Physical Appearance Information:
Cody.
Hair Color: White, almost silver. Eye Color: Emerald Green. Height: 5’6 Build: On the skinny side with a great set of muscle.
Other Appearance Information:
Although Cody may be skinny, he doesn’t enjoy wearing form-fitting clothing. Anything on the tighter side makes him feel uncomfortable, even though many people compliment him on how much better flattering clothes can look on him; however, even with the many compliments from people he knows, and random people he comes across, he doesn’t seem to listen. It’s just one of those things that seems to be an undying oddity when it comes to being himself. Another oddity Cody harbors when it comes to his style is that he has a profuse liking towards darker colors - such as black - and loves white. Reds, blues and any other bright, pastel shades can never be seen on the young man; he just hates them that much. Black and white, never in between - and it never changes.
With such an odd taste for clothing, many can believe Cody to be an unattractive young man when he really isn’t; Cody’s actually rather striking. With a well-defined and proud, chiseled jaw line, masculinity ages the youth’s face. His bright, emerald eyes also give off an air of maturity. Still, with such - as some would say - glorious features, a price is to be paid. At the prime age of twenty, a flamethrower, which had been spawned by a furious Rapidash, left the right side of his chest marred - the scars running from just above his collar bone down to his ribcage. Cody tried to overlook his scarred chest, though, pretending it wasn’t even there at times. He forced himself believe that if he acted as if he didn’t notice it, no one else would; and it seemed almost as if it were true, for no one spoke to him about it. (I think I'm going to write a short story about what happened...and who he was fighting that had the Rapidash...)
Shoes. Shoes. Shoes. Cody spends most of his days either trekking through woods, running along the beach, or jogging inside the walls of the Ranger Base, which means great shoes are a must. Unlike girls, nevertheless, Cody has one single pair of black boots that, for some odd reason, seemingly never come off of his feet. The damage of the boots isn’t completely noticeable on the feet, yet when taken off harbor the wear and tear of activity; the once-beautiful black of the shoes is faded along the ankles, now a light tan. The shoelaces even look to have taken a great deal of damage - the laces themselves knotted with flyway fuzz all over them. Still, Cody refuses to get rid of them.
As for skin piercing and tattoos on the body, Cody finds the latter more likable than the former, and has a spare few tattoos of his own, which have but a great meaning to them. On is left forearm a long, startling dagger marks his once-flawless skin saying, “Cowards die many times before their actual deaths” on the flat, silver of the blade. Then, on the right arm, Cody has an unusual black insignia of some sort; the true explanation for what it is isn't shared, or not usually. Not even the closest of his friends know what it means - he likes to keep it close to his heart. But suspicions lead to a possibility that there really is no true reason behind the tattoo other than that he was drunk that day.
Personal Related Information:
Personality:
While Cody is at a mature age of twenty-one, he is far from acting as such. Actually, Cody likes to think of himself as a teenager still, always finding it in himself to crack a joke or bring out a smile on people's faces; he's always been that way - making people grin and clutch their sides in hopes of ceasing blissful bouts of laughter. It's all fun and games to him, it seems, but he can still find it in himself to be serious when the need is presented. And when that need is presented, Cody works diligently until his job or mission is finished and perfected. Such dedication has always radiated from Cody due to the fact that he worked to make people happy; he always liked to make people.
It may seem that Cody is always happy, laughing, cracking jokes or smiling, but that's far from the case. He's actually only carefree and lovable towards the people he has come to befriend. Whenever his enemies or people he just particularly doesn't like are in dangerously close proximity that should be widened, the said person can easily tell by just paying attention to him: he tends to shrug, make sarcastic comments, snap harshly and clench his jaws and fists while provoked or even just simply antagonized. His short tempered nature to some may be highly revolting, but to him it keeps him alert. When he can feel his anger reaching its peak, he knows that the said person might not be a friend - more so an enemy.
When around girls Cody turns into a completely different person all together. Sure, he carries some of his playful jokes in his arsenal, but mainly uses pick-up lines or flirty innuendos to pick up a woman. Even then, though, when using his ways to charm a lady, it is never for a one-night-stand; he doesn't believe in the "hump and dump", never did. He likes to keep the woman he likes close to him in hopes of developing a relationship, however, those are rare; not because he's not good when it comes to relationships, but because work always comes first - never girls. No, never girls...Even if he is quite passionate towards them.
As for his Pokemon, Cody treats them like gold, and they the same. Ever since he was younger and living with his parents, Cody was taught to treat all Pokemon with his utmost respect, which clearly led into him joining up with the Rangers to attempt at bringing peace to Remoor. And even though Cody had many Pokemon back at home, his dad - and local breeder along with his wife, Amelia - wouldn't allow him one of their Pokemon; he wanted Cody to start his own journey as a full-fledged trainer and capture his own companions, which he he did. This quickly taught him to become independent and fend for himself and the others around him. So while he loves now to be around people, it wasn't always that way, and even at his current age being independent isn't bothersome. Not in the least.
History:
Cody would like to have been able to tell people he was born on a seemingly dormant mountain that was ready to erupt at any given time while his mother cried out into the heavens, working her hardest to bring him into the world, but things never really do happen the way people want them to. Instead, Cody was birthed on a small family owned Ranch in Remoor. To his parents it was their most treasured day - when their one and only real son was born(Cody liked to think that maybe they thought they messed up the natural way), and that didn't bother him. He liked having all the attention, liked holding his parents hearts firmly within the palms of his hands, adored feeling like he was the only thing that mattered to them. Feeling that way didn't last long, nonetheless, for his parents felt their family needed to be expanded - the Pokemon and Cody weren't enough - so they resorted to adoption.
Calista Ronaldson A.K.A the epitome of "super, energetic, bubbly, perkiness" all in one little girl. With her beautiful brown curls and swarthy brown eyes she became Cody's parents new fixation. And as the years went on, both siblings fought for the attention of their parents - biological or adopted parents, it didn't matter to them. Both Amelia and Rhaldon thought it was adorable to see their children both fighting to become noticed: Calista for her clear beauty and outstanding academic achievements; and Cody for his carefree way of life, devotion towards Pokemon and strength. But after a few years both Calista and Cody found it in themselves to stand each other - Cody was sixteen at the time, Calista fourteen - and a relationship blossomed.
At eighteen, while on a break from his journey, Cody dropped a bombshell to his family. He had finally decided what he wanted to do with his life from that day on, and there was nothing his parents or sister could do either way - he had already signed up to join the Rangers and had been working with them for at least two months at the time. The work load was extremely high and the pain that ached away at his joints brutal, but this was what he wanted. So at dinner that night, Cody told his parents and sister to stop eating; all of them did as told and froze in their movements - their spoons just inches from their greedy lips.
"I'm a Ranger," he had told them, smiling widely. He then broke out into a gleeful bout of laughter, clearly filled with pride for what he was doing for Remoor. He only wished his family felt the same, because they just sat, eying him with wide, confused eyes. Silence devoured everything around him, leaving him in a uncomfortable haze which he wished to just disappear into nothingness. Unfortunately, Calista broke that silence by slamming her now empty plate against the ground, ran up the stairs to her bedroom and left an awkward silence in her wake. "Well, that didn't go too well." And Cody slumped into his chair, his shoulders hunched forward as he replayed what just happened in his head over and over and over again; the antagonizing sound of his sisters pure, rigid, anger formed a tight knot in his throat, which he forcefully swallowed down. He had hurt her...
"Why, Cody? You know that Calista is staying at home; all she wants is you to be around! She stopped training her Pokemon because she wanted to help with the family business. You were supposed to do the same, all the Ronaldson's are breeders -"
"Did you ever think that I didn't want that? Mom, do you ever listen to what I have to say - to what I have to think about the subject? I love Calista, dammit, but being a breeder isn't my calling; I've found my calling elsewhere...Why can't you just accept it?" Cody complained, pounding his fists against the table. Both Amelia and Rhaldon stared at their son, shaking their heads disapprovingly. "You can't just get over the fact that I'm going out there in the world and risking my life for what other people might think to be crazy, can't you?"
Calista opened her door and peeked her head out from her bedroom door. "We want you to stay here, to be safe. But Mom, Dad, if he's going to help and fight for a cause...I'll support him," she muttered fiercely, although Cody could clearly see the puffy redness around her eyes revealing to him that she had been crying. Just that little thought in itself brought a weak smile to Cody's lips. Oh how he loved his little sister.
Amelia was next to speak: "Although I don't really approve of you possibly hurting yourself, what you're doing is something to be proud of. You have my support as well." Rhaldon gripped Amelia's hand in his and spoke: "And mine as well." For the rest of the night the Ronaldson family ate and spoke about Cody's experiences on base. Smiles glowed on each and everyone of their faces as Cody laughed to himself, proud of his accomplishments he had made all on his own. It was the greatest gift he had ever received: his family's acceptance, and it outweighed all the Birthday's and Christmas' that had passed as the years went on.
A few days later Cody decided that it was time to get back on track and make his way back to the Ranger base. So he mounted his trusty Charizard and readied himself to take to the wind. Just as he was doing so, Calista's small figure slipped out unseen from the Ronaldson home and clung to Cody's Pokemon's tail as they lifted off. Cody looked back at her, precariously gazing at the seemingly heavy backpack that rested against her small back. What was she trying to pull? "Calista, stop this! I'm going back to where I live now -"
"I know that, and I'm coming with you," she shouted over the harsh winds. Cody would usually be first to protest this, but he couldn't find it in himself to shoot down his sister's wishes, so he pulled her up behind him, which allowed her enough room to cling to her brother's back. "I won't get in your way, I just don't want to waste my life wondering what kind of life I could have lived if I didn't stay at home." Cody swallowed hard and nodded his head slowly; he understood and felt the same way. "I love you."
"I love to, too," Cody replied, now aware of just how heavy his words now weighed in his heart. He had grown used to living on his own and now, with his sister joining up in the ranks of the Rangers with him, he had to adapt to protecting her as well. It wouldn't be an easy feat, he knew that. But he would do whatever he could to keep her safe, even if that meant laying his life on the line for hers. He just loved her that much - biological sister or not, she meant the world to him.
As weeks grew into months and months dragged into years Cody gradually matured into a man of twenty-one years. He worked hard, trained hard and loved every little bit of it along the way. With his sister on his side, he felt unbeatable, like nothing could touch him no matter how dangerous.
---- Being fixed now that Calista has been made. ----
Characters Pokemon:
Name: Blaze Species: Charizard Age: 15 Gender: Male. Level: 44 Personality:
Many find Charizards to be rather intimidating, if not somewhat frightening. As for Blaze, he is the complete opposite. As opposed to him being the one to scare or intimidate people - he is scared of little things and is intimidated by older and more experienced trainers and their Pokemon. This, however, does not hinder the Pokemon from taking on his opponents, though; he puts on an act when fighting. But when he's around his trainer, simply wandering around in the fields or even just the HQ, one can hear loud howls of fear, followed by scorching heat. Aside from being frightened by many Pokemon, Blaze loves to talk just like his trainer, and being that the two are basically attached at the hip, it's kind of a given for him to be like that.
Attacks:
- Flamethrower
- Aerial Ace
- Mega Kick
- Dragon Claw
- Air Slash
- Shadow Claw
- Growl
- Ember
Name: Rocket Species: Ampharos Age: 12 Gender: Female. Level: 40 Personality:
Rocket, well, what can be said about Rocket? She's the sarcastic, witty devil - as Cody calls her. She always brings a spark to her words(pun intended) and thrives for a little bit of a conflict; whether it be with her team members, or with other Pokemon in general, one can expect Rocket to open her loud mouth and start something. She does have her moments, albeit rare ones, where she enjoys cuddling up beside Cody and listening to the stories of his usually eventful days.
Attacks:
- Fire Punch
- Thundershock
- Thunderpunch
- Discharge
- Signal Beam
- Thunder
- Hidden Power
- Hyper Beam
Name: Vice Species: Crawdaunt Age: 10 Gender: Male. Level: 42 Personality:
Vice, unlike Cody's other two Pokemon, had never developed the capability of speaking in the Human tongue. He can understand what others are saying to him, but can never answer them. Cody still loves him, nonetheless, and wishes that he could just hear Vice speak - just because he wished to hear his voice. But Vice still has his ways of communication, even though not through direct speech. He talks to Cody's other Pokemon in their native tongue, then expects them to translate for him. Along with his inability to speak, Vice is known to be a pervert--as well as a somewhat evil mastermind(He likes to think he is one...just don't tell him he isn't.)
Attacks:
- Vicegrip
- Bubblebeam
- Protect
- Swift
- Night Slash
- Shadow Claw
- Crabhammer
- Water Pulse
Name: Casper the Friendly Ghost Dia(Casper.) Species: Dia. Age: 1. Gender: Male. Level: 7. Personality:
Casper, like any other Dia, turns invisible when frightened; however, unlike most...Casper thinks he's invisible whenever he wants to be, and because of that gets himself into more trouble than needed. Any chance he gets, Casper tries to instill fear into those smaller than him--which isn't much--and enjoys every second of it(Keep in mind that these moments are rare.) Due to this superiority complex Casper believes that he is also Cody's master(Strange? Yes.) Aside from that Casper is just like any other young Pokemon: he get's into everything. Cody can never leave out his things due to the fact that Casper will destroy them accidentally. But when it comes down to it, Casper is just a sweet, young Dia with what some would think of as "odd" characteristics.
