★Miscellaneous Information:
Yuudai's body structure features several tattoos, sported on his shoulders, upper arms, neck, and his entire back region. They are azure in color, like his hair, and have some connection to his status as an Aura Guardian, in correspondence with his father's side. He occasionally wears a fiery red cape, emblazoned with flames to personify a man's passionate flames raging deep within and billowing outward; this acts as a windbreaker in case storms pop up from nowhere, or if a giant blast sends debris heading his way. He wears simple, gray low rise jeans and a pair of sturdy, wooden sandals - why bother with a shirt? Then again, whenever he does feel like wearing one, he wears the casual, hibiscus print button-ups. They're easy to find these days, and they brighten up the dreary atmosphere Remoor always bears. He is also infamous for wearing a pair of ultra-pointy, fire orange sunglasses - somehow, they seem to stick to his face without any form of support. These are only pulled out whenever his manly spirit is forced to the surface. [Which is quite often.]
He does carry with him, at all times, an elaborate steel katana that once belonged to his father. It was designed for ceremonial use by his family's bloodline⎯so Yuudai has come to believe⎯and still retains its distinct cutting edge. It is capable of inflicting injury, but Yuudai does not⎯under practically all circumstances⎯draw the sword unless it's absolutely necessary. It acts as an Aura-channeling tool, of sorts.
So dig the wax out of your ears and listen! _______________ THE INNER SELF
★Personality:
Courage and confidence, followed by ignorance towards a negative society, is what holds this man together, in a nutshell. He isn't "stupid" ignorant, mind you: it is a deliberate act of defiance towards what he knows is a "Downer Debbie Society", bent on displaying their obvious depression openly and being as bleak and unenthusiastic as possible, while doing little to no work at all to fix the problems they currently undergo through. He's optimistic, and he's proud of it; he wouldn't have it any other way. As such, his optimism is complimented by a helpful disposition: he'll be more than willing to go out of his way to help a friend or ally in need, even if it gets him in tons of trouble. Not that he doesn't mind it: what do "rules" have that will hinder or halt this heaping hunk of hansome hero from doing what he wants?
He takes absolute pride in his manliness, and will make no hesistations in showing off just how masculine he is and/or can be, giving off the impression that he is nothing more than a meathead with arrogance issues. With masculinity comes arrogance as well; he is boisterous, preferring to directly rush into things without thinking it over a second or third time through, in true manly fashion. This is also encompanied by an overflowing ignorance towards most other peoples' rational opinions on most things, believing that a real man does not need to give into rationality to do what is right, which makes him unreasonably hard to deal with. He solely believes that everything and everyone, regardless of background, has a small shred of goodness within their hearts, and he is damn well determined to prove it using any means of force necessary. This also shows as over-exaggeration, as his usual bouts of manly confidence end up being more hot-headed than usual, to most peoples' embarassment.
In Yuudai's direct mind, concepts that involve solving things on a peaceful level are merely a means of asking for time one does not have in a dangerous world like Remoor, providing adequate explanation behind his seemingly reckless tendencies. Things such as those concepts, like reasoning and the use of logic hold no value in Yuudai's life, since it's a life or death situation each and every single day in Remoor. This does not mean he is completely incapable of using strategy: there have been times when he toys with people he isn't particularly fond of, or creates well-devised tactical plays that may leave opponents speechless - his actions may be reckless, but his wit is sharper than the blade he carries, often subjecting his enemies with strings of sarcastic remarks and long-winded speeches. There have been times when he will completely abandon anyone who doubts his abilities as a Trainer all because of a seemingly visible disadvantage. Yuudai thinks otherwise: "levels", in his mind, are merely false representations of a Pokémon's true, unhinged power, and that all of it comes from the heart and soul - with this mindset, he believes that by ignoring all visible means of bleak hope, he can push himself and his partners beyond their limits and overcome their trials.
He's a socalist outside of the days when his ego is at its most inflated, with Yuudai's body and expression often taking a more relaxed and rested look. He speaks in a calmer and confident voice, still retaining his masculine pride, and directly confronts a situation with the utmost attention. When it comes to the ladies, unfortunately, he often appears to be quite shallow; focused entirely on attracting a gorgeous babe's attention with his studliness, often throwing in a pick-up line or two in, to their uneasiness. This gives people that impression that he's a giant creeper, which he really isn't trying to be: however, when you've got a giant set of bouncing "gazongas" in your face, it's hard to want to look away. This is quite the opposite with other men: while he views those who share his masculine pride as "soul brothers", those who end up attempting to flirt with him usually receive nasty glares or calm, but stern, threats to simply back the fuck off: Yuudai has no, direct problems or grudges with those who "swing that way" - just don't speak to him about doing anything "serious", and you'll be cool!
As an Aura Guardian, he possesses the distinct ability to manipulate his inner energies, called "Aura", as a physically tangible form, which allows him to be well versatile on the battlefield in both offense and defense. This allows him to properly defend himself whenever he is incapable of accessing his teammates' Poké Balls, proving himself to be quite the warrior thanks to constant training regimens. Once more, he solely believes that his undying spirit as a man, as well as his one-sided beliefs in justice, fuels his ability to channel his power to adequate effectiveness and beyond. This special gift he was blessed with inflates his pride even moreso, which shows. In the line of fire, he will refuse to flee a battle that clearly appears to have been lost, no matter how bruised, broken, or battered he is - "run away, and you'll never accomplish your dreams", he always says.
The personality you see before you was forged entirely out of the sole belief that a world like Remoor, as bleak as it is, still holds a significant sliver of beauty within its toxic, barren landscapes, and that its people truly do want what's best for the world. People such as the Pravus Syndicate merely wish to make do with "what they got", which agitates Yuudai to no, absolute end, believing that humankind should work together with Pokémon to bring the world back to its feet, like he was always told it was long ago. He is often criticized for his overly optimistic outlook on the world and humanity and ridiculed for his overzealous attitude, which he completely ignores to effective avail. Deep down, he truly believes that Remoor, as well as everywhere else this planet holds, is salvageable from becoming a living Hell on Earth, just like his father once believed: and he will go the extra distance to prove that belief as undeniable fact, willing to take down anyone who wants to prove him otherwise.
Battles to him are the best possible way to express his confident, manly essence in its rawest form, reflected in that of his own Pokémon. As a Trainer, the natural goal of such a chosen path is to be the best of the best: to conquer all challenges that dare enter your way, to overcome all obstacles that one encounters, and to prove that you have what it takes to reign as the most Supreme Trainer alive. Yuudai, however, takes this to a whole, other level of grandeur: he wishes to surpass the Legendary Pokémon - living gods amongst mortal man - in battle, but will not go the distance to end their existences, if victorious. Simply put, in his own words: "The satisfaction that you won, and proved you beat your opponent, should prove justifiable evidence that you are the best. There's no reason to beat a dead horse." Dangerous and catastrophic a goal this may be if successful due to their revered and holy status to some individuals, he duly believes that if he does truly surpass such deities in battle, it visibly proves that dreams and ambitions are always worth grasping and reaching for in life, and that one's goals are obtainable with effort, hard work and courage. As such, he will often challenge enemies stronger than himself, and will fight with full force to craft his dreams into reality. This also applies to both his hated enemies as well as his friendly rivals - simply be the best of the best. Even if it means bringing down a living deity.
★Personal History:
Yuudai's life was uneventful during his early childhood, and that's taken as an understatement. Brought up in Pallet Town, home to the world-famous Professor Samuel Oak and, supposedly, several Trainers of legend: Yuudai was the subject of mixed town gossip during his tyke years. He developed multiple reputations for starting playground gangs, composed of a small handful of "tougher" children and small, ragtag bunches of Pokémon, always playing "King of the World": a childhood game where children playfully claimed whatever they set their hands on as their own, with Yuudai being its alleged "best player", always playing bold and daring, making childish challenges to those who dared defy his rule and wrestled around, like most other children his age usually did. He was a kid: the entire world was practically his oyster, and everyone had fun. He had also developed a reputation for being a storyteller, always spouting off tales of gargantuan proportions, which earned him a notorious standing as being a compulsive liar.
His biggest story yet: his father was a powerful Pokémon Trainer who had owned a Lucario, traveling far and wide to spread good fortune and will, making his mark known as a legendary Trainer of unsurpassed strength. Truth was⎯or so Yuudai claimed⎯that his father was what was called an "Aura Guardian": a race of humans who could, like some species of Pokémon, access and channel their inner energies, which was called "Aura", and use it to their benefit. He, along with his Lucario companion, accomplished a great many tasks that, allegedly, earned him a spot in Trainer legends across the globe. The end of the story concluded: he had a son after he "retired" himself from Trainerdom, and that son was named Yuudai Yamakami: "the Manly Hero Above the Mountains", and that he would succeed in his father's legacy and become a world hero.
Or so Yuudai told. Everyone didn't believe him, of course. Why would they think that Yuudai, the playground's biggest liar, claim that something as big as his father being an ultra-powerful Trainer who could use Aura be straight-up fact? That was like claiming his mother was the wife of a superhero! Yuudai couldn't have been lying: he heard these stories from his mother, word for word! They had to be true! As much as Yuudai was picked on the following months, the boy's frustration eventually turned to a sudden burst of revelation: he assumed that they were merely jealous of his supposed status as a Trainer hero's son⎯they were challenging him to prove it was true. A fanged grin erupted against his mouth, which set off a spark of determination. The flames of passion were freshly lit: thus signalling a change inside of Yuudai Yamakami. On a hot summer afternoon, he boldly stepped up to the top of the park slide and shouted at the top of his lungs: "I'm gonna go on a Pokémon journey! I'm gonna beat every one of you guys in a Battle some day, and prove that my father was a real hero! Just you wait!"
On the day he began his Pokémon journey, Yuudai had just turned ten years old: the minimum starting age Trainers set out on their journeys. Coincidentally, Johto's very own Professor Elm, the top authority on Pokémon evolution, was visiting Professor Oak's laboratory on the hillside today, and rumor had it that he brought along three Pokémon of Grass, Water, and Fire-Types with him in case someone was starting their journeys. Boldly, without even so much as ringing the doorbell, a rambunctious Yuudai bashed in the door and arrogantly demanded he receive his starter Pokémon, the latest, upgraded Pokédex Oak had in stock, and five staple Poké Balls for capturing other Pokémon. Confused at his lack of subtlety, they meekly allowed the loudmouthed boy to choose a Cyndaquil, immediately calling him "Mugen" and declaring they were partners for life. As an act of desperation, Oak and Elm simultaneously handed him his starting gear and shoved the rowdy child out the door, practically "forcing" him to start his adventure with a big bang.
At first, Mugen was rather timid of Yuudai's overly zealous and hot-blooded attitude towards the dangers of the world, believing that he was ignorant to the obvious dangers it held. Frightened by courage-bolstering speeches and battle chants that drew more attention than it did intimidate, Mugen was near terrified of his human Trainer for such scary behaviour. However, it was during a stormy night in Lavender Town's abandoned Power Plant that Yuudai had been attacked by a wild Electabuzz, whom had rampaged about. Yuudai, bravely, stepped in and attempted to take the beast on himself, believing that Mugen was too frightened to do it himself. Mugen, on the other hand, believed this to be a sign of friendship, as his Trainer was willing to defend an ally in the face of obvious danger, even if it meant death. Beaten and battered about, Yuudai still refused to give in, when Mugen unleashed a powerful blast of fire to the Electabuzz's face, burning its eyes and forcing the battle-scarred creature to flee. Not only did this allow Mugen's evolution into Quilava, it crafted an unbreakable bond between the two that proved them worthy of being "soul brothers".
Days turned to months, and months turned to years. Events were witnessed, tragedies were experienced, and joys were always around every turn. Yuudai, now sixteen, and Mugen, along with newly captured and trained team mates, rushing throughout the Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn regions like a raging wildfire, swiping Gym Badges whenever they achieved the opportunity to do so, participating in spirited battles with many of each region's set of Gym Leaders. Each battle was long and arduous, and several of them nearly ended in Yuudai's defeat time and time again: one Gym Match, in Blackthorn City, had to be officially declared invalid after Mugen sustained a grievous injury that nearly resulted in his death: Yuudai, on the other hand, wouldn't allow it⎯Mugen, too, continued to struggle, even against death's cold grasp. To the Leader, Claire's, shock and disbelief, Mugen somehow was able to land a deciding blow that ended in the hot-blooded Trainer's victory. Mugen evolved into Typhlosion after this stunning comeback victory, but was immediately rushed to the nearest Pokémon Center afterwards. Full recovery took more than a week, to the Trainer's solemn silence.
Unimpressed with the chances of death always looming at their every turn, Yuudai declared to his team that they had to grow even stronger, so that things like what happened to Mugen wouldn't so much as even glance them anymore. Naturally, in hot blooded spirit, they concluded the same exact thing. Yuudai spent more than five months in Sootopolis City's legendary Cave of Origin, training and evolving his Pokémon to levels that would allow them to survive nearly any challenge the world dared throw at them. It was here, in Hoenn, that he was subjected to the horrors of the warring organizations, Team Aqua and Team Magma: whom gained control over the legendary weather titans, Groudon and Kyogre. The battle scarred Hoenn itself, killing thousands, if not millions, and forcing everyone and everything into a near-irreversable standstill. The titans were quelled and sent to their respective slumbers, of course, but it left Yuudai trembling with a form of rage that had never once surfaced before⎯a rage directed primarily towards people who would do such cruel and idiotic things to the world for their own personal gain⎯when suddenly, awakening from within him, a strange form of energy swirled to the surface, like a tangible blue spiral, burning the ground underneath. Perplexed, he brushed it off as if it were simply a Hoenn phenomenon, immediately booking passage to Sinnoh to complete his journey of fame and fortune.
It was here in Sinnoh, while roaming around on Iron Island, that he was greeted by a wild and noticeably aged Lucario⎯a rare sight in itself⎯whom had suddenly taken an interest in the passing by Yuudai. The Lucario had sensed Yuudai's recently awakened "Aura", calmly beckoning the Trainer to follow him up the mountain and inside a rocky cave. Within here, Yuudai took witness to a giant stone tablet, depicting ancient carvings of Pokémon like Lucario, as well as statues of both humans and Pokémon holstering solid blue crystals within their hands, paws, or whatever limbs they had. It was here that Yuudai took hold of a sight that bewildered, and shocked, the Trainer: upon what looked like a rocky crag laid a brightly colored and slightly tattered cape, as well as a brightly shining, polished sword resting near its scabbard. Etched into the stone, near what looked like illegible carvings, was his father's name: "Ryuunosuke Yamakami". The elder Lucario was, indeed, the same Lucario that once accompanied his father, as determined by a silent and understanding nod. Closer inspection revealed more names, with a vast majority of them ending in "Yamakami", just like his father, to his surprise.
Unable to truly comprehend why his father's cloak and sword were here, why his name was etched into a rock with names all ending in "Yamakami", and what this exact place was, Yuudai was at a total loss for words for the first, notable time in his life. This was, ultimately, the final resting place of the great Yamakami hero - this was the terminal resting place of his entire family line from generations past. How he died ultimately remains a mystery, even to Yuudai. What Yuudai did know, however, was that this Lucario seemed to know that this boy was his master's sole heir to his legacy, and that he needed to train him in the ways of Aura manipulation. Seeing his father's possessions, and the gravestone that Yuudai ended up calling "The Stone of Spiral Paths", was most likely the ultimate key needed to unlock the human's true potential as an Aura Guardian. Perhaps he could take up his legacy and continue his quest as a so-called "hero of the people", the Lucario thought.
To Yuudai, this was simply too good to be true. Here he was, staring at the ever-visible proof everyone always called fake that his father had, indeed, gone on a massive quest. This was undeniable proof that he was to accomplish his goals and dreams and become the world's greatest Pokémon Trainer. It took him absolutely no hesitation to accept the Lucario's training, pushing his team mates to follow his "master's" instructions with upright ears. Training would take more than two years at best for the Trainer to grasp his potential and master it. During his stay on Iron Island's hidden alcove, "The Spirit Cave", Yuudai had obtained a distinct pattern of tattoos upon his shoulders, upper arms, back, and neck⎯to mark him as an Aura Guardian like his father was.
Eighteen years old, Yuudai emerged a new man, still overflowing with confidence and the determination he had been since the beginning of his adventure, he developed his potential and skills as an Aura Guardian to the point where he could willingly direct his Aura's flow towards any part of his body and make it tangible. The Lucario, whom revealed his name to be "Genji", asked to accompany Yuudai as both a mentor and as a partner⎯revealing that his father, Ryuunosuke, had commanded him to watch over his son until he grew up to be a "strong person, like his old man". Honored and excited by the proposal, Yuudai quickly accepted Ryuunosuke into the ranks of his team, thus pushing him one step closer towards achieving his goal.
Over the course of a month's leisure travels in Sinnoh, having lost all interest in Gym Battles now, Yuudai caught wind of the existence of a war-torn region called "Remoor", having been subjected to many events that slowly transformed it into a living hell on earth. In a bold and daring act of kind-spirited heroics, Yuudai instantly booked passage to this so-called Remoor region, bent on seeing exactly what this place was about. Much to his knowledge, it was indeed a hell on earth, coated in tons of toxic sludge, foul and poisonous gases all around, and filled to the brim with ragged and battle-torn cities and ravaged villages, with people a little less enthusiastic about another person subjecting themselves to an eternity in Purgatory: once you enter Remoor, there's no escape. Yuudai simply cocked a grin.
"Bring it on."
It's been a single year since he entered Remoor, and he's just started getting used to the "lovely weather"...
They're talkin' about ME! _______________ THE EVIDENCE
God, today was utterly manly!
It was as if the so-called spirit of determination possessed that of Yuudai Yamakami, whom had just recently finished with his most recent training regimen, drenched in perspiration and the masculine musk known as "manliness". [Others would be more than happy to disagree, or run away.] Sitting in a cross-legged position, he took deep and calming breaths to regain the air within his lungs, allowing whatever crisp and "clean" oxygen to enter and exit with each, repetitive breath. His muscles glistened with sweat, pulsing arteries and veins working their magic in bringing his healthy, manly blood throughout the rest of his rippling body as his heart continued to pump said manliness out and about. A cocky grin was ever present on his face, eyes closed as he thought about what he was positive he was going to accomplish today.
He had an agenda: a Battle to attend to. Some guy, or rather his loudmouthed Pokémon, apparently decided to talk shit about Yuudai's Typhlosion, named "Mugen", calling it nothing more than "a hot-headed piece of garbage that couldn't even light a fuckin' candle". Now, Mugen was hand-picked and raised by Yuudai himself: he's the best of the best⎯or so Yuudai always claims in pride. Mugen knew skills most people wouldn't even dream of their party members knowing, and this guy had the balls to come up and diss his best Pokémon? Hah! Fat chance, the human thought. Grinning still, Yuudai simply swiped his fingers across his white sequined belt, grasping a small red and yellow capsule, a Poké Ball, pressing the button on the center of the sphere to expand the object to the size of a tennis ball. With a solid movement, he chucked the spheroid into the sky, causing the device to "snap" open. POK! All at once, a stream of brilliant white light flew outward from the ball's "insides", spiralling downward and colliding with the ground, flashing a few times before it started materializing and taking shape.
The light faded quickly, revealing a large, green and cream-furred beast, nearly as tall as Yuudai was if it was standing on its hind legs, just short by a foot. From its neck, brightly colored flames spewed outward spontaneously, signalling that it was ready for whatever action it was called out for, letting out a howl of appreciation for the open space. Mugen, the Typhlosion, had arrived on the scene. Yuudai simply crossed his sweat-covered arms, fanged in grin once more. "Hah! That's how I like hearin' it! You pumped for the big match tonight?!" bellowed Yuudai in a bold and masculine voice, to show just how eager he was attempting to drive Mugen. "NGAAAAHHH!" roared the Typhlosion, flexing its arms like that of a bodybuilder. Nodding in approval, Yuudai chuckled.
He reached inside of his knapsack, rummaging around inside its ungodly cluttered depths to pull out a small, worn out notebook. Inside was a tiny scribble, jotted down by Yuudai in haste since he honestly can't take the time to write calmly. The note signalled the exact details of what this guy was, what Pokémon he had on him, and just exactly what the heck this thing blurted out to piss off Mugen. Watching the Typhlosion crack his furry knuckles into each other, snorting out small billows of smoke from his nostrils, Yuudai rotated his neck and cracked a few bones himself. He needed a stretch, anyway.
"Says here, 'you can't light a fuckin' candle', this thing said. You gonna take that?" Yuudai interrogated Mugen, whose ears twitched wildly before shooting backwards, his neck flares blazing with hot ignition.
"NRAAAAAHHHHH!!!!" bellowed Mugen, angry at the statement in itself. Yuudai flashed a smirk.
"And just what're you gonna do about it, Mugen? What, are, you, gonna, DO?!" Yuudai repeated, adding a booming, commanding tone to his phrase with all eager intentions of pissing the Typhlosion off.
In response, Mugen simply opened his mouth up and loosed a powerful and concentrated stream of fire, snapping the flamestream towards a small puddle of radioactive fluid. Ironically, it was flammable, so as soon as the fires touched the surface of the chemical-laced liquid the puddle instantly evaporated into a miniature mushroom cloud that lasted no longer than a brief moment. "YEAH YEAH! That's what I'm talkin' about!" Yuudai praised, immediately hopping to his feet and pushing himself into a quick, standing jog, hustling himself up as if he were actually sprinting. Watching his master jog in place, Mugen simply scraped his hind paw against the ground, like a Tauros ready to charge.
"I know exactly what you want, Mugen! Let's do five laps around the perimeter and then we go kick some ass!" chanted the blue-haired Trainer in wild antics before bolting off in the direction before him, catching the Typhlosion's attention as it bound to all fours, sprinting immediately after his fast-legged Trainer. In both of their minds, they were more than willing to prove the Pokémon that called them out as "worthless" dead wrong, and rub it straight back into his face.

"If it isn't zero, it's the same exact thing as 100%!"
★Pokémon: Typhlosion | Bakphoon ★Gender: Male | ♂ ★Type: Fire | Volcano ★Age: Nine | Adolescent ★Battle Level: Fifty | Battle-hardened ★Nature: Brave | Strong willed ★Battle Count: Zero Victories | Zero Defeats | Zero Stalemates ★Information: Almost identical to Yuudai in his pattern of behaviour, Mugen shares an undying courage about him that sets him apart from most younger Pokémon. Brave and loyal to his Trainer, Mugen is also the most tactical of the group, rather than his bone-headed partner, displaying a cunning about him that combines both Yuudai's reckless attitude with his own brand of genius that transforms him into a lethal opponent. He is, however, more submissive than that of Yuudai's type, and will often try see to reason moreso than he will Yuudai's belligerent ways; though he will undyingly support Yuudai no matter how idiotic he can be. Over the years he has spent with him, he is now capable of crafting human speech into his vocabulary, and speaks on a level identical to Yuudai.
★Innate Skill: Blaze | Boosts Fire-Type moves in a jam ★Held Item: Focus Band | Allows the holder to survive an otherwise fatal attack. ★Attack Index:
- Flame Wheel | Ignites self and peforms a spinning tackle that may burn the foe.
- Flamethrower | Looses a powerful jet of flames that may burn the foe.
- Lava Plume | Spews molten magma at everyone, possibly burning them.
- Rollout | Performs a rolling tackle two to five times, each attack growing in power.
- Blast Burn [Tutored] | Unleashes a hellish wave of fire that forces a turn of recovery.
- Flare Blitz [Egg Move] | Performs a lethal, flaming tackle that injures the user.
- Focus Blast [TM52] | Releases a sphere of inner energy at the foe that may lower Special Defense.
- Return [TM27]
[/b][/color] | A powerful attack using the power of friendship as an anchor.[/li][/ul] ★ Crafted Strategies:- "Burning Peelout": | This is a combination of the moves, Flame Wheel and Rollout. Basically, Mugen will spin in place, gaining enough power to launch himself forward in a supercharged spindash, igniting himself in flames as if he were performing the move, Flame Wheel. He will then rocket towards the foe at faster speeds thanks to Rollout's influence on his momentum, and deal tons more damage thanks to Flame Wheel's superheated flames.
- "Blazing Drill Tackle": | This is a combination of the moves, Flame Wheel and Flare Blitz. Mugen will envelop himself completely in searing hot flames, to the point where his internal body temperature actually rises by several hundred degrees Fahrenheit to accomodate for the flame's heat. Here, he will rush at the opponent and leap directly towards his target, performing an aerial corkscrew tackle that will seemingly drill straight into the foe. Doing this attack leaves Mugen completely unable to attack or defend for several rounds and severely weakened due to its complexity and energy consumption.

★Pokémon: Nidorino | Nidorino ★Gender: Male | ♂ ★Type: Poison | Poison Pin ★Age: Eight | Adolescent ★Battle Level: Forty-three | Experienced ★Nature: Naughty | Hates to lose ★Battle Count: Zero Victories | Zero Defeats | Zero Stalemates ★Information: Kaiser, as a Nidorino, isn't particularly fond of Yuudai holding back on his evolution via Moon Stone. In fact, he eagerly awaits the day he ascends into his ultimate form, Nidoking, and reigns as the dominant male of his species. He shares Yuudai's manly fighting spirit, and is as equally reckless as his master can be, more focused on keeping his masculine pride intact rather than looking into a situation using common sense. He displays a fierce rivalry with Yuudai's Rhyperior, Gorlassar, which may hint that he has an inferiority complex against Pokémon whom are actually stronger than he is. He is capable of speaking the human language to certain extents, however Kaiser only speaks this way in case Yuudai directly needs invoice on something, usually in basic English. Most of the time, he keeps silent or flies off the handle in his own "language".
★Innate Skill: Rivalry | Attack power increases against same-gendered foes, decreases against opposite-gendered foes. ★Held Item: King's Rock | Increases the user's chances of forcing the opponent to flinch. ★Attack Index:
- Toxic Spikes | Hurls toxic caltrops on the field, which poisons any Pokémon switching out.
- Poison Jab | The foe is stabbed with a poison-laced punch, which may poison the foe.
- Horn Attack | Attacks with a sharpened horn.
- Fury Attack | Relentlessly assaults the foe two to five times.
- Confusion [Egg Move] | Unleashes a burst of mental power, which may confuse the foe.
- Beat Up [Egg Move] | Attacks the foe, backed by the user's allies' fighting spirits.
- Attract [TM45] | Seduces an opposite-gendered Pokémon into infatuation with the user.
- Focus Blast [TM52] | Releases a sphere of inner energy at the foe that may lower Special Defense.
★Crafted Strategies:
- "Venomous Fury": | A combination of the moves, Fury Attack and Poison Jab. While it is complex and consumes stamina, it is powerful if executed properly. In layman's terms, Kaiser performs Fury Attack to force the opponent on the defensive, then slips in a lethal Poison Jab attack into an exposed blindspot. Chances of poisoning the foe if the attack connects are relatively high.
- "Sexy Party": | A combination of the moves, Attract and Beat Up. When facing against an opponent of the opposite gender, Kaiser will seduce his "mate" with Attract, to lower her odds of executing attacks in success. While she is infatuated, Kaiser will perform Beat Up, unleashing a spirited attack from himself and all of his friends. Considering they're all male, you can't help but feel sorry for what pain she'll go through...
★Pokémon: Scizor | Hassam ★Gender: Male | ♂ ★Type: Bug/Steel | Pincer ★Age: Eight | Adolescent ★Battle Level: Forty-nine | Experienced ★Nature: Quiet | Alert to sounds ★Battle Count: Zero Victories | Zero Defeats | Zero Stalemates ★Information: Yamato, like a bona-fide samurai, is calm and reserved, always collecting information even in the field of battle. He pays utmost attention to the most minute of details, which allow him to carefully plan and coordinate attacks with excellent efficiency. He is quite the opposite of Yuudai's gung-ho attitude, but he has gained favor with the Trainer due to his lethal attacking power and speed. One thing they do share in common, though, is that Yamato⎯like everyone else⎯is prideful of his masculinity, and will not take insults easily⎯lest you be chopped into confetti on the spot. He, however, does not speak in the human language, preferring to keep to his traditional "tongue" and uphold his honor as a Pokémon.
★Innate Skill: Technician | All weaker attacks will deal 1.5 times more damage than normal. ★Held Item: Metal Coat | Boosts the power of Steel-Type moves. ★Attack Index:
- Bullet Punch | Unleashes a barrage of iron fists before an enemy hit strikes first.
- False Swipe | A precision cut that leaves the foe with a sliver of stamina left.
- X-Scissor | Slices the enemy in an X-shape using pincers.
- Iron Defense | Solidifies body to match the hardness of steel, sharply raising Defense.
- Razor Wind [Egg Move] | Charges power first, then slices at the opponent with lethal, razor-like blades of wind.
- Night Slash [Egg Move] | Attacks an opponent's blindspot for a critical hit.
- Swords Dance [TM75] | Performs an ancient ritual dance to sharply raise Attack.
- Double Team [TM32] | Creates illusory copies of oneself to raise Evasion.
★Crafted Strategies:
- "Shadow Divide Multi-Barrage": | A combination of the moves, Double Team and Bullet Punch. Using Double Team, Yamato creates many illusions of himself to encircle the enemy, to catch them off guard. All at once, he will dive in with these so-called "clones" to attack with Bullet Punch, which in actuality is really his own self moving at high speeds while simultaneously encircling the foe with Double Team, giving off the appearance that all of the illusions are attacking at once.
- "Death In One Cut": | A combination of the moves, Night Slash and False Swipe. It is used primarily as a Battle-ending technique, taken in old samurai film fashion. After much combat takes place, Yamato will search out a weakspot on the foe before rushing in with Night Slash to cover distance, by which he will then perform False Swipe to hit the foe's blindspot with a lethal strike, guaranteed to injure, but not kill.
★Pokémon: Machamp | Kairiky ★Gender: Male | ♂ ★Type: Fighting | Superpower ★Age: Nine | Adolescent ★Battle Level: Forty-four | Experienced ★Nature: Adamant | Capable of taking hits ★Battle Count: Zero Victories | Zero Defeats | Zero Stalemates ★Information: Caesar is at his physical peak, having been trained to extensive levels and given personal development in the fighting and wrestling arts by Yuudai himself. As such, his body is quite thick and sturdy, capable of taking many a hit. He is just as confident as the rest of the group, and holds just as much masculine pride within himself. He acts as the party's sentinel, always willing to keep watch over the campsite whenever an opportunity arises. He, too, is capable of speaking the human language, but his grammar skills definitely need working on.
★Innate Skill: No Guard | Ensures that both the fighter and its foe's attacks always hit. ★Held Item: Muscle Band | Physical attacks deal 10% more damage. ★Attack Index:
- Submission | Piledrives the foe into a painful submission, dealing recoil damage as well.
- Vital Throw | Takes impact from an incoming attack to ensure an undodgeable throw.
- Cross Chop | Double-chops the foe with crossed arms to deal a critical hit.
- Seismic Toss | Grabs the foe and piledrives them for damage equivalent to the user's level.
- Foresight | Reads an opponent's movements, allowing for the user to hit Ghost-Type Pokémon normally and highly evasive Pokémon.
- Bullet Punch [Egg Move] | Unleashes a barrage of iron fists before an enemy hit strikes first.
- Focus Blast [TM52] | Releases a sphere of inner energy at the foe that may lower Special Defense.
- Protect [TM17] | Takes a powerful defensive stance to negate all damage. Repeated use decreases chances of success.
★Crafted Strategies:
- "Atlas Piledriver": | A combination of the moves, Seismic Toss and Submission. Grabbing the foe in a powerful headlock, Caesar jumps high in the air and spins around, executing Seismic Toss as he descends the ground below. Before the attack lands, he switches into a painful aerial grapple with Submission, locking the foe's arms and legs with his own to prevent movement before piledriving themselves into the ground. This attack stuns and damages Caesar if successful, since both he and his enemy slam into the earth with the same amount of impact.
- "Quick Counter":| A combination of the moves, Vital Throw and Focus Blast. Caesar opens himself up for an attack using Vital Throw, taking the hit and launching the foe in the opposite direction with three of his arms, charging energy into the fourth, free hand. As the foe is flying, Caesar unleashes Focus Blast at the enemy as they're hurled backwards, to deal more punishment before they even hit the ground.
★Pokémon: Rhyperior | Dosydon ★Gender: Male | ♂ ★Type: Ground/Rock | Drill ★Age: Nine | Adolescent ★Battle Level: Forty-six | Experienced ★Nature: Bold | Proud of its power ★Battle Count: Zero Victories | Zero Defeats | Zero Stalemates ★Information: Gorlassar is incredibly boisterous about his physical attacking prowess, which provides himself with quite the rival in Kaiser, Yuudai's Nidorino. Both of these two are constantly seen fighting against each other to prove who is physically stronger, which irks the Nidorino to no avail, and to Gorlassar's sadistic amusement. He places all of his confidence in his snout's drill, using it as his primary weapon in tandem with the special holes in the palms of his hands, used to fire blasts of earth. He's adamant and displays a confident attitude, like everyone else, but this is primarily due to the fact that he was originally captured in the higher mountain regions when he was a Rhydon: he is as adamant as a mountain. Like most of his comrades, save for Yamato the Scizor, he can also speak the human language, almost to the same extent as Mugen the Typhlosion, though he pronounces his "V" sounds as "Ph-" sounds, and often murrs occasionally.
★Innate Skill: Solid Rock | All super-effective moves done to Gorlassar only do half as much damage. ★Held Item: Protector | Induces evolution of Rhydon into Rhyperior when traded. ★Attack Index:
- Hammer Arm | Pounds the foe with a downward swing to lower their Speed.
- Stone Edge | Slams an arm, leg, or tail into the enemy with rock-solid impact with a high chance to inflict a critical hit.
- Rock Blast | Fires large boulders at the foe two to five times.
- Horn Drill | Uses a drill and penetrates the foe's skin, guaranteed an instant Knock Out if it hits.
- Magnitude | Creates an earthquake of varying power with each use.
- Rock Slide | Forcefully hurls a continuous stream of boulders thay may cause flinching.
- Focus Blast [TM52] | Releases a sphere of inner energy at the foe that may lower Special Defense.
- Hyper Beam [TM15] | Fires a devastating beam of power that forces a turn of recovery after use.
★Crafted Strategies:
- "Titan's Fury": | A combination of the moves, Rock Blast, Stone Edge, and Hammer Arm. First, Gorlassar fires off rocky bullets from his hand while charging the foe using Rock Blast: this provides a notable distraction. When he gets within striking range, he hurls his body weight at the foe while spinning to strike with his tail using Stone Edge. After a full revolution has been completed and the opponent opens himself up for an ambush, Gorlassar attacks using Hammer Arm, striking from above when the foe isn't looking to smack them straight into the ground.
- "Sliding Drill Breaker": | A combination of the moves, Horn Drill and Rock Slide. Instead of attacking with Rock Slide, he uses it as a means of gaining fast movement as Gorlassar summons a wave of boulders to carry him along the ground at high speed, whirling his snout drill at high speeds before penetrating the foe using Horn Drill. The move is guaranteed a lethal blow, but the chances of it hitting are slim, considering the line of sight is virtually a straight line, allowing for easy evasion. It's best to subdue the foe before using.
★Pokémon: Lucario | Rukario ★Gender: Male | ♂ ★Type: Fighting/Steel | Aura ★Age: Twenty | Elder ★Battle Level: Fifty-one | Battle-hardened ★Nature: Serious | Thorougly cunning ★Battle Count: Zero Victories | Zero Defeats | Zero Stalemates ★Information: Genji is the personal Pokémon companion of Yuudai's father, Ryuunosuke Yamakami. Aged significantly, several patches of his once sleek and magnificent fur have begun showing signs of graying, indicating that age is slowly consuming his body⎯it also shows in his everyday behaviour, as he now takes things slower than he used to and enjoys being patient, much like that of a normal, elderly human. He is not, however, by any means geriatric, and displays extreme physical and energetic prowess like that of any Lucario in battle, perhaps even more refined. He was the personal trainer of Yuudai and his team of partners, teaching them in mind, body, and spirit. Out of a self-concluded obligation to his deceased master, he now travels with Yuudai and company to ensure that the son of his Aura Guardian partner continue his father's legacy and spread his bloodline. As a joke, whenever Genji gets flustered or irritated at his master, Yuudai calls him "Benji".
★Innate Skill: Steadfast | Speed raises whenever Genji flinches. ★Held Item: Expert Belt | Moves that deal super-effective damage deal 20% more damage. ★Attack Index:
- Aura Sphere | Fires a condensed sphere of Aura power that never misses.
- Extreme Speed | Moves at near-invisible speeds to strike the foe first.
- Force Palm | Thrusts a battle-hardened palm into the foe, possibly causing paralysis.
- Detect | Senses a foe's movements, allowing for immediate and successful evasion. Repeated use decreases chances of success.
- Dragon Pulse | Attacks with a supercharged wave of power from the mouth.
- Bullet Punch [Egg Move] | Unleashes a barrage of iron fists before an enemy hit strikes first.
- Focus Blast [TM52] | Releases a sphere of inner energy at the foe that may lower Special Defense.
- Hyper Beam [TM15] | Fires a devastating beam of power that forces a turn of recovery after use.
★Crafted Strategies:
- "Shadow Divide Attack": | A combination of the attacks, Extreme Speed and Bullet Punch. Genji encircles the foe with foot movements so fast, with Extreme Speed, that multiple afterimages can be seen to give the illusion that many Lucarios are encircling the foe. He will then charge from seemingly all directions with a relentless Bullet Punch assault, providing a hard-to-counter wave of physical devastation from nearly every direction. This consumes much of Genji's stamina to perform, so it is not done often.
- "Kinshihō: Gō Rasen Metsu-Hadōken (Forbidden Skill: Strong Spiral Destruction Surge Fist)": | A combination of the moves, Hyper Beam and Aura Sphere. Genji begins the process of Aura Sphere, charging Aura energy into his paws as if he were going to condense it into a singular orb of power. After he accumulates enough power, he either braces himself onto the ground or leaps high into the air, and fires a Hyper Beam using this accumulated Aura power, resulting in a high-density blast of destruction. It is near-guaranteed to, more than likely, end the fight if used successfully, but it leaves Genji severely weakened and defenseless upon use: it can only be done once a day, due to the high levels of energy consumption.
