The Player:
OOC Account: Green Age: 16 Activity Level: moderate Other Characters: N/A
Basic Character Information:
Name: Randi Ellen Stark . . . Alias: Ran Gender: Female Age: 21 Allegiance: Rogue Trainer for the moment… but things are complicated. Position: technician Species: Vaporeon Pokemorph Sexuality: Heterosexual
Hobbies: Likes: Dislikes:
Physical Appearance Information:
Hair Color: Ran inherited her father’s red hair, though it’s a bit pale to be truly called red. It’s more of a light orange-brown, and at the right angle it can even appear grey (to her chagrin). Eye Color: While Ran’s hair isn’t the color one might expect from a Vaporeon morph, her pale-to-transparent blue eyes give her away. And while Ran's eyes are a typical European shape, they're also large for their almond design: reflective, slightly wide-set with long lashes and stand out on her face. Height: 5'8" Build: Ran’s body is that of a definite athlete with a little too much muscle to be distinctly feminine. she loves her broad shoulders, but absolutely despises her legs and feet. Other Appearance Information: Ran Stark isn’t the most beautiful person on the planet, but she certainly is exotic. In addition to her pale eyes, hair, and skin, Ran has an oddly-colored birthmark that mark her as a natural-born Pokemorph: a ridged dark blue line down her spine that ends on her tailbone, branching out over her shoulder-blades in a webbed pattern. Because it is on her back, this mark is very rarely displayed to the public, and Ran does her best to keep it that way.
Ran is surprisingly tall at 5'8". She finds both absurd skinniness and obesity revolting and works hard to keep her weight at a comfortable not-too-thin-not-too-fat state, averaging around 128 pounds. She has never been feminine despite her curves, one of her biggest woes, as her shoulders are broad and her body simply too thick. As a traveler and intense trainer, Ran has to keep herself in shape, which began and later enforced her masculine image. She hates her legs, which, thanks to the muscle, are not thin and willowy as she'd like, but she does approve of her arms and flat stomach, which are devoid of flab and make her both look and feel quite strong. Ran is left-handed-- an inconvenience—but she’s working on becoming ambidextrous.
Personal Related Information:
Personality: Ran hates the idea of blending into a crowd, and she does her very best to set herself apart from the rest. Ran doesn’t exactly enjoy being around other people when she can help it; she keeps to herself and talks little, but when she does speak, she doesn’t mince her words. Ran abhors laziness and finds it the worse sin one can commit. She works hard, pushing her body-- sometimes a little too hard-- and runs well on a mere six hours of sleep a night. Ran loves all sports, although her favorite forms of exercise are long-distance running and high-intensity swimming. She refuses to be around people who sit on their butts and shovel their faces with food, nor can she stand giggly, air-headed people or public displays of affection. She likes being intimidating. Whether or not it's related, she also dislikes most sweet foods, though she does have a weakness for chocolate.
Around people, Ran's social skills have much to be desired. She has an unexplainable dislike of women, preferring to spend her time around men, and her sense of tact is sorely lacking. Ran is self-admittedly honest to the point of bluntness and often both intentionally and unintentionally rude. She has a beautiful sense of sarcasm and a dry wit. In addition, Ran absolutely hates being touched. Because of this, people are often turned off by her rough outer exterior, but she's gotten used to it. She’s incredibly stubborn and inflexible; even when she knows she’s wrong, sometimes she won’t admit it just as a point of pride. She’s not exactly a warm person, but she’s not without a heart, either: though she claims to dislike children, she has a soft spot for them that she does not have for adults.
Ran was born with the unfortunate personality disorder of obsessive compulsive disorder, also known as OCD. It is not terribly severe, but little things can irk her until she throws an almost hysterical fit. For example, everything around her has to be "balanced;" chairs around a table, for example, should be evenly spaced, and the people sitting in them should be arranged in a symmetrical pattern. Because of this, her Pokémon undergo a slightly more rigorous and bizarre training regiment than most, but it keeps them diligent. She hates it if people interrupt or ruin her daily routines. She also has a list of slightly eccentric fears, some stemming from her OCD, such as her fear of anything being "unbalanced" or out of order. She's afraid of losing all control of her muscles and has an embarrassing fear of clowns.
As a water Pokemorph, Ran loves being in and around anything wet; however, she has a desperate longing to be able to fly and wishes she had been born a Pidgeot morph instead. She likes to sit and watch flying Pokemon in the air, daydreaming that she can fly among them. It is the thing of which she is most embarrassed, and tells people she’s meditating or planning instead.
History: Henna’s and Aaron Stark’s first meeting was in interesting one, especially with knowledge of the final outcome. Henna was sunning by the side of a river, and Aaron simply thought he was catching himself a rare Glaceon when the Eeveelution turned into an angry woman demanding to know why the hell he was setting his Growlithe on her. Aaron, who as a Team Pravus member had only met genetically-engineered Pokemorphs, was pleased and excited to meet one naturally-born (no matter how cliché and cheesy it was that she was an Eeveelution). As they soon discovered, both were in the Pravus Navy (though separate squads) and began spending more and more time with each other. It was not long before the two were an item.
Ran Ellen was born on a blizzard night in December as Henna lay in the bathtub and cursed the high heavens. There had not been time to get her to the hospital when she'd gone into labor and sat pain-medicine-free while Aaron panicked and ran for help. However, he shouldn’t have bothered; by the time help arrived, Ran had, after a mercifully relatively short labor, arrived screaming into the world. An odd birthmark on her back marked her as a Pokemorph like her mother.
Perhaps it was the birth in the bathtub, or perhaps it was her father’s profession in the Team Pravus navy, but it came as no surprise to learn she would become a Vaporeon. Although Ran seemed to enjoy the water, she had difficulty transforming, and tended to get stuck in one form or another. Yet something, too, seemed to be lacking. From her childhood, she preferred to stare at the sky or study rather than join children in playing. The few times she did join in, it would usually end in a disaster of some sort. She decided she did not like being touched and kept herself isolated when possible. Henna worried there was something wrong with her daughter, but Aaron saw huge potential in her, and when she was old enough for her first Pokemon, he began training her with every intention to have her join Team Pravus. And indeed, when Ran was eighteen, she joined up as a grunt.
Because of her skills with technology and programming, Ran was first assigned as an assistant in the laboratories; but the scientists soon grew sick of her (she was not exactly the most helpful person to have around) and she was relocated to the field. There it was easier to study and train uninterrupted until, three years later, she was asked to join an undercover mission, where Pravus could take advantage of her ability to rearrange her molecules to become water vapor. Ran accepted and for the first time really saw the world. She was shocked with the living conditions of cities, but most of all shocked by the brutality with which her fellow Team members treated the clones of Mewtwo’s army they captured to drag back to headquarters. Ran had fought in battles for Team Pravus numerous times, but she had never seen unprovoked violence such as they used. Between her next few missions, she investigated more into the labs and began paying closer attention to actions. Her eyes had been opened, and she did not like what she saw.
During a mission, Ran made up her mind and, at the first sight of water, transformed and slipped away. She managed to make it to Nada Citadel, where she found a job as a technician and programmer. There she heard under the grapevine of a small resistance movement forming underground. Ran doesn't quite want to fight against Team Pravus (after all, her parents are still there, and she may be cold but she's not heartless), but she lacks a purpose in her life at the moment; and Ran does not know what to do with herself if she does not have a purpose. She figures she might as well find out more information about the group and check things out. However, she’s having trouble finding and contacting Ranger members, and even more trouble getting those she does find to trust her.

xD First . .her mother probably would have been born in Pravus . ..otherwise her being a Pokemorph would have been odd. . .but maybe a small explaination , a sentence or two, would do it.
Secondly--tone down the levels a little bit . .unless she was crazily training she would have pokemon not of those levels. .at least here.
Besides that (and the eevee should be lowest judging by age) your profile is very nicely done. Of course . .the whole 'morph' on the ranger team bugs me.
Cause they happen to be Pravus incentive.
But in all truth . .I like her.

So just a few nitpicky things . ..

Oops, sorry about the few mix-ups. XD I made some of the Pokemon levels higher because I read that a renegade trainer should have higher levels, but I guess I made it too high (sorry about that!). ^^;;;; Hopefully they're all right now?
Changed the history with Ran's mother. Also, Ran doesn't really have any passion for the Ranger cause, but she wants to do something with herself and doesn't want to go back to Team Pravus. So we'll see what happens with her. x] If you want me to do something with her morph-dom, though, I don't mind.
