Boring, long, fail of a post below. One's been warned.
Ah, the Mirage Hotel. The luscious estate that fed money into it constantly. A paradise for those whom desire an escape -- in more ways than one -- from reality of their dreadful lives. Or what is deemed as dreadful when, to others, is a paradise all to itself. A hotel worthy of its price.
From the outside the massive building is all intimidating by itself. Pillars transcend at the Heavens, as if edging to challenge some divine power. Inside the corridors' was the same rivaling strength that was equal to the outside. Marble released its luster to entrance those whom were, yet, overwhelmed. Bellboys attired in pressed, prober, red and white, garments. Prime and proper it's is a shame that said boys get trashed after their shift is lapsed.
Polished to perfection glass doors were agape for various clients. Diverse groups; anywhere from suit wearing business men to families taking vacation from their 'stressful' life. Despite such universal appearances, one aspect claimed them as similar: Rich. Loaded. Wealthy. Upper class. Whatever your fancy (ha! another way of linking them as one!) that's what said people were.
A young man stood, letting those with luggage, pass on by. Though youthful he denied the presents of shaving; this seen by faint whiskers decorating his tan face. Facial expressions went from smiles to a 'Why do I work here?'. Grumping over his dead end job, he could only fake his enjoyment. After all it was how he survived.
Pathetic. Akira's thoughts never wavered, it appears. The lieutenant's ten-a-shoes hardly ignited a sound as she paced. Her intention was simple: get into the hotel. A faint smile graced her lips, for she knew it would not take much effort. Her right foot was lifted then firmly placed on the first stair. Effortlessly Akira ascended the staircase, hand clasped down on a brief case.
She knew the case was not needed, but she only desired to toy. Twisting minds was her game and she would play to the fullest extent. The woman came to a halt on the plant form. Once she peered straight ahead now became locked on the male. His face twisted to a basic smile -- which she saw right through his charade -- as he let out a dry (hardly believable) chipper tone,"Welcome. Please enjoy your stay, Miss..."
His words drew off. His expression dramatically altered. Jaw gaped open, Akira took this opportunity speak up. "Dear boy, you shouldn't keep that mouth open." Orbs locked each other, land fighting the sea. The left hand, free from the case, caressed his cheek. A giggle, coaxed with pure venom, was exhaled. "Unless you want an Yanma flying into that mouth~"
With that the hand ghosted away. As if she were a phantom, the woman trudged onward. The door man, now in distraught, could only stare as the woman slipped to the counters. The same left pale hand jetted outward, ringing the bell with ease. One bellboy fluently responded. His own sea-green eyes sparkled -- his act still so shallow -- as his own tone released. "Hello, Miss. Are you here for a reservation? Or are you already on the list."
"Takara," the reply came swift and cool. Thin, feminine, digits ran along the bell as the male began swifting through paperworks. Lips pressed outward, mocking a pout, as the lieutenant received a small 'tsk' from the boy.
He sighed."I'm sorry, Miss, you're not in our reservations. Would you like too -"
"Takara." With that, the male's face puffed into aggravation. A protest was to begin when another bellboy scurried over. With a dim stutter to his voice, he spoke."S-she called last night. I didn't mark her. I-I'll t-take her too he-her room, S-sir."
A scuff was formed."Rookie."
The key was tossed to the new boy. Muttering a thin 'thank you' he scurried on off. Akira swiftly trotted after. Turning down the never ending marble hallway, the two remained silent. Once out of earshot, the lieutenant's voice echoed off the corridors; in a notch that rivaled a whisper. "You're acting has improved, Nicolas."
"T-thank you, Lieutenant." the petite Pravus grunt replied, in a hushed whisper, allowing his face to flush. Though not seeing his voice, the woman slipped a famous sinister ghost of a smirk.
"If I were some imbecile, I would have believed it." The boys hopes instantly crushed. Allowing the lieutenant a rash victory. Soon both figures came to an blunt halt. Their destination was beyond the elevators' doors. The undercover Pravus agent pressed the button, watching as the red arrow light up.
As Nick went to speak up, Akira's glare hushed him. His expression ushered a confusion look. With a smile, the lieutenant's words spoke up, holding an innocent bystander tone."Sir, you pressed the down arrow." A sugar coated laugh. "I believe my room, B32, is on the second floor."
The grunt caught on. Someone was coming in their direction. Playing his own act, he let out a weak."Ah! My apologizes Miss! Man, I'm ruining your vacation.."
"You will know me by the hate I swear..." - Otep; "Ghost Flowers" Inspired by the door boy recognizing her (through NPC) as someone he once knew or something like that. I donno, this could also foreshadow Cody's reaction AFTER the thread. xD

So sorry for this one. I'm at a friend's house and just wanted to get it out. A slender silhouette made its way through the glorious hallways of the Mirage Hotel. Unlike many of the other visitors, the male wasn’t dressed in finer clothing. He actually just wore a simple black sweat jacket and a pair of his favorite faded, ripped jeans. Beside him was a large Charizard, Blaze, who flapped his great wings eagerly as the two walked around aimlessly throughout the building in search of something fun to do. The male, who was known to be Cody was really only at the hotel to visit his sister and parents who had happened to be in the area for a short visit, but now that they had left, Cody was left alone.
Having already checked every possible activity the hotel was hosting and finding none of them even somewhat amusing, Cody was finding it rather difficult to decide what options were still left open. He could always pretend to be drunk down at the bar, but why do that when they serve alcohol? It wasn’t like the Ranger base where he could easily wreak havoc to those who do not generally wish for it to be thrust upon him, because here most of the people were Pravus, which meant he had to keep a low profile; if something went wrong and he was revealed, Cody knew he would be eaten alive -- literally.
“What do you want to do?” Cody asked while his eyes wandered around the building.
“I don’t know what do you wanna do?” Blaze retorted.
“You just answered with another question. You can’t do that, Blaze. That doesn’t work! I asked you what you wanted to do -- you can’t say I don’t know what do you want to do. It doesn’t -- it just doesn’t work that way!” Cody complained, a smirk lining his lips.
“Well…I don’t know what I want to do,” Blaze replied, only to fold his arms across his chest.
Cody grumbled and continued to walk down the hallway. All around him people seemed to be having more fun than he was was right about now, which wasn't acceptable, not in the least. There had to be something to do in a place so big -- and then it hit him. Well, not literally, but mentally it hit him. There, in the far corner of the main entrance, near a small desk was a bellboy with a luggage cart.
Bingo! Operation 'Wheely wheely' is a go!
Blaze didn't even have to be told what Cody was thinking, because he was already a few giant steps ahead of him and had grabbed onto the chrome-finish poles which were place strategically so the bellboy's could easily move around the usually heavy luggage. Cody quickly and stealthily sprinted over to the cart, rolling around bushes and dodging people from seeing him all the while. He then hopped on board, ready to start his new scene.
Hello. This is Cheif Ronaldson reporting for take off. Operation 'Wheely wheely' is commencing in three...two...one --
"Now, Blaze!" Cody shouted.
The fire Pokemon's head swiveled and with a great whoosh of the wings, he took flight and pushed the cart with Cody on top out of the entrance and down the hallways of the building. Various different looking people ran out of their rooms, yelling and cursing in fear, while others just stared in obvious confusion. It was understandable, though, because not everyday does one see an adult, a Charizard and a luggage cart thundering down the hallways.
While lost in their new, crazy, euphoric bliss, Blaze and Cody completely lost track of where they were going and took a wrong sharp turn, only to come face to face with an open elevator. It was too late to stop, though -- a little too late, and the two, as well as the luggage cart, flew straight into the agape doors of the elevator. Cody didn't know if there was anyone inside, being that he was a little preoccupied with crashing into a wall, and when his body and Pokemon collided with the door, it was a wonder that nothing was broken.
Letting out an airy laugh, Cody took notice of the people inside -- one of them being a woman. "Heh...heh...heh. Yeah, it hurt when I fell from heaven..."
Cue cheesy smile. [/blockquote]

No, don't be! It made me giggle! =D Too bad mine is horrible. D= And Akira...does she really have a clue ahead of time? -gasp- That's revealed in the post! Don't judge right away! XD (Oh, and Akira will be LOADS more fun if she and Bug met)
Her hand had to hush Nicolas as he was going to speak again. With the arm still hanging in the air, fingers spread for a 'high five', Akira could only listen. Conversations bounced in every direction, raging of pitches of hush to near screams. Both were clear, as of right now, from any disruptions. In which, with an annoyed sigh, the lieutenant's gaze hit the grunts. Though her lips were expressing a smile, her pools suggested other wise. As if speaking through her teeth, she replied.
"Nicolas, step out of the elevator." With a clasped hand on the brief case, Akira swiftly left the elevator, allowing the grunt in disarray. His lips became agape, as the stare harden."Don't defy, just listen. Let the elevator run its coarse. Then press the "up" button -- oh just in case you're slow--" her hand extending, to form an example, by pointing at the said button. "--that's what I desire you to push, got it?" With a nod, Akira's expression softened ever slightly.
Both Pravus members could only observe the metal doors close and descended. Once more Akira was on high alert. Yes, normally people would wonder on pass, not caring to what she was doing. Even though all was deemed as 'safe', the lieutenant could -- she couldn't explain how -- feel it within her bones. Or could she? Something -- just something -- was going to come crashing into her world. Or was it? A scoff, as Akira could only chuckle at her own, pathetic, worries aside.
Nicolas' own thoughts came to wonder about the woman beside him. His growl came, impatient as he was, with having to wait for another elevator. Worse then that; it was caused out of the woman's frantic mind! His fist clenched -- as his teeth gridded together -- with dealing with such things. The male's orbs could only boar themselves on the feminine's blond hair.
⌈You know, you should lay such looks off of my Master.⌋ A warning was tore from 'lips' of a Vulpix. The male could only find himself jumping from sheer fright. Gin's own, dark, eyes flashed dangerously at the sudden jerk. ⌈Unless you desire third degrees worth of burns.⌋ A gulp was an answer that was received. The Vulpix allowed a smug victory cross her features as she held her head up with pride. Apparently, Akira wasn't the only one whom enjoys a simple victory.
"Nicolas, you shouldn't mess with superiors," came Akira's threat, coaxed with a heavy layer of venom. A simple turn was all enough to see her iced over glare. Daggers would have shattered anyone's defensives. Nicolas instantly disregarded any smart comment he was ready to dish out. With the protests whipped, Akira gave her attention strictly do the elevator. Sure enough, the doors jetted open. Ready, it was, to be boarded. Like a panther, stalking its prey, she entered the metal box. Once Nicolas entered, Akira bluntly ordered."Press the up button. I'm going to the room."
Nicolas arched a brow. When he went to usher his words, he fell silence. Akira had knelt down picking Gin up and cuddling the fire Pokemon in her arms. Like a mother handling her newborn, Akira sifted Gin gently in between her arms. Cuddling the warm, fuzzy, Vulpix Akira's gaze hit Nicolas. Her lips dripped into a frown then parted."Well? Press the button..." a reluctant sigh,"Please, if you really need to hear that word in order to work."
He went to question her, only to be silenced by a scream echoing the halls. The male tensed. Had this what the lieutenant foresaw? Was she a mind reader? No, no, not at all close -- truth be told, she never even predicted anyone's arrival!! In fact, Akira wanted to ditch her luggage off in the first place -- bringing a suite case into a casino would only be hassle. An actress had to play her part, after all. Being Akira, that never means coming out and admitting; "I want to drop this case off". Oh no, she prefers building the suspense up. It was, after all, how she got her kicks.
Though, with the blinking of crystal blue eyes, appeared as if another wanted to use the elevator. Er, not use...but more along the lines of; wanted to crash. Akira could only stare, perhaps baffled?, at the scene before here. There (now) sat a man, silver-ish white hair in front of her. Within seconds, his focus was back. A quick flash of her -- did she see green? -- before a cheesy smile cross the lips. A laugh, following his statement made the lieutenant fall silent.
Yeah...RIGHT. Got an ego, now, don't you...boy?
The actress was in place, holding her hand out (to offer the man aid?), she flashed her warm smile. Adding in a sugar coated laugh,"My, my. Didn't you have a stumble?" Gin squirmed in the lieutenant's other arm, checking if any possibility of falling.
Nicolas could only whimper. He was holding his toe, silently cursing of the fact his toe had been ran over. With a dim glance, Akira flashed a worried look,"Oh, my." A weak smile."It seems as if it got your toe." Nicolas gave a 'no duh' gaze and muttered an inaudible reply. A pout came from the woman, as she focused on the new male. "He's alright. Nickie has had worse." One last smile. "May I ask, did you enjoy your...ride?"

[Your post wasn't horrible...Mine is! XD I like Cody in this one, though. Oh, and yes! Bug and Akira have to thread. I'm surprised so many people wanna thread with him already.] Not good. No, not good. Yowch, something’s throbbing. I can’t tell…is that -- is that my head?; maybe it’s my brain, feels like it. Ah…Blackout, I can feel it coming! Oh no, blackouts are, well, black -- not white. Meh? Heaven? They want their -- uh -- angel back? I was just kiddingggg! Nnngg, not giving into the white light. Nope. I’ll fight it. Cody’s thoughts whirled around in his aching head as he laid belly up, his heart pounding fiercely within his chest as he adjusted to what just happened. His eyes were shut tightly, as if fearing to be opened. Cody could feel the presences around him, but they were all too far away as he drifted in and out of unconsciousness.
A snort echoed around the room, Cody knew it to be Blaze. His hands roamed along the floor around him, groping around for some form of reassurance that he was still, in fact, alive. Something burned as it came in contact with his own cold hand: skin? A hand maybe? A voice then followed, snapping Cody from his dreamy state. His eyes flickered open once again, taking in the sight around him: there was a woman, definitely older than he, a man, a Vulpix and his own Charizard surrounding him. So maybe he wasn’t dead, but these were Pravus -- he could just tell. The way the woman spoke to him also seemed a bit too saccharine, so he was on alert until further notice.
“Yeah...hm. Definitely a bad stumble,” Cody replied, pulling his hand away from hers. Blaze’s head jerked towards their only possibility for escape.
“Might be getting to the hospital wing right about now. Ya know, I blacked out over there.” Cody pointed to where everything had went black, only to make his way towards Blaze. “We’ll be going now, kind people…” Blaze muttered, a ring of smoke flaring around his nostrils. The Pokemon was on edge and Cody didn’t blame him for it; he, too, was on edge. Something told him that fraternizing with the enemy -- a much stronger enemy at that -- wasn’t the smartest idea.
“Don’t mind Cody here, he’s a bit slighted in the head…” Blaze lowered his voice to a whisper, “But we don’t like to point that out about him.”
Cody nodded, quickly taking his role as a weak-minded man. “Operation ‘Wheely Wheely’ failed, went ablaze! Aye!” He saluted, then stomped his foot against the ground.
“See. He’s not the brightest bulb out there,” Blaze spat icily, making it clear his defenses were up. “Yupp, yupp. Adios, beautiful lady!” Cody called out, stumbling towards the door.
As he made his way out, something hooked onto his ID tag secured around his belt loop. A loud rip was heard, followed by the jangle of his chain falling to the ground. Shitaki mushrooms! There, splayed out on the floor for everyone to see, was Cody’s Ranger ID. If he wasn’t dead before, he was so dead now. He could see the newspaper headline now: Ranger Idiot Killed In Elevator. It would be blown up all around, especially in the Pravus HQ. Sure, they liked to be discreet about their work, but that didn’t mean they wouldn’t take a laugh out of him dying.
“My ride was…good? I don’t know what else I could say, my memory is sort of…fading…?”
He had to do something, had to change the atmosphere. So he dropped to his knees, placed the back of his hand against his pulsating head. He was never any good at acting, not at all, but he needed a distraction so Blaze could grab the ID and act like nothing had even happened. He let his eyes roll to the back of his head and fell over onto his side.
Blaze snatched the ID up off the floor, then looked to Cody’s direction with a grave expression plastered across his features. “Miss, you need to help me take him to go get help! He might have a concussion…” Crap! Blaze totally sucked at acting the role of a distressed Pokemon.
One of Cody’s eyes opened as he peeked up at Akira through his long lashes. “…Don’t eat me!”
“Nice one, Cody. Real nice…”
This wasn’t good, he’d basically signed his death wish -- Akira was going to deliver it.

I didn't forget! I'm playing catch-up!! I think this is a horrible post because of it! x_x Man...I never really adventured Akira's darker half before... xD Kinda scary, right now, for me.
Suspense drew into the atmosphere as the woman could only wait. Thoughts had drew the younger male into his own world. The lieutenant felt a faint ring of annoyance rush her veins. What was this young male, to instantly create a rush. Her lips curled, arched downward, as her mind processed a possible enemy.
Sprawling out the boy had continued to lay. Akira let out a faint, irritated, sigh. Idly she eyed the lower ranking male (Nicolas), whom had finally settled his earlier pain. Despite recently joining, he had already picked up signals from upper ranks. Apparently he had caught onto the threat as well.
The Charizard's snort brought both members to heighten awareness. Akira could only could observe the large Pokemon, stiff much like a statue. Just as suddenly as the warmth came, it faded. The ocean-like pools took a sudden gaze at her hand. Once full, helping another (in a sense) was now empty. Hollow. Her eyelids began to lower, not showing (facial expression wise) her confusion for a male having a soft touch.
Akira's Vulpix squirmed in her free arm, an attempt to allow her master to snap back. Which seceded. As Cody's words flew out of his mouth, Akira instantly focused. She had to admit, his pain had entertained her. Cruel as it was to admit...she couldn't help but to enjoy it. However, his pain wasn't cause of her - quite a let down, there, for Akira. Ah, well, if he was an enemy - perhaps it my come by her hand? But...
"Yes, indeed," She didn't argue. The woman let her lips force back a smirk daring to escape. "Why, yes...blacking out." A quick gaze to Blaze. "Would have been bad, for this male." Attention drew on the daze-breaking male. "Perhaps, a hospital is required..."
Nicolas tensed. Had the superior lost it? What if they were enemies! He couldn't stand for it. "Mi-Miss...you shouldn't worry. I'll take care of i-"
"There will be no need." A small smile."For the brightest bulbs always wither away quickly..." Nicolas felt taken back. His own superior - ignoring him and talking to the buffoon whom instantly saluted?!
Quite a tense one, you are~ Her own eyes traveled to Blaze. Her lips held their smile. Guess it comes, naturally, for being in enemy territory~
With ears picking up the puttering noise, Gin's dark orbs instantly gazed downward. The fur instantly shot up, the small fire type tensing. Small canines were revealed as the tiny fox Pokemon released a growl. Suddenly, the muscles spasmed (again) as something soft caressed the velvet-like fur. Gin could only feel her fur being ruffled, realizing her master was petting her. Wait...petting!?
⌈M-Master..! They're..!⌋ The stroking halted. As if readying her master's mind, Gin instantly caught on.
The show was amusing. Akira only desired to see the next part. As if on cue, the male - dubbed as "Cody" - dropped to his knees. Akira knelt down, herself, as if to play along. "Oh, you poor dear.." words soft, though off tune - as if the user allowed it to happen.
And now... As her muse concluded, she felt the vibrations of the Charizard picking up the ID. She stood, elegantly and allowed her vision to Nicolas (whom still shocked at her actions - though she could take them out right now!). Hearing the pleas, Akira spoke up;
"Go on, then..." Nicolas shot up, spatting out;
"LIE--"
A glare silenced him. Instantly hands went limp (releasing the Vulpix on the tiled, cold, floor) as Akira hissed. "Cut the pathetic act." A twitch of her muscles allowed the woman to attempt to pin the male's hands. If she would get his hands, she'd twist her foot and apply more pressure. In which, would create a sinister, sadistic, smirk. All senses of caring would be ripped away, allowing Akira full accuses to her darken half soul.
The clear eyes were hollow - all color lost - as the owner found herself holding little care. With all of he orbs light dissipated, her words came out rivaling a child's nightmare. "Eat you?" A dark hearted chuckle. "My dear, I wouldn't dream of such a barbaric thing - unlike you rangers, apparently."
"Nicolas," the bark was sent in play. The boy jerked, and weakly released a 'yes?' - which came the next order."Stay back, you'll only get in the way."
Gin could only keep and eye on Blaze. Even though fire type moves would not do damage - the least she could do was keep a look out. Then, words came out that no one expected of the lieutenant; The smirk grew with each passing second."I was - at first - going to eliminate you, however-" the orbs flashed with interest."-now I'm having some fun."
"Now then," Iced over words came out in a spat."What do we suppose we do, here?"
As if the minds were decided...

Okay. So not gonna lie, this post was so much fun to write. I've never had any conflict threads with Cody, and I'm enjoying it...So you can have Akira and him duke it out if you really wish. :3 I'm having fun now, now that I thought of a way this thread could go.
Cody felt all his synapses firing like a live-wire. The atmosphere had went from extremely awkward to dangerous in just a spare few seconds. If he could, he’d have already pulled himself onto his Charizard, took off and flew out of the building creating a scene behind him, but if the building was filled with Pravus, which it was, he’d immediately be shot down by another much stronger Pokemon. Rangers were only so strong; actually, they were the underdogs, undermined because of their unusual and novel appearance. Up until they had emerged, Pravus were the leading power -- even if discreet ones at that -- and they were furious, he could tell. He didn’t need to look into Akira’s eyes to see that, either, it was clear in the way she presented herself after he’d stumbled in.
His act had failed, they had known from his first move that he was an enemy intruder on their glorious hotel’s landscaping, in which they roamed without a care in the world. Jerk-offs, thinking they can scare people off by shoving their prim noses in the air. Psht. How about I shove my fist down their throats and show them the Ranger’s true power? Either that or I’ll give them the ol’ one two! Cody thought, nostrils flaring involuntarily. If only he could just do what his thoughts coaxed him into just imagining he’d have already escaped, but nothing ever went as planned, nor as he wished. He was stuck in a sticky situation, surrounded by two clearly stronger trainers than he; as a pretty inexperienced trainer as it is, he was staring death in the face.
Blaze’s wing enveloped him, drawing him back into the Pokemon’s light chest. Cody shuddered at the sudden cold air in comparison to the heated air shrouding them in a thick, hazy blanket -- he was safe, if even for a few moments. However, the safe haven was disrupted when Akira gripped both of his hands, clearly catching him off guard. Blaze howled furiously, fire forming in the pit of his throat for all to see. Cody’s eyes widened at the sight, knowing fully well what would have happened if he’d allowed his anger to singe the elevator.
“Don’t! Blaze, no!” Cody shouted, struggling irately in Akira’s grasp. Damn me for not working out more like Furoi said I should…Damn me to hell! his mind subconscious shouted at him, irritable and stern. “Let me go you -- y-you wench! I swear to god, if you don‘t let me go I will go against all I believe in treating woman respectfully and allow Blaze to do whatever he wishes with your soon-to-be carcass!” Cody demanded, enraged.
Plumes drifted from Blaze’s nostrils as he tried his best to keep his rage from boiling over and incinerating everything in the room around him. He could imagine burning Akira down until she was just ash and bones, smirking as he plucked out the remains of his dinner with one of her teeth. The usual civil and fearful beast was still given innate traits such as a uncanny temper and overprotective watchfulness towards his trainer -- when given a reason, of course.
“Give me the word and I’ll do it,” Blaze snapped and stomped over towards Nicholas, who at the point, looked more frightened than a Buneary stuck out in the cold. “Can I at least use this one as a play toy, though?” A wink signaled to Cody that Blaze was thinking of something, hopefully something that would save his ass from an impending doom.
“Go ahead, Blaze. Just make sure the evidence is taken care of…” Cody’s eyes gleamed up at Akira, as if almost trying to instigate her. But then she spoke, and all thoughts were wiped from Cody’s consciousness. Suddenly all was lost -- all of his thoughts at least -- and he was left in his own cold, dark, lonely abyss; and it all happened when she looked in his eyes.
He was afraid of a girl -- no, not just any girl: this girl. She was exactly that of something in a nightmare, her voice rivaling just that as well. Blaze took note of the evident fear in his trainer’s eyes as well, a dark pitiful plea conveyed by his already soft eyes. Messing around with Nicholas had been erased from his mind, all he thought of now was Cody’s wellbeing. He’d never been in a predicament such as this, nor did he ever wish to see him in one. If only the two hadn’t traveled to visit Cody’s parents…if…only.
“Please…” Came Cody’s whispered prayer. “I never meant any harm…” He sounded like a wimp, a downright wimp, and did he care? No. He wished to leave the hotel with all his entrails inside his body, along with legs and arms attached. “I was just visiting my parents. You’ve got parents, right? Wouldn’t you want to see them after not seeing them for a while?” Cody laughed half-heartedly, trying to mitigate a bit of the tension. His efforts had, up to this point, went with no avail -- what were the odds it would be any different now?
“If you touch a hair on Cody’s head, I swear…” Blaze’s clawed finger probed away near the peak of Nicholas’ chest, smirking at the throbbing of his heart inside its ribbed cage. “Your little friend here will never see his next paycheck.” Oh yes, he was serious. Blaze, who if not put in danger, would be scared right about now really was preparing himself to plunge his claws right into the man’s chest -- to inevitably to kill him, nevertheless.
Cody’s struggling increased at his Charizard’s warning, not entirely wishing for someone to be slain inside an elevator. He knew he could simply open up his mouth to order his Pokemon to draw his claw away from the man’s chest, but he couldn’t find it in himself to do so. His merciless throbbing of his heart weakened him, leaving him in the dust -- more than he already was -- as well as voiceless before the two Pravus. However, there was something more -- a want. Cody’s thoughts whirled around even more rapidly, bringing him to a dizzying height. It was all clear, if not even to himself: he wanted Blaze to intervene, he wanted to bring pain upon to the ones who’ve killed so many time and time again.
In atonement for their sins, he wanted them to die. All of them.

This post...clearly proves to how much Akira lacks trust (and it's horrible too! Dx It's like a booooook, and a bad one at that!) Silence had fallen with the male's spat. The facial expression that held no emotion, suddenly revealed amusement. The lips released a giggle (that somehow resembled a shrill)."Wench? Respectful?" A pause, to allow fear to sink in. Finally, the woman knelt down."Oh, no, you see that's not how it works. If you were truly respectful-"
Her lips brushed the outer shell of his ear, with venom she whispered."-you wouldn't have stooped so low to disgrace a woman due to pure rage." A sly chuckle escaped her lips, allowing the heat of her breath dance against Cody's ear.
Gin kept her own thoughts at bay. All loyalty was pressed to Akira - as it should be for any Pokemon, to her rules - but this was pushing her to the edge. Her fur stood straight up, own thoughts gone astray. This was not the place for any jokes, any toys and yet... A shake of her head, fur flying slightly, as the Vulpix gazed at Blaze.
Fire blazed in the orbs, challenging such thoughts of the other fire Pokemon. If he imposed threat to her Master, she'd impose back to his. If he could take a life, she'd make sure the same price was to be pained. Yet, the Vulpix felt a sneering attitude hit her. The elevator gave Akira an advantage - yet it received the disadvantage all in the same. With such words being said; Gin had relaxed with Akira being a sudden threat.
Another dry laugh graced the lieutenant's lips. The threat was quite adorable. Pulling her head back, her gaze was on the Chizard. Unfortunately, it also landed on the trash that called himself a Pravus member.
Nicolas could only cower when spine wrenching words sprang forth from the lieutenant's lips.
"Go on, then, not like the trash is useful."
The male's knees continued their shaking, losing the war to gravity with each passing second. Once the smug male could only look up to the woman; instantly it was shattered before her eyes.
"Lieutenant...h-h-" words fumbled over forming tears."H-How I -I t-t--"
"Trusted me. Loyalty was your weak spot." The orbs gazed past all the souls in the room. As if the lieutenant was struck with a thought."No, you never gave loyalty toward me. Only admiration..."
The orbs fluttered shut, as the lieutenant heard ruffling from Nicolas' bellboy outfit. Finally, she spoke up. "That, was your last lesson from me...Nicolas." With no pitch changes, no sign of faltering, she spoke on."That your allies - no matter who you are - can leave you on the battlefield. That is when shattering is at its peak..."
Her attention withdrew from the male and straight to Cody. His pleas echoed into the small corridor, due to the ushering silence that plagued them. A small light sparkled in the cold orbs. Family. She had not seen hers in years, much apparent to the begging male in her grasp. Her mother, soft and welcoming. The contest crazed - where she received her thrill for the center of attention. Her father, whom already tucked them in at night...
...them. The memory produced a twelve year old image of her brother. My, where could he have gone at in all these years? What woul...
A laugh was let lose, springing in the air unexpectedly."Family? I haven't seen them in years!" The echo of the laugh bounced off of one last, metal, beam."I suppose...I could release you, for you're no use to me. Trying to guilt me with family...a slick move, use it on other members and it'll get you killed. However!"
Utter silence.
"Before I allow you to leave," A shrill was released."I should state this, to which you may agree."
"Many have stated; the worse kind of monster are those whom smile and even the sheer thought of killing." A moment later, the lips graced a wicked smile, rivaling the Cheshire Cat himself.. Once more, a chilling tone was released."I'm smiling, however my thoughts have not processed such an act."
The thin, pale, digits caressed the boy's cheek. The eyes could but only reflect - rivaling mirrors themselves - Cody's current position. The fingers gripped the chin, forcing the male's head to stare at her. Calmly, yet with a cool vibe, she let her words flow out;
"Yet, here's my definition on what a true monster is." Fear fell thickly into the air, which rivaled poison to outsiders. Since, oddly enough, the atmosphere was so threating that others (Pravus and not alike) diverted to abandon the area. Her fingers adjusted, once more, holding their cool grasp; though, oddly enough, having a soft touch. The woman let her head cock to the right, orbs boring down on the pathetic scene below.
"A real monster is one whom can stare right at you," An inhale of oxygen, allowing words to filter and die."With eyes that shimmer with love and compassion," The eyelids lowered, the darken irises holding their danger."And yet, all be a lie. In other words..."
"In other words; the worst form of a monster is those whom mastered the emotions the door ways to the soul - the truth lies just by a mere glance."
Akira felt herself drawing her hand away, allowing her foot to slide on back from the male. Her muscles flinched, allowing the woman to stand shortly after. A monster she spoke of was an illusionist. The gateway to the soul -- the eyes -- gave so much away. For those whom taught themselves to hide behind false eye shines, expression, and so forth. To Akira; Those who can control their eyes, control another's mind. A perfect illusionist foreplay, hardly does it fail.
Little did she care to any pain the other Pravus member may endured. The lacking of trust destroys people, causing pain and belief their own life isn't worth it anymore.
"Get up." The bark was thrown at Cody."Run to your Rangers." The smile that had faded was still gone; vanished like the eye's colors."Tell them that one woman had you cower in fear. Run to your family, your girl, whoever you may have in your life. Embrace them, for you are lucky today; you better thank me too. Not with an thank you here, but thank me with every breath you take."
"For Pravus, I'd typically eliminate the pest..." Words drew off, as the woman's tongue clicked off the top of her teeth.
"Though here, it's my choice. It's your choice too," The woman held up a Pokeball, with drawling the fox-like form. Already, she knew the Vulpix wouldn't speak out against her wishes - for the lieutenant had made her choice; thus the Pokemon would obey. Her eyes narrowed, focusing on the large Pokemon (Blaze) while finishing."Peace or annihilation. Which do you choose, Ranger?"
A choice. Peace; to leave and warn others about Pravus. Or Annihilation; to risk losing his life, losing his closest companions - family or not. Though unlike Akira, she let Cody take this chance....
... .. . Who said she wasn't yanking the chain to create fear? Death was not the only way to shake up the enemy after all.... ... .. . Possibly plots are meant to be kept a secret now...heh. Then again, who says I'm plotting now? Perhaps this is a lie. Perhaps this is the truth. Shall you trust my judgment or not? Heh, go on, try me~
"It's your choice, your choice, your choice, your choice, Peace or annihilation" - A Perfect Circle; "Annihilation"

Cody had hoped he would have more to work with after Akira spoke, while she instead left him even all the more mystified as to what he could possibly do to put a dent on her little show. Yes. He’d caught onto it just a few moments prior to his insults aimed at the older woman. She took them with utmost distaste, as well as allowed them to fuel her fire all the more. However, when Cody looked up to marvel at her face once again, no emotion was present. Her eyes, lips and just general appearance was nothing more than a vacant canvas. It seemed as though she had been broken by his words, if even just for a moment, and it was just a moment. Akira’s lips parted as a shrill-like laugh left them. He had spoken too soon and was once again startled into a vulnerable state in which just anything could harm him at any given moment.
Akira was like a fox: sly, sneaky, lithe -- the devil’s incarnate even. Of course he wouldn’t assume as much, being that he didn’t truly know her, but from what she was emanating…devil’s incarnate suited her best out of the long strain of other things he could title her as, some of which never to be used to describe a woman. The way she looked at him was that of a Fearow: capable of making people cringe at the sight and recoil. Never before -- never before had he been so terrified, so petrified of a woman. He had always been afraid of Pravus, yes, given that his burn scars were given by one’s Pokemon, just never a woman.
He wondered if it was even Akira she feared -- if it was the death she could bring upon him before his time. After all, she did have the power of Pravus behind her, and by the looks of her she was that of a higher status one. Killing to them was something they were accustomed to, even if behind closed doors. For the most part Cody knew they acted in the dark, lone parts of Remoor where not many would notice a disturbance, save for right now…Akira could do whatever she wanted, Pravus were all around her. Plus, there were others just waiting for a bit of action. At least that’s what he was taught back at the HQ.
“You heard her, Blaze,” Cody commented through gritted teeth. “Have fun. Make do with what you’ve been given…”
Blaze edged closer to Nicholas, peered into his soul with his large eyes. His jaws parted, teeth glinted in the light, only to close at the sound of Akira’s voice within the elevator. He snarled and whipped his head in the woman’s direction, angered by her disturbance. He was just about to have fun, even if he was only planning of lifting the man to his feet and pulling him into a closet where he would have tied him down to a chair or something and left him for dead. No, Blaze would never truly eat or dismember someone unless they were actually inflicting pain upon Cody. He couldn’t even attack Akira with that being said; she had eased up on Cody just moments before.
Cody lowered his eyes at the two Pravus members, intrigued by what they were speaking about. Akira hit everything dead on about false allies, surprisingly. Cody knew himself that there was always the chance that, if he was fighting alongside one of his Ranger allies and a pressing situation where both lives were at stake, he would be left in the dust, cowering on the battlefield while struggling against his approaching last breath. It never really even touched his thoughts that his friends could eventually turn on him, though with the unknowing help from Akira he saw clearly. It was a depressing thought, no matter how true it was.
Cody’s attention then shifted towards his own wellbeing as Akira’s orbs darted back in his direction. He looked at her for a moment, saw something flicker past her orbs -- or at least he thought he did. There was a chance his imagination could have been playing with him again. He shuddered next as Akira laughed once again, obviously warning him wasn’t something she would be doing any time soon. His heart was taking a toll due to her random outbursts, nevertheless, skipping whenever she unexpectedly began one.
“Y-you’re going to l-let me go…” She stopped him with a proposition. He nodded fervently, just about ready to do anything for her right now, even if it involved dancing around on one foot while rubbing his stomach or something -- he just wanted to run back to the Ranger base, wanted to be able to see the sun rise if for even just one more time. He had so much to live for back home: his family, his sister(Calista), his beloved Furoi, his best friend Skie, his Pokemon(Rocket, Vice and even Blaze) and so many more. If he were to mess up like he had today once again, he might not be able to truly value his life as he should have…
…his folly had lead to his downfall.
After hearing what Akira had to say, he had a new sense of what a monster was. Instead of it being someone who would smile at the thought of death, Akira referred to one as an illusionist -- as one who could play with someone’s emotions by portrayal of their own through deceiving eyes. There was something about what she was saying that clicked in his mind, shifted a gear in his twisting and turning thoughts that refused to stop their movement in the catacombs of his mind…A hidden meaning, he felt. Not being accustomed to thinking this way, Cody brushed it off and tugged on his Charizard’s arm, dipped his head and walked out of the elevator.
Click. The way Akira had been toying with his head, making him think he was going to meet his death, as well as shifting everything he had said around in order to make him fear her -- it all fit. She was the master illusionist, the same monster she had articulated to him, if even she didn’t notice it. A new fear set in the pit of his stomach, churning inside him as he began struggling to keep the world from falling beneath him. Beneath her eyes was the truth…If only he could even begin to decipher them.
Cody glanced over his shoulder, eyes fixated on her face -- no. On her eyes. “I agree with what you said…Only because I have met that illusionist…,” his voice trailed off into an icy hiss. “That monster.”
[Hn. Not sure if I like this. XD]

Way better than any of my posts. Dx Which this one is horrible too...
"Of course, that is what I said I'd do. Letting you go free and all." Digits ran along the smooth Pokeball. The thin, index, finger searched for the bulging white circle. Said finger pressed the white round circle pushed inward and the ball contracted. The size was reduced, allowing the index and middle finger to hold the said sphere. Akira's hand (holding the ball) made contact with her belt.
The hand withdrew from the belt, allowing the hands to be free. Though it would appear (at this point in time) Akira was gazing past everyone. Hands limp at her side, she dimly mused about why she'd allow an enemy walk on free. Thoughts quickly corrected that he would not walk free - even if he physically did. Something would always linger on him; whether created by her or not.
Cody had began tugging at his Chizard's arm. Nicolas came not far from both figures, lost in his own world. His complexion had been drained of color; eyes ghosting over with a haze. As Akira arched her head - allowing blond and blue strands to dance - she observed faint, shimmering, transparent-looking rims gracing the edges of his eyes. The lieutenant's eyelashes clasped together and a sigh was forced out. My, he has so much to learn.
A breeze made Akira open her eyes. That said breeze was the result of both, the Chizard and Cody, making their exit. Once the figures were clear of the doors, Akira forced her legs into motion. Only did her shoes click filter away once the woman stood before the private.
His fuzzy gaze was lifted up. Before him lingered a woman - no, monster behind the smiles. Rumors from the other grunts had spoken of a Pravus member whom brought fear. How could he have scoffed them off - only to think they were referring to the Administrators (I mean, who wouldn't be afraid of THEM)? How could he have not seen it? The rumors spoke of a soft gaze that suddenly revealed the truth below.
A whimper had been forced out. The throat felt as if it were raw, scratchy with each breath. Nicolas' hiccuped as a few tears mixed with sweat. The eyelids grew closer together while eyebrows arched down. A hoarse tone;
"G-going to k-kill me yourself?" Another hiccup. The male scooted away, making contact with he cold metal. His body couldn't compress the shudder - both from Akira and the metal.
"No." Words were held soft, resembling a mother lullabying her child to sleep. Akira's right hand was extended out, awaiting for Nicolas to accept. "Stand up. Hold some pride for your team."
.... ... .. . Swap! . .. ... ....
The sound of flesh making contact with flesh echoed into the elevator. Nicolas' harsh breathes rang soon afterward, his expression upset. Much like being cornered like a wild Pokemon, Nicolas had lashed out. The lashing out resulting into the slapping of Akira's wrist away. With such actions, he instantly retracted. He...he hit a superior officer. Like a punished child, he went to spat out an apology - but instead;
"Leave me alone, lieutenant! I trusted you! And y-y," words faltering, as the broken male felt himself becoming upset."Y-You did what you did..! And now, you EXPECT me to let you HELP ME!?"
Akira, whom held a solemn appearance, felt her lips spread into a smile. It was as if she was proud to see her hand be forced away. Her eyes darted to the same hand, watching it holding its place in the air - still. Words ushered,"Good for you, Nicolas. Though you're still not out of the woods..."
Once her arm went limp, she stealthily ventured to the elevator's buttons. That is when Cody's and her locked eyes. Her playful smile graced her lip, figuring he had finally understood her lines. Quick, he was, and she liked it. Perhaps, he'd be a fun game in the future...
"That you have met the monster," As if nothing had ever happened, the woman displayed her act of innocence. It was as if she were messing with him; visibly showing her (now) clear, shimmering, bright eyes.
With the shuddering male still in the compartment, Akira pressed the down arrowed button. As the elevator, metal, doors began to close Akira had one last action to play off. With an angelic smile - a shimmer to her pools - she spoke."I go by the name Akira Takara. Please entertain me another day."
Doors shut. The elevator began its decent. All too, the lieutenant giggling in a child-tone. My, how Rangers were such fun people....~
