The story is taken place AFTER the whole Fire Lord Ozai crud, so that leaves Zuko Fire Lord, and you know the drill… Actually this takes place… I think two years after everything happened, leaving Aang now seventeen, Katara now nineteen, Sokka now…twenty-one, JESUS he’s old… But anyways. So the couples have been going about their lives, yatayata, like they should be, until one day word comes around of people being possessed, far too similar to the blood bending technique, and they never return. However, it isn’t all set upon just one nation, it’s everyone from everywhere. But the victims all have one thing in common: hatred for the Fire Nation, still even after the Fire Lord Ozai take-down, and so some people believe they ran away and started a rebellion because they do not want peace with the Fire Nation, and some just think something weird is happening, but when Toph is effected by this possession one night, immediately the gang forms up once more to fight off whatever this is, so they can return home in peace.
So uh, the gang consists of: Aang, Katara, Sokka, Toph, Suki *stab*. I might add Zuko later on, but for right now he’s staying with the Fire Nation because he is in charge, and doesn’t want to leave his people.
OUR gang consists of: Rei (my character, the fire bender who is like on speed or something with how she uses her fire bending to boost herself like rockets), Kestrel (your character obviously, who likes to chuck large boulders at random people), Tank (he’s from the Earth Kingdom, but he takes a liking to explosives, so he works well with Rei, but they don’t get along), and Leon (he’s from the Northern Water Tribe, who is a master at water bending, and is a bit cocky. He also isn’t afraid of using blood bending, but he hardly uses it, even considering that you can only use it on the night of a full moon.)
Okay, so we’re basically a team of rebels trying to get people to understand that something is wrong, because most of the civilians go about their days going ‘oh, it’s nothing serious, if it is, the avatar will save us’ but what the real problem is:
When Fire Lord Ozai was brought down, all prisoners were released from their confinement, and were returned safely to their homes. Some were happy to be home, and some were pissed at the Fire Nation, but out of that some, only three were affected gravely by their experiences in the cells. Over the years they taught themselves unique bending, nothing extravagant like Time Bending, but they were definitely different.
An Earth Bender who was confined near the beginning of the whole Fire Nation raid, was forced to have her hands bind behind her back, and before they were smart enough to throw an Earth Bender in a wooden cell, they forced them to hang above the ground by their feet. Or at least, one person had to go through this and this person taught herself gravity bending. It’s close to Earth bending more than anything else, and so the girl would position herself in a rock-hard stance, and gravity bending would only be processed through the movement of the arms, not the legs, and every movement that the girl would do with her arms would jerk around as if she felt the own pressure of gravity pushing down on her as she would alter the g-force. A hint of when she begins using her technique: her hair begins to rise as if she were in the ocean.
A Water Bender who was confined half-way through Fire Lord Ozai’s reign was forced in a cell, raised above the ground, with their hands tied from either side of the cell. (Well, just picture Hama’s cell) With every night of the full moon the girl gained more power. When the guards would finally let them rest from the shackles, the girl was able to morph matter at whim. She understood that a majority of everything around her was formed by some sort of water molecules; yes, she would suck the water out of it, leaving it practically nothing, but she consumed all of her sanity to be able to morph the water into something completely different. She has a very powerful bending, but with her insanity, she’s easy to outsmart. You just have to place her in a box. XD lmao, this idea is a bit on the ‘eh’ side, but I’ll work with her.
The leader of the three, a man in his late twenties, from the Fire Nation, was caught with his friend, who was doing the dirty deeds. The man’s friend was smuggling from the Fire Nation, and selling their weapons to enemy countries; the man told his friend to not do it, but when an authority spotted the two, the man was caught instead of his friend, who ran away not even looking back to help his friend out. So the guy easily developed hatred with the Fire Nation, yatayata, and on his times out of the cell would practice conjuring lightning and shooting it off, one day he shot at a Fire Nation elite in the head. It rerouted the man’s brain waves causing the guy to basically be a mindless zombie. (Ok the guys name is.. uh.. Bob for now) So Bob would bend normally, but instead of fire, the other guy would follow his moves exactly. Sorta like blood bending, but a lot more cleaner, and no struggling, and so the only way to fight this is by counter-attacking it with blood bending.
Ugh now that I look at it, it looks like crap, but I still am going to continue drawing us

(-sigh- I keep forgetting to use my stupid ooc account)
Oh wow. That's a lot to look over. But interesting ideas. I still don't understand how the Fire Nation dude works. AND, 21 is not old! GAWD. -hammers it into your brain- Dammit, what's the matter with you?! How is that old? It's not old! He's in his twenties! And his EARLY twenties. XD
I'm assuming you have some plan though, for original characters to meet up with canons without it seeming cliche. Otherwise I would beat you with a baseball bat. Lol. I like the gravity bending thing though (if it's what I'm really thinking of). But let me know when you got a first chapter/something done, so I can read it.
It'd be nice to look at. x3
And it'd probably be a good idea to plan it out a bit more before writing it. Just cause your muse will die if you don't know what you're doing/where you're going with it. xD Even if it's only for the next chapter or so.
But seriously. If you go through with it and write it, lemme read it. x3
