The Player:
OOC Account: Shaki Age: Just old enough. (I'm old D: 18.) Activity Level: Depends upon mood. Mid? Other Characters: None?? YET!... him.
Basic Character Information:
Name: Jachai Jairo Jean-Jacques the Third Alias: Jachai, Peach/Peaches Gender: Male Age: 18 Alleigance: None Position: Shophelp (Dreams of being a pilot..) Species: Plusle 'Morph Sexuality: Gay
Hobbies: Likes:
Dislikes:
Physical Appearance Information:
Hair Color: Platinum blond/pale yellow Eye Color: Gray Height: 5'6 Build: Slightly muscular (He's not a rail, dangit!)
Other Appearance Information: Jean is a normal, if nice, looking guy. His peachy skin matches his slightly poofy (staticy!) pale hair and rather average facial features. He's quite neutral looking, light grey eyes exuding an inviting calmness. He is always clean-shaven. (Because he hates being prickly and beards aren't his style) Jean's hair is usually kept at a moderately short length, unkept bangs swept to the side. He's got somewhat of a swimmer's build, lean but not like dead ripped or anything. The kiddo manages to get by on what strength he has, and despite his rather small size at 5'6, he can pack an okay punch when he feels the need, if he manages to not miss. Endurance is not his strong point, he can't run or fight or anything strenuous for long. Although not often seen or noticed, there is a small plusle cheek-mark under his right eye, hidden by a medical patch or a band-aid usually.
When Jean decides to wear actual clothes, he'll often wear what is thought of as old, and I mean way old, like 1950s stuff. His outfit would normally consist of a long-sleeved white button-up, faded but colorful pinstriped slacks held up by suspenders (no belt loops!) and an old, drab brown jacket, if it's cold enough. Occasionally he'll wear gray and black, but those are rare cases when he doesn't have anything else to wear. Another choice of outfits he has are more modern clothes, consisting of khaki or jean shorts, loose to form-fitting t-shirts and worn out flip-flops. He usually wears these when the days are especially hot and lazy, during the summer or somesuch weather. When Jean decides not of wear either of those attire styles, things get a little wierd. Not only does he have old clothes of the male style, he also has some distinctly femenine clothes. Dresses. End of clothing section!
Personal Related Information:
Personality: Jachai tends to try and be as kind and calm as he can, not wanting anyone to have hard feelings against him. He can't stand it when someone dislikes him, he usually feels obligated to make himself completely pleasant or at least unbothersome. Jachai isn't very biased, he can like and befriend people from all walks of life, whether it be a life of Pravus or of clones or of Rangers. Anything is fine by him, as long as they don't hurt him or those he loves, or act really mean towards him.
Whenever there's a grump around, he tries to reason why they act the way they do, also trying to keep himself from reacting negatively to it. Angry people bother him more than he lets it seem. Jachai hates it when he gets pissed, so he tries not to get truly angry over petty things. Often he'll just be sarcastic about his dislike for something and smile in an attempt to keep it in, but once in a blue moon he gets mad. That's usually when he walks off to try and regain his composure (because if he doesn't he gets super-staticy). It makes him a little self-loathing when he can't keep his negative emotions in, they cause him a lot of electrical trouble in the end. So, he hates gettin' all angsted for a good reason. He absolutely abhors violence, and would use it only as a last measure.
Jachai, despite his righteous disposition, has his faults. One of the flaws in his character is the fact that he is a huge coward, often unable to stand up for himself physically. He's afraid of fighting, he's afraid of being in pain, he's afraid to even know that someone hates him so much as to hurt him. Ignorance is usually the course of action if he's met up with an especially displeased-with-him individual, but that's a rare occurrence. Jachai is also a tad on the slow side.. he's not the sharpest tool in the shed, and you'd be a fool to rely on him to solve non-emotional problems. He usually enjoys his slow-wittedness, preferring to be a follower over a leader. Some might go so far as to call him a puppet, but he doesn't mind too much. Smart people are a tad overrated; sometimes they can't see things that are right in front of them.
Even though he might seem to be too nice to do such things, he can enjoy poking fun at people, but it's all usually a no-harm-done kind of event. Usually. Sometimes he can be kinda bratty, but afterwards he'll get very guilty about it. It'll haunt him for a while, until his defensive mechanisms make him forget... Another bad thing about is that Jachai's certainly not afraid of lying, since he does it all the time to hide his heritage. (His excuse; a burn.) This guy is actually rather well equipped to be a liar, what with his goody-two-shoes persona and not-at-all trifling activities. You could almost say he's perfect for the job... 'Cept he really sucks at it when he's frightened or nervous, which is usually when one needs it the most. If he'd stop being so afraid, he'd be super-fantastic. But, maybe fear is a good thing for him; maybe fear is what keeps him a goody-two-shoes. One would never know until he let it go...
History: Jachai's history began not when he was born, but when his parents met each other more than 18 years ago.. It all started when a handful of experiments were released from the lab, having been morphed but with minimal or no powers, and therefore useless to the scientists. Thankfully, this meant that they were slightly less dangerous and primal than the other, more sucessful experiments, and were able to lead relatively normal lives. They still looked very different than the regular public, so they had to hide their differences with more modest clothing and generally stay out of the public eye.
Jachai II (dad!) quickly decided to house his fellow experiments in his father's old house near Nada, which (luckily) was rather well-sized. This was a rather grand stroke of luck, as the clothes hidden within that house hid most experiment's differences quite well, although they still ended up looking a tad out of place anyways. So, the experiments tried to peice back together their disrupted lives, safe for the moment in a secluded little paradise where the world seemed a bit older, more familiar, and perhaps a tad amish. The experiments flourished, many plans for the land (such as one to revive the old orchard around the house) already under way not days after they arrived. Jachai found himself enjoying life more than he had in a long time, finding faithful friends amongst his lab bretheren. One of these friends would soon transform into his lifelong love, Lina.
After really seeing each other, they instantly became attached to one another (the first frenzied day they spent getting organized didn't really count as a meeting, even though they did technically look at each other). They had much in common besides their plusle characteristics, both for instance having a mild green thumb and high interest in plant life. It wasn't long before they were considered an item amongst the other experiments, some jokingly calling them royalty. In a way, they were.. and before they knew it, they would have an heir to their throne. Jachai the Third came into the world almost a year after the experiments were released, and also during a time of great prosperity, the very first peach harvest. This was how he got the nickname of Peach, given to him by a Snorlax morph who found the baby to be very much like the new peaches... small, reddish, and slightly fuzzy.
As Jachai III grew, most experiments realized the need for their own family, their own lives, and moved out of the house to find their destinies. Some fates lay in regions far away, some fates lay within the area, but all stayed in some form of contact with the family of plusles. Little Jean was never a lonely child, having all sorts of family friends and 'aunts' and 'uncles' to play with as well as normal, unmorphed friends he met in Nada. Yessir, this boy led a normal life, having only a single mark upon his cheek as a hint to his heritage, although it was always obscured by bandaids or bandages when he went out. So, everyone thought he was a normal little boy with an exceptionally happy disposition. So what if he accidentally kept shocking people when he got excited?
When Peach was almost six, his parents decided that his innate ability to collect static in even the most un-staticy conditions was not a fluke and Lina began to teach him how to keep his static under control, and through this he gained a mostly calm attitude. As the boy got older, the world around him became more and more dangerous, and although the family was not in the direct line of fire (they did not technically claim residence in any one city, since the house was located in unpopulated countryside near Nada) there was still something to worry about. So, when they stumbled upon a little lonely minun in the wild one day, just after Jean turned 13, it seemed like they'd had a prayer answered. With a minun around, they could worry a little less about their son's safety. Peach and Ricor's personalities matched up very nicely, and they became very good friends not long after meeting.
Years later, the world is ever more dangerous, though Jachai doesn't seem to try to take notice of that fact too much... Denial is not just a river in egypt.
Character's Pokemon:
Name: Ricor (Ricky) Species: Minun Age: 5? (He's not sure about his own age.) Level: 15 Personality: Ricor is a mostly a good-natured little guy... However, he does have a bit of a fiery temper, wanting to fight for himself as much as he possibly can; very reluctant to accept much aid. He hates asking for help, and whenever he does his pride is obviously hurt, if one can go by the agitated attitude he gains. He can be a master of grumpiness, but he can still spread cheer like a flame in hay. He just has to work at it a little. Ricky tends to be slightly more logical than Jachai, often being the one getting them out of the trouble that the plusle morph seems to miss. He's a bit of a skeptic, but it's only healthy with his kind of a partner.
Attacks: Growl, Thunder Wave, Quick Attack, Helping Hand, Spark,
Role Playing Sample:
Hector tapped his foot lightly on the stair, passively eyeing the hallway at the top with his uncovered golden-brown eye. He hadn’t been wearing the faded black leather eye-patch for very long, but he could tell it was doing its job, since his vision had been getting better ever since he’d begun wearing it. Impatiently he glanced down at his watch, his sleeve creasing where he’d pulled it up. Thomas was taking forever to change into his Sunday clothes... They were supposed to be at the church in ten minutes, and it usually took them at least fifteen minutes to get there from Thomas’ house! He was definitely driving this time. He knew Thomas would try to make up for it and crash into something big like the curb or a fire hydrant… or a house.
“Come on man, we’re going to be late!” “Hold your ponies!”
Thomas, his dark hair askew, stumbled into view at the top stair, one arm in his jacket, the other flailing around rather haphazardly. Hector rolled his eye and stepped back, allowing the ball of crazy that was his friend fly past him and slam into the wall, muttering under his breath about how ridiculous the younger-acting lad was. The dark-haired boy popped up off the wall, rubbing his head where he’d hit it.
“Ow! You were supposed to stop me!” “Not if it’s gonna hurt me. Give me your keys.” “But… my baby…”
He pouted and attempted to pull a puppy dog face, but Hector knew better than to fall for that trick again. Thomas was manic outside of the car, and in it he was ten times worse. No kind of sappy begging would allow him to even think about stepping into a car with the other boy driving it. His hand snaked out from under his other one and he faced his palm up in request.
“Now.”
Thomas groaned and dug around inside his pocket, withdrawing the keys for his brand new red Mazda RX-7 and staring down at them longingly. His grandparents had gotten it for him for his sixteenth birthday, but he hadn’t been able to drive it up until a few months prior. His dad had wanted him to get a license before using the car. Just how he’d passed the test was a complete and utter mystery to Hector. Tom suddenly looked up and threw the keys at him, stalking off in an obviously mockingly moody manner and proceeded to slam the front door shut behind him. The more mature boy sighed and followed, jingling the keys absently as he exited the house.
