap smiled as he washed his face, and then heard some group running towards him. It sounded like two...no, four. One with hooves.
He then saw the grinning Squirtle. She looked beyond happy. Like the kind of dangerous more than happy most kleptomaniacs tend to be. She then his behind him jokingly. He decided to acquiesce to this, seeing no reason he could be blamed for whatever was happening.
He then saw the Pursuers.
First in was the woman. He couldn't guess her age, but he would definitely liek to chat with her and see if he could get a number. Cat ears? Must've been one of those Morphthingies. Ah well, she was still cute, so ti couldn't hurt to test the waters, right?
Hotaka noticed that for a human, she was damn fast. between the ears, the smell and the reflexes, she must have been one of those Pokemorphs that Pravus was supposed to have. He wondered if she could fight.
Hotaka then noticed the owner of the pair of hooves. A ponyta, and a pretty tough one, too. Hotaka could take him, but it'd probably be a tiring fight. The Luxray that followed seemed less impetuous. He looked more like a tactical fighter, the kind that would scheme like Lucidia until he found a solution. Based on how agile the little guy was, he probably would have been the harder fight, a total pain to land a hit on until he had already fried the opponent. Ah well. Maybe later he'd see.
Mu wave at the Squirtle cheerfully. "Hi"
Lucidia just smirked, her fangs showing slightly at this interesting group.
Jack laughed when she apologized. "Nothign to be sorry for, always a pleasure to meet someone new," and cute, his mind finished the sentence despite his not verbalizing it. "Me and the boys here were just getting in some exercise. never know what you're going to need to do next, after all."
Lucidia coughed. "I'm Lucidia. You could say I keep'the boys' in line," she said in a half-mocking tone.
The Hoppip bounced over to the Squirtle. "Hi! I'm Mu!"

“thanks” little ol Splash said to the owner of the leg she clinged to. “but I am caught .. so I might as well go face the big bad kitty.” Splash whisper up to the man she was hiding behind before she scooted out into what should be called the "danger zone". She recieved the normal death glare and question, but these were the normal antics for this very strange family. Splash was the baby of the family. Rayban was the protector. Blitzkrieg was the goofy big brother, and Adara was the experimental mother of this crazy family. Though as Splash stepped out Rayban stepped in front of his family. His eyes were fixed on the man who was speaking as he dropped his position down into a crouch. He did not like strangers especially male strangers. “Kitty, we should go.” he said in a rough voice as he looked up to Adara. Adara only smiled down at Rayban and ran hand across his fur. “just relax” she leaned over and whispered into his ear, though her coaxing had an obvious relaxing effect on him he still proceeded with caution as he followed after his Adara. Blitzkrieg contrary to Rayban’s approach marched happily over to there new found friends. Smileing at Lucidia words. "Well Lucidia Rayban over there likes to think he keeps us in line, but there is nothing in the world that could keep Kitty out of trouble" He said motioning to both Adara and Rayban. Squirtle watched Mu intently as he introduced him self. With a smile Splach introduced herself mimicked Adara “I am Splash” she said as she extended her little blue hand. As her little family settled in with the other pokemon. Adara stepped foward towards the man Splash was hiding behind. “Well I am glad we aren’t intruding” she said as grin twisted across her lips. “that’s what we were trying to do, exercise that is, though I don’t Splash understands the concept of the word” she said as her golden eyes glared to across where Splash stood. Splash in response just gave Adara one of her best winning smiles to which Adara could only shake her head at. “By the way I am Adara Vox.” she said as she extended her hand in his direction. Her hand were unusually tan and her claws longer and shaper than any humans. She smiled up at him which suprised herself there was something about him she was just not sure what it was[/sup][/blockquote]

And now, a bet! Lucidia nodded. "Yeah, sometimes it's amazing the things human get themselves into, yeah?" She then chuckled at the ponyta, still grinning slightly. Jack watched this motley crew argue and tease each other, still smirking. As much ash e hated to admit it, it was nice to see that somebody could still have a sense of humor, even in this mess fo a war-torn region. It didn't hurt that she was kinda cute, and definitely the eager type. Mu nodded. "Maybe you guys can work with us, if you can keep up," he said with a wicked grin on his face. The little hoppip had hung around Jack to the point of picking up his competitive edge, but nowhere near as well-mannered. Jack decided to play off his impetuous friend by playing calm, and taking the young ladies hand. "I'm Jack. The big guy here is Hotaka. He doesn't talk much, but he's a pretty nice guy nice you get to know him." Hotaka simply nodded and bowed politely to all of them. "Anyhow, you guys are more than welcome to join us for the next round of exercise. I was thinking a nice run up the hill, but how about a race to make it a bit more fun? It seems like Mu wants to compete today," he said, still grinning widely and acting almost oblivious. Hotaka simply stretched his legs. Just because he wasn't running on all fours like the Ponyta didn't mean he was slow. And he wasn't gonna play slow either. "There's a small memorial shrine at the top of the hill," Jack said as he pointed to the hill in front of them. "First one to the bottom of the stairs wins the prize, whaddya say?" Lucidia chuckled. "I'll play referee and meet you both at the finish line, seeing as I can go through the mountain," she said, diving into the trees. The mountain was only a bit of trek, but it had a lot of trees, and the path was windy. If you moved through the trees, you could take a shorter route...if you could move through the trees. "The race should be between you and me, to be fair. Our pokemon can just go into it for the braggin' rights. How's that sound?"

your playing a [ dangerous game ]
I am sure your mother must have told you not to talk to strangers. You should have listened, after all there are monsters in this world, and not all of them know the basics to this life. Adara for example only knows listens to only two things; her instincts and her family. And then on occasion she might just listen to an order or two though things might not turn out as planed. The sad thing this is all she knows is war family and survival. So maybe she is not the monster, maybe this world is the monster after all it is the one who created this crazy little demon cat. “Yea and she is not even completely human” Blitzkrieg mumbled under his breath as Lucidia made the comment about the trouble humans could get into, if only she knew the trouble pokemorphs could get into. It was like Adara had a knack for difficult situations. No it was more than a knack it was more like life had a grudge against Adara, though maybe she deserved whatever bad karma occurred after all she was the Captain of Pravus, and she did not get her position by her ability to purr. "Oh we can keep up” Blitzkrieg said with a grinning smile as Mu offered up a challange. He was not the only one who picked up the competitive nature of his trainer, though Adara was never his “trainer”. Adara could never just be a trainer. She was his family as he was hers. There was a big difference between the two after all, and that may be the cause of their dysfunctional successful relationship as a family. “Well its lovely to meet you beautiful.” Adara purred as Jack introduced Hotaka. Though she seemed to stop mid thought as Jack took her hand in his, there was something strange about the feel of her hand in his. Maybe it was because he was human, maybe it was the physical contact, maybe it that he was male, or maybe it was the simple fact that he was attractive. Who really knew when it came to Adara? The only thing she knew is that she pulled back her hand so fast she might have accidentally scratched him in her haste. She shook her head letting her amethyst locks fall of her shoulder as she scratched the back of her head awkwardly. Though her ears pircked up at the sound of competition. “Sounds like a perfect time” She said rolling her r’s. Though as she rolled her r’s her pokomon’s head rolled. Shake shake shakewere the in rhythm back and forth motion all three pokomon did in sync at the motion of Adara competing. “Now now no cheating Darie” Splash chastised with a loving smile. Just as her children shook her head in response to her competing Adara’s muscles tensed beneath her bronze skin, her black slits narrowed to a slights, and her famous catlike smile twisted across her lips. “Darie be careful its only a race” Rayban said as he begin to stretch. “Mother of a sandbox don’t worry your pretty little head off” She smiled at down at Rayban as too she begin to stretch. “You ready” she said with a smile as she walked over to where Jack stood. She smiled up at him and batted her thick eye lashes at him. Though as Rayban Blitzkrieg and Splash lined up behind Adara and Jack they gave a shake of their heads, and all looked at each other before murmuring “Here she goes again”[/sup][/blockquote]

Ready, set...
Hotaka blinked. Beautiful? THAT was a new one. Of all the random things on earth to call him, that was one of the rarest. But wahtever. If that how she saw him, who was he to question it. He simply smirked and nodded. He then walked over to a sack which had the words "Lintu school training equipment" printed on it in bold red letters. He found a flag and stood in front of both of them, deciding that he'd start things off.
Jack nodded, letting go of her hand and still smirking. "Alright, when Hotaka drops the flag, start running, or bouncing, or leaping or floating. Whatever works for you," he said to himself and everyone nearby. "And remember, you don't have to stick to the path if you don't want to. Just get to the finish line, however you want."
Mu grinned wickedly, just hoping for the right breeze, or better yet, for her new friends to make one. She bounced over to the Ponyta, grinning wickedly. "You ready?" The Hoppip sad with a squeak of excitement.
Hotaka, nodded twirling the flag in his hand absentmindedly. He then looked at all of them, bracing ad ready. He smiled, and then quickly, without so much as a word, dropped the flag, turned around and started running. Unfortuantely he knew he would need a miracle, since that move had given them each a head start, but oh well. That just upped the challenge, after all.
Jack shot into the trees and bounded up them, not staying in one place long enough to breath. He had watched many primate type pokemon do this, including both mankeys and aipoms. The trick was to pivot on the branch and control your momentum, which he did, looking like one part monkey, one part trapeze artist.
Hoppip wait for the stiff breeze to come from the other runners, and the lifted up into the air, drifting upward and aiming to land on the stairs.
